1 Yna atebodd Job:
1Then Job answered,
2 "O fel yr wyt ti wedi cynorthwyo'r di-rym, a chynnal braich y di-nerth,
2“How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength!
3 a rhoi cyngor i'r diddeall, a mynegi digonedd o wir ddoethineb!
3How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!
4 I bwy yr oeddit yn traethu geiriau, a pha ysbryd a ddaeth allan ohonot?
4To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came forth from you?
5 Cryna'r cysgodion yn y dyfnder, a'r dyfroedd hefyd, a'r rhai sy'n trigo ynddynt.
5“Those who are deceased tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.
6 Y mae Sheol yn noeth ger ei fron, ac nid oes gorchudd dros Abadon.
6 Sheol Sheol is the lower world or the grave. is naked before God, and Abaddon Abaddon means Destroyer. has no covering.
7 Taena'r gogledd ar y gwagle, a gesyd y ddaear ar ddim.
7He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.
8 Rhwyma'r dyfroedd yn ei gymylau, ac ni rwygir y cwmwl odanynt.
8He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them.
9 Taena orchudd dros wyneb y lloer, a thyn ei gwmwl drosto.
9He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it.
10 Gesyd gylch ar wyneb y dyfroedd, yn derfyn rhwng goleuni a thywyllwch.
10He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness.
11 Sigla colofnau'r nefoedd, a dychrynant pan gerydda.
11The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.
12 Tawelodd y mr 'i nerth, a thrawodd Rahab trwy ei ddoethineb.
12He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.
13 Cliriodd y nefoedd 'i wynt; trywanodd ei law y sarff wibiog.
13By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.
14 Eto nid yw hyn ond ymylon ei ffyrdd; prin sibrwd a glywsom am yr hyn a wnaeth. Ond pwy a ddirnad drawiad ei nerth?"
14Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”
