John

20

1 Ar y dydd cyntaf o'r wythnos, yn fore, tra oedd hi eto'n dywyll, dyma Mair Magdalen yn dod at y bedd, ac yn gweld bod y maen wedi ei dynnu oddi wrth y bedd.
1Now on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went early, while it was still dark, to the tomb, and saw the stone taken away from the tomb.
2 Rhedodd, felly, nes dod at Simon Pedr a'r disgybl arall, yr un yr oedd Iesu'n ei garu. Ac meddai wrthynt, "Y maent wedi cymryd yr Arglwydd allan o'r bedd, ac ni wyddom lle y maent wedi ei roi i orwedd."
2Therefore she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have laid him!”
3 Yna cychwynnodd Pedr a'r disgybl arall allan, a mynd at y bedd.
3Therefore Peter and the other disciple went out, and they went toward the tomb.
4 Yr oedd y ddau'n cydredeg, ond rhedodd y disgybl arall ymlaen yn gynt na Pedr, a chyrraedd y bedd yn gyntaf.
4They both ran together. The other disciple outran Peter, and came to the tomb first.
5 Plygodd i edrych, a gwelodd y llieiniau yn gorwedd yno, ond nid aeth i mewn.
5Stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths lying, yet he didn’t enter in.
6 Yna daeth Simon Pedr ar ei l, a mynd i mewn i'r bedd. Gwelodd y llieiniau yn gorwedd yno,
6Then Simon Peter came, following him, and entered into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying,
7 a hefyd y cadach oedd wedi bod am ei ben ef; nid oedd hwn yn gorwedd gyda'r llieiniau, ond ar wahn, wedi ei blygu ynghyd.
7and the cloth that had been on his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but rolled up in a place by itself.
8 Yna aeth y disgybl arall, y cyntaf i ddod at y bedd, yntau i mewn. Gwelodd, ac fe gredodd.
8So then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed.
9 Oherwydd nid oeddent eto wedi deall yr hyn a ddywed yr Ysgrythur, fod yn rhaid iddo atgyfodi oddi wrth y meirw.
9For as yet they didn’t know the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
10 Yna aeth y disgyblion yn l adref.
10So the disciples went away again to their own homes.
11 Ond yr oedd Mair yn dal i sefyll y tu allan i'r bedd, yn wylo. Wrth iddi wylo felly, plygodd i edrych i mewn i'r bedd,
11But Mary was standing outside at the tomb weeping. So, as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb,
12 a gwelodd ddau angel mewn dillad gwyn yn eistedd lle'r oedd corff Iesu wedi bod yn gorwedd, un wrth y pen a'r llall wrth y traed.
12and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
13 Ac meddai'r rhain wrthi, "Wraig, pam yr wyt ti'n wylo?" Atebodd hwy, "Y maent wedi cymryd fy Arglwydd i ffwrdd, ac ni wn i lle y maent wedi ei roi i orwedd."
13They told her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I don’t know where they have laid him.”
14 Wedi iddi ddweud hyn, troes yn ei hl, a gwelodd Iesu'n sefyll yno, ond heb sylweddoli mai Iesu ydoedd.
14When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, and didn’t know that it was Jesus.
15 "Wraig," meddai Iesu wrthi, "pam yr wyt ti'n wylo? Pwy yr wyt yn ei geisio?" Gan feddwl mai'r garddwr ydoedd, dywedodd hithau wrtho, "Os mai ti, syr, a'i cymerodd ef, dywed wrthyf lle y rhoddaist ef i orwedd, ac fe'i cymeraf fi ef i'm gofal."
15Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?” She, supposing him to be the gardener, said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.”
16 Meddai Iesu wrthi, "Mair." Troes hithau, ac meddai wrtho yn iaith yr Iddewon, "Rabbwni" (hynny yw, Athro).
16Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him, “Rabboni !” which is to say, “Teacher !”
17 Meddai Iesu wrthi, "Paid glynu wrthyf, oherwydd nid wyf eto wedi esgyn at y Tad. Ond dos at fy mrodyr, a dywed wrthynt, 'Yr wyf yn esgyn at fy Nhad i a'ch Tad chwi, fy Nuw i a'ch Duw chwi.'"
17Jesus said to her, “Don’t hold me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers, and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
18 Ac aeth Mair Magdalen i gyhoeddi'r newydd i'r disgyblion. "Yr wyf wedi gweld yr Arglwydd," meddai, ac eglurodd ei fod wedi dweud y geiriau hyn wrthi.
18Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had said these things to her.
19 Gyda'r nos ar y dydd cyntaf hwnnw o'r wythnos, yr oedd y drysau wedi eu cloi lle'r oedd y disgyblion, oherwydd eu bod yn ofni'r Iddewon. A dyma Iesu'n dod ac yn sefyll yn eu canol, ac yn dweud wrthynt, "Tangnefedd i chwi!"
19When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were locked where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be to you.”
20 Wedi dweud hyn, dangosodd ei ddwylo a'i ystlys iddynt. Pan welsant yr Arglwydd, llawenychodd y disgyblion.
20When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad when they saw the Lord.
21 Meddai Iesu wrthynt eilwaith, "Tangnefedd i chwi! Fel y mae'r Tad wedi fy anfon i, yr wyf fi hefyd yn eich anfon chwi."
21Jesus therefore said to them again, “Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”
22 Ac wedi dweud hyn, anadlodd arnynt a dweud: "Derbyniwch yr Ysbryd Gln.
22When he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit!
23 Os maddeuwch bechodau rhywun, y maent wedi eu maddau; os peidiwch 'u maddau, y maent heb eu maddau."
23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, they have been forgiven them. If you retain anyone’s sins, they have been retained.”
24 Nid oedd Thomas, a elwir Didymus, un o'r Deuddeg, gyda hwy pan ddaeth Iesu atynt.
24But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, wasn’t with them when Jesus came.
25 Ac felly dywedodd y disgyblion eraill wrtho, "Yr ydym wedi gweld yr Arglwydd." Ond meddai ef wrthynt, "Os na welaf l yr hoelion yn ei ddwylo, a rhoi fy mys yn l yr hoelion, a'm llaw yn ei ystlys, ni chredaf fi byth."
25The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
26 Ac ymhen wythnos, yr oedd y disgyblion unwaith eto yn y tu375?, a Thomas gyda hwy. A dyma Iesu'n dod, er bod y drysau wedi eu cloi, ac yn sefyll yn y canol a dweud, "Tangnefedd i chwi!"
26After eight days again his disciples were inside, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, the doors being locked, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace be to you.”
27 Yna meddai wrth Thomas, "Estyn dy fys yma. Edrych ar fy nwylo. Estyn dy law a'i rhoi yn fy ystlys. A phaid bod yn anghredadun, bydd yn gredadun."
27Then he said to Thomas, “Reach here your finger, and see my hands. Reach here your hand, and put it into my side. Don’t be unbelieving, but believing.”
28 Atebodd Thomas ef, "Fy Arglwydd a'm Duw!"
28Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Dywedodd Iesu wrtho, "Ai am i ti fy ngweld i yr wyt ti wedi credu? Gwyn eu byd y rhai a gredodd heb iddynt weld."
29Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed.”
30 Yr oedd llawer o arwyddion eraill, yn wir, a wnaeth Iesu yng ngu373?ydd ei ddisgyblion, nad ydynt wedi eu cofnodi yn y llyfr hwn.
30Therefore Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book;
31 Ond y mae'r rhain wedi eu cofnodi er mwyn i chwi gredu mai Iesu yw'r Meseia, Mab Duw, ac er mwyn i chwi trwy gredu gael bywyd yn ei enw ef.
31but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.
