1 Gwae Ariel, Ariel, y ddinas lle gwersyllodd Dafydd. Gadewch i'r blynyddoedd fynd heibio, aed y gwyliau yn eu cylch;
1Woe to Ariel! Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the feasts come around;
2 yna dygaf gyfyngder ar Ariel, a bydd galar a chwynfan; bydd yn Ariel mewn gwirionedd i mi.
2then I will distress Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation. She shall be to me as an altar hearth or, Ariel .
3 Gwersyllaf o'th gwmpas fel cylch, gwarchaeaf o'th amgylch thyrau, codaf offer gwarchae yn dy erbyn.
3I will encamp against you all around you, and will lay siege against you with posted troops. I will raise siege works against you.
4 Fe'th ddarostyngir, a byddi'n llefaru o'r pridd, ac yn sisial dy eiriau o'r llwch; daw dy lais fel llais ysbryd o'r pridd, daw sibrwd dy eiriau o'r llwch.
4You will be brought down, and will speak out of the ground. Your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will be as of one who has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech will whisper out of the dust.
5 Ond bydd tyrfa dy elynion fel llwch mn, a thyrfa dy gaseion fel us yn mynd heibio; yna'n sydyn, ar amrantiad,
5But the multitude of your foes will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff that blows away. Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.
6 fe'th gosbir gan ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd tharan a daeargryn a su373?n mawr, storm a thymestl a fflam dn ysol.
6She will be visited by Yahweh of Armies with thunder, with earthquake, with great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and with the flame of a devouring fire.
7 Bydd holl dyrfa'r cenhedloedd sy'n rhyfela yn erbyn Ariel, yn erbyn ei holl amddiffynfa a'i chadernid, ac yn ei gormesu, fel breuddwyd, fel gweledigaeth nos
7The multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night.
8 fel y bydd y newynog yn breuddwydio ei fod yn bwyta, ac yn deffro a'i gael ei hun yn wag, fel y bydd y sychedig yn breuddwydio ei fod yn yfed, ac yn deffro a'i gael ei hun yn wan a sychedig. Felly y bydd gyda thyrfa'r holl genhedloedd sy'n rhyfela yn erbyn Mynydd Seion.
8It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.
9 Safwch yn syn a syfrdan, yn ddall a hurt; ewch yn feddw, ond nid ar win, yn chwil, ond nid ar ddiod gadarn.
9Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
10 Canys tywalltodd yr ARGLWYDD arnoch ysbryd trwmgwsg; caeodd eich llygaid, sef y proffwydi, a gorchuddiodd eich pennau, sef y gweledyddion.
10For Yahweh has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and he has covered your heads, the seers.
11 Aeth y broffwydoliaeth i gyd fel geiriau llyfr dan sl. Os rhoddir ef i un a all ddarllen, a dweud, "Darllen hwn i mi", fe etyb, "Ni allaf, oherwydd y mae wedi ei selio."
11All vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is educated, saying, “Read this, please”; and he says, “I can’t, for it is sealed:”
12 Ac os rhoddir ef i un na all ddarllen, a dweud, "Darllen hwn i mi", fe etyb, "Ni fedraf ddarllen."
12and the book is delivered to one who is not educated, saying, “Read this, please”; and he says, “I can’t read.”
13 Yna fe ddywedodd yr ARGLWYDD, "Oherwydd bod y bobl hyn yn nesu ataf a thalu gwrogaeth i mi geiriau yn unig, ond eu calon ymhell oddi wrthyf, a'u parch i mi yn ddim ond cyfraith ddynol wedi ei dysgu ar gof,
13The Lord said, “Because this people draws near with their mouth and with their lips to honor me, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught;
14 am hynny wele fi'n gwneud rhyfeddod eto, ac yn syfrdanu'r bobl hyn; difethir doethineb eu doethion a chuddir deall y rhai deallus."
14therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.”
15 Gwae y rhai sy'n cloddio'n ddwfn i gadw eu cynllwyn yn gudd rhag yr ARGLWYDD; am fod eu gwaith yn y tywyllwch, dywedant, "Pwy sy'n ein gweld? Pwy sy'n gwybod?"
15Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from Yahweh, and whose works are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?”
16 Troi popeth o chwith yr ydych. A yw'r crochenydd i'w ystyried fel clai? A ddywed y peth a wnaethpwyd am ei wneuthurwr, "Nid ef a'm gwnaeth"? A ddywed y llestr am ei luniwr, "Nid yw'n deall"?
16You turn things upside down! Should the potter be thought to be like clay; that the thing made should say about him who made it, “He didn’t make me”; or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding?”
17 Onid ychydig bach fydd eto nes troi Lebanon yn ddoldir, a'r doldir yn cael ei ystyried yn goetir?
17Isn’t it yet a very little while, and Lebanon will be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will be regarded as a forest?
18 Yn y dydd hwnnw bydd y rhai byddar yn clywed geiriau o lyfr, a llygaid y deillion yn gweld allan o'r tywyllwch dudew.
18In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
19 Caiff y rhai llariaidd eto lawenychu yn yr ARGLWYDD, a'r tlotaf o bobl ymffrostio yn Sanct Israel.
19The humble also will increase their joy in Yahweh, and the poor among men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20 Darfu am y rhai creulon, peidiodd y rhai trahaus, torrir ymaith bob un sy'n barod i wneud drygioni,
20For the ruthless is brought to nothing, and the scoffer ceases, and all those who are alert to do evil are cut off—
21 a phawb sy'n cyhuddo dyn o gamwedd, yn gosod magl i'r un sy'n erlyn yn y porth, ac yn atal barn trwy dwyllo'r cyfiawn.
21who cause a person to be indicted by a word, and lay a snare for the arbiter in the gate, and who deprive the innocent of justice with false testimony.
22 Am hynny, fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD wrth du375? Jacob, y Duw a waredodd Abraham: "Nid yw'n amser i Jacob gywilyddio, nac yn awr i'w wyneb welwi;
22Therefore thus says Yahweh, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall no longer be ashamed, neither shall his face grow pale.
23 pan wl ef ei blant, gwaith fy nwylo o'i fewn, fe sancteiddiant fy enw, sancteiddiant Sanct Jacob, ac ofnant Dduw Israel;
23But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in the midst of him, they will sanctify my name. Yes, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
24 a bydd y rhai cyfeiliornus o ysbryd yn dysgu deall, a'r rhai gwrthnysig yn derbyn gwers."
24They also who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will receive instruction.”
