Genesis

47

1 Yna aeth Joseff a dweud wrth Pharo, "Y mae fy nhad a'm brodyr wedi dod o wlad Canaan, gyda'u preiddiau, eu gyrroedd, a'u holl eiddo, ac y maent wedi cyrraedd gwlad Gosen."
1Then Joseph went in and told Pharaoh, and said, “My father and my brothers, with their flocks, their herds, and all that they own, have come out of the land of Canaan; and behold, they are in the land of Goshen.”
2 Cymerodd bump o'i frodyr a'u cyflwyno i Pharo,
2From among his brothers he took five men, and presented them to Pharaoh.
3 a gofynnodd Pharo i'r brodyr, "Beth yw eich galwedigaeth?" Atebasant, "Bugeiliaid yw dy weision, fel ein tadau."
3Pharaoh said to his brothers, “What is your occupation?” They said to Pharaoh, “Your servants are shepherds, both we, and our fathers.”
4 Dywedasant hefyd wrth Pharo, "Yr ydym wedi dod i aros dros dro yn y wlad, gan nad oes borfa i anifeiliaid dy weision, oherwydd y mae'r newyn yn drwm yng ngwlad Canaan. Yn awr, caniat i'th weision gael aros yng ngwlad Gosen."
4They said to Pharaoh, “We have come to live as foreigners in the land, for there is no pasture for your servants’ flocks. For the famine is severe in the land of Canaan. Now therefore, please let your servants dwell in the land of Goshen.”
5 Yna dywedodd Pharo wrth Joseff, "Daeth dy dad a'th frodyr atat,
5Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, saying, “Your father and your brothers have come to you.
6 ac y mae gwlad yr Aifft o'th flaen. Rho gartref i'th dad a'th frodyr yn y man gorau, a gad iddynt fyw yng ngwlad Gosen. Os gwyddost am wu375?r medrus yn eu mysg, gosod hwy yn benbugeiliaid ar fy anifeiliaid i."
6The land of Egypt is before you. Make your father and your brothers dwell in the best of the land. Let them dwell in the land of Goshen. If you know any able men among them, then put them in charge of my livestock.”
7 Daeth Joseff 'i dad i'w gyflwyno gerbron Pharo, a bendithiodd Jacob Pharo.
7Joseph brought in Jacob, his father, and set him before Pharaoh, and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
8 Gofynnodd Pharo i Jacob, "Faint yw dy oed?"
8Pharaoh said to Jacob, “How many are the days of the years of your life?”
9 Atebodd Jacob, "Yr wyf wedi cael ymdeithio ar y ddaear am gant tri deg o flynyddoedd. Byr a chaled fu fy ngyrfa, ac ni chyrhaeddais eto oed fy nhadau pan oeddent hwy yn fyw."
9Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The days of the years of my pilgrimage are one hundred thirty years. Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and they have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.”
10 Wedi i Jacob fendithio Pharo, aeth allan o'i u373?ydd.
10Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from the presence of Pharaoh.
11 Yna gwnaeth Joseff gartref i'w dad a'i frodyr, a rhoes iddynt feddiant yn y rhan orau o wlad yr Aifft, yn nhir Rameses, fel y gorchmynnodd Pharo.
11Joseph placed his father and his brothers, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
12 Gofalodd Joseff am fwyd i'w dad a'i frodyr, ac i holl dylwyth ei dad yn l yr angen.
12Joseph nourished his father, his brothers, and all of his father’s household, with bread, according to their families.
13 Darfu'r bwyd drwy'r wlad, am fod y newyn yn drwm iawn; a nychodd gwlad yr Aifft a gwlad Canaan o achos y newyn.
13There was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very severe, so that the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.
14 Casglodd Joseff bob darn o arian a oedd yn yr Aifft a Chanaan yn dl am yr u375?d a brynwyd, a daeth 'r arian i du375? Pharo.
14Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the grain which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house.
15 Pan wariwyd yr holl arian yn yr Aifft a Chanaan, daeth yr holl Eifftiaid at Joseff a dweud, "Rho inni fwyd. Pam y byddwn farw o flaen dy lygaid? Y mae ein harian wedi darfod yn llwyr."
15When the money was all spent in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph, and said, “Give us bread, for why should we die in your presence? For our money fails.”
16 Atebodd Joseff, "Os darfu'r arian, dewch 'ch anifeiliaid, a rhoddaf fwyd i chwi yn gyfnewid amdanynt."
16Joseph said, “Give me your livestock; and I will give you food for your livestock, if your money is gone.”
17 Felly daethant 'u hanifeiliaid at Joseff. Rhoddodd yntau fwyd iddynt yn gyfnewid am y meirch, y defaid, y gwartheg a'r asynnod. Cynhaliodd hwy dros y flwyddyn honno trwy gyfnewid bwyd am eu holl anifeiliaid.
17They brought their livestock to Joseph, and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for the horses, and for the flocks, and for the herds, and for the donkeys: and he fed them with bread in exchange for all their livestock for that year.
18 Pan ddaeth y flwyddyn i ben, daethant ato y flwyddyn ddilynol a dweud, "Ni chelwn ddim oddi wrth ein harglwydd: y mae ein harian wedi darfod, aeth ein hanifeiliaid hefyd yn eiddo i'n harglwydd, ac nid oes yn aros i'n harglwydd ond ein cyrff a'n tir.
18When that year was ended, they came to him the second year, and said to him, “We will not hide from my lord how our money is all spent, and the herds of livestock are my lord’s. There is nothing left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands.
19 Pam y byddwn farw o flaen dy lygaid, ni a'n tir? Pryn ni a'n tir am fwyd, a byddwn ni a'n tir yn gaethion i Pharo; rho dithau had inni i'n cadw'n fyw, rhag inni farw ac i'r tir fynd yn ddiffaith."
19Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants to Pharaoh. Give us seed, that we may live, and not die, and that the land won’t be desolate.”
20 Felly prynodd Joseff holl dir yr Aifft i Pharo. Gwerthodd pob un o'r Eifftiaid ei faes am fod y newyn yn drwm, ac aeth y wlad yn eiddo Pharo.
20So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh, for every man of the Egyptians sold his field, because the famine was severe on them, and the land became Pharaoh’s.
21 Ac am y bobl, fe'u gwnaeth i gyd yn gaethion, o naill gwr yr Aifft i'r llall.
21As for the people, he moved them to the cities from one end of the border of Egypt even to the other end of it.
22 Yr unig dir na phrynodd mohono oedd tir yr offeiriaid. Yr oedd gan yr offeiriaid gyfran wedi ei phennu gan Pharo, ac ar y gyfran a roddwyd iddynt gan Pharo yr oeddent yn byw; felly ni werthasant eu tir.
22Only he didn’t buy the land of the priests, for the priests had a portion from Pharaoh, and ate their portion which Pharaoh gave them. That is why they didn’t sell their land.
23 Yna dywedodd Joseff wrth y bobl, "Yr wyf heddiw wedi eich prynu chwi a'ch tir i Pharo. Dyma had ichwi; heuwch chwithau'r tir.
23Then Joseph said to the people, “Behold, I have bought you and your land today for Pharaoh. Behold, here is seed for you, and you shall sow the land.
24 Pan ddaw'r cynhaeaf rhowch y bumed ran i Pharo. Cewch gadw pedair rhan o'r cnwd yn had i'r meysydd ac yn fwyd i chwi, eich teuluoedd a'ch rhai bach."
24It will happen at the harvests, that you shall give a fifth to Pharaoh, and four parts will be your own, for seed of the field, for your food, for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.”
25 Meddent hwythau, "Yr wyt wedi arbed ein bywyd. Os yw'n dderbyniol gan ein harglwydd, byddwn yn gaethion i Pharo."
25They said, “You have saved our lives! Let us find favor in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants.”
26 Felly gwnaeth Joseff hi'n ddeddf yng ngwlad yr Aifft, deddf sy'n sefyll hyd heddiw, fod y bumed ran yn eiddo i Pharo. Tir yr offeiriaid oedd yr unig dir na ddaeth yn eiddo i Pharo.
26Joseph made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt to this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth. Only the land of the priests alone didn’t become Pharaoh’s.
27 Arhosodd yr Israeliaid yn yr Aifft, yng ngwlad Gosen. Cawsant feddiannau ynddi, a bu iddynt gynyddu ac amlhau yn ddirfawr.
27Israel lived in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen; and they got themselves possessions therein, and were fruitful, and multiplied exceedingly.
28 Bu Jacob fyw ddwy flynedd ar bymtheg yng ngwlad yr Aifft. Felly yr oedd oed llawn Jacob yn gant pedwar deg a saith.
28Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years. So the days of Jacob, the years of his life, were one hundred forty-seven years.
29 Pan nesaodd diwrnod marw Israel, galwodd ei fab Joseff, ac meddai wrtho, "Os cefais unrhyw ffafr yn dy olwg, rho dy law dan fy nghlun a thynga y byddi'n deyrngar a ffyddlon imi. Paid 'm claddu yn yr Aifft,
29The time drew near that Israel must die, and he called his son Joseph, and said to him, “If now I have found favor in your sight, please put your hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me. Please don’t bury me in Egypt,
30 ond pan orweddaf gyda'm hynafiaid, cluda fi o'r Aifft a'm claddu yn eu beddrod hwy." Atebodd Joseff, "Mi wnaf fel yr wyt yn dymuno."
30but when I sleep with my fathers, you shall carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their burying place.” He said, “I will do as you have said.”
31 Ychwanegodd Jacob, "Dos ar dy lw wrthyf." Aeth yntau ar ei lw. Yna ymgrymodd Israel a'i bwys ar ei ffon.
31He said, “Swear to me,” and he swore to him. Israel bowed himself on the bed’s head.
