Job

34

1 Dywedodd Elihu:
1Moreover Elihu answered,
2 "Gwrandewch ar fy ngeiriau, chwi ddoethion; clustfeiniwch arnaf, chwi rai deallus.
2“Hear my words, you wise men. Give ear to me, you who have knowledge.
3 Oherwydd y glust sydd yn profi geiriau, fel y profir bwyd gan daflod y genau.
3For the ear tries words, as the palate tastes food.
4 Gadewch i ni ddewis yr hyn sy'n iawn, a phenderfynu gyda'n gilydd beth sy'n dda.
4Let us choose for us that which is right. Let us know among ourselves what is good.
5 Dywedodd Job, 'Yr wyf yn gyfiawn, ond trodd Duw farn oddi wrthyf.
5For Job has said, ‘I am righteous, God has taken away my right:
6 Er fy mod yn iawn, fe'm gwneir yn gelwyddog; y mae fy archoll yn ffyrnig, a minnau heb droseddu.'
6Notwithstanding my right I am considered a liar. My wound is incurable, though I am without disobedience.’
7 Pwy sydd fel Job, yn drachtio dirmyg fel du373?r,
7What man is like Job, who drinks scorn like water,
8 yn cadw cwmni rhai ofer, ac yn gwag-symera gyda'r drygionus?
8Who goes in company with the workers of iniquity, and walks with wicked men?
9 Oherwydd dywedodd, 'Nid yw o werth i neb ymhyfrydu yn Nuw.'
9For he has said, ‘It profits a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.’
10 "Am hyn, chwi bobl ddeallus, gwrandewch arnaf. Pell y bo oddi wrth Dduw wneud drygioni, ac oddi wrth yr Hollalluog weithredu'n anghyfiawn.
10“Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness, from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
11 Oherwydd fe dl ef i bob un yn l ei weithred, a'i wobrwyo yn l ei ffordd o fyw.
11For the work of a man he will render to him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
12 Yn wir, nid yw Duw byth yn gwneud drwg, ac nid yw'r Hollalluog yn gwyrdroi barn.
12Yes surely, God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert justice.
13 Pwy a'i gosododd ef mewn awdurdod ar y ddaear, a rhoi'r byd cyfan iddo?
13Who put him in charge of the earth? or who has appointed him over the whole world?
14 Pe byddai ef yn rhoi ei fryd ar ddwyn ei ysbryd a'i anadl yn l ato'i hun,
14If he set his heart on himself, If he gathered to himself his spirit and his breath,
15 yna byddai pob cnawd yn marw, a phawb yn dychwelyd i'r pridd.
15all flesh would perish together, and man would turn again to dust.
16 "Os oes gennyt ti ddeall, gwrando hyn, a rho sylw i'm geiriau.
16“If now you have understanding, hear this. Listen to the voice of my words.
17 A all un sy'n casu barn lywodraethu? A gondemni di'r un cyfiawn cadarn?
17Shall even one who hates justice govern? Will you condemn him who is righteous and mighty?—
18 Gall ef ddweud wrth frenin, 'Y dihiryn', ac wrth lywodraethwyr, 'Y cnafon';
18Who says to a king, ‘Vile!’ or to nobles, ‘Wicked!’?
19 nid yw'n dangos ffafr at swyddogion, nac yn rhoi'r cyfoethog o flaen y tlawd, oherwydd gwaith ei ddwylo yw pob un ohonynt.
19Who doesn’t respect the persons of princes, nor respects the rich more than the poor; for they all are the work of his hands.
20 Mewn moment byddant farw, yng nghanol nos; trenga'r cyfoethog, a diflannu; symudir ymaith y cryf heb ymdrech.
20In a moment they die, even at midnight. The people are shaken and pass away. The mighty are taken away without a hand.
21 "Y mae ei lygaid yn gwylio ffyrdd pob un, a gwl ei holl gamau.
21“For his eyes are on the ways of a man. He sees all his goings.
22 Nid oes tywyllwch na chaddug lle y gall drwgweithredwyr guddio.
22There is no darkness, nor thick gloom, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
23 Nid oes amser wedi ei drefnu i neb ddod i farn o flaen Duw;
23For he doesn’t need to consider a man further, that he should go before God in judgment.
24 y mae ef yn dryllio'r cryfion heb eu profi, ac yn gosod eraill yn eu lle.
24He breaks in pieces mighty men in ways past finding out, and sets others in their place.
25 Y mae'n adnabod eu gweithredoedd, ac yn eu dymchwel a'u dryllio mewn noson.
25Therefore he takes knowledge of their works. He overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
26 Y mae'n eu taro o achos eu drygioni, a hynny yng ngu373?ydd pawb,
26He strikes them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
27 am eu bod yn troi oddi wrtho, ac yn gwrthod ystyried yr un o'i ffyrdd.
27because they turned aside from following him, and wouldn’t pay attention to any of his ways,
28 Gwnnt i gri'r tlawd ddod ato, ac iddo glywed gwaedd yr anghenus.
28so that they caused the cry of the poor to come to him. He heard the cry of the afflicted.
29 Ond y mae ef yn dawel, pwy bynnag a wna ddrwg; y mae'n cuddio'i wyneb, pwy bynnag a'i cais boed genedl neu unigolyn
29When he gives quietness, who then can condemn? When he hides his face, who then can see him? Alike whether to a nation, or to a man,
30 rhag i neb annuwiol lywodraethu, a maglu pobl.
30that the godless man may not reign, that there be no one to ensnare the people.
31 "Os dywed un wrth Dduw, 'Euthum ar gyfeiliorn, ni wnaf ddrwg eto;
31“For has any said to God, ‘I am guilty, but I will not offend any more.
32 am na allaf fi weld, hyffordda di fi; os gwneuthum ddrygioni, ni chwanegaf ato'
32Teach me that which I don’t see. If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more’?
33 a wyt ti, sydd wedi ei wrthod, yn tybio y bydd ef yn fodlon ar hynny? Ti sydd i ddewis, nid fi; traetha yr hyn a wyddost.
33Shall his recompense be as you desire, that you refuse it? For you must choose, and not I. Therefore speak what you know.
34 Y mae pobl ddeallus yn siarad mi, a rhai doeth yn gwrando arnaf.
34Men of understanding will tell me, yes, every wise man who hears me:
35 Ond y mae Job yn llefaru heb ystyried, ac nid yw ei eiriau yn ddeallus.
35‘Job speaks without knowledge. His words are without wisdom.’
36 O na phrofid Job i'r eithaf, gan fod ei atebion fel rhai pobl ddrwg!
36I wish that Job were tried to the end, because of his answering like wicked men.
37 Y mae'n ychwanegu gwrthryfel at ei bechod, yn codi amheuaeth ynghylch ei drosedd yn ein plith, ac yn amlhau geiriau yn erbyn Duw."
37For he adds rebellion to his sin. He claps his hands among us, and multiplies his words against God.”
