1 Wedi hynny penododd yr Arglwydd ddeuddeg a thrigain arall, a'u hanfon allan o'i flaen, bob yn ddau, i bob tref a man yr oedd ef ei hun am fynd iddynt.
1Now after these things, the Lord also appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two ahead of him literally, “before his face” into every city and place, where he was about to come.
2 Dywedodd wrthynt, "Y mae'r cynhaeaf yn fawr ond y gweithwyr yn brin; deisyfwch felly ar arglwydd y cynhaeaf i anfon gweithwyr i'w gynhaeaf.
2Then he said to them, “The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest.
3 Ewch; dyma fi'n eich anfon allan fel u373?yn i blith bleiddiaid.
3 Go your ways. Behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.
4 Peidiwch chario na phwrs na chod na sandalau, a pheidiwch chyfarch neb ar y ffordd.
4 Carry no purse, nor wallet, nor sandals. Greet no one on the way.
5 Pa du375? bynnag yr ewch i mewn iddo, dywedwch yn gyntaf, 'Tangnefedd i'r teulu hwn.'
5 Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’
6 Os bydd yno rywun tangnefeddus, bydd eich tangnefedd yn gorffwys arno ef; onid e, bydd yn dychwelyd atoch chwi.
6 If a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.
7 Arhoswch yn y tu375? hwnnw, a bwyta ac yfed yr hyn a gewch ganddynt, oherwydd y mae'r gweithiwr yn haeddu ei gyflog. Peidiwch symud o du375? i du375?.
7 Remain in that same house, eating and drinking the things they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Don’t go from house to house.
8 Ac i ba dref bynnag yr ewch, a chael derbyniad, bwytewch yr hyn a osodir o'ch blaen.
8 Into whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat the things that are set before you.
9 Iachewch y cleifion yno, a dywedwch wrthynt, 'Y mae teyrnas Dduw wedi dod yn agos atoch.'
9 Heal the sick who are therein, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God has come near to you.’
10 Pa dref bynnag yr ewch iddi a chael eich gwrthod, ewch allan i'w strydoedd a dywedwch,
10 But into whatever city you enter, and they don’t receive you, go out into its streets and say,
11 'Yn eich erbyn chwi, yr ydym yn sychu ymaith hyd yn oed y llwch o'ch tref a lynodd wrth ein traed. Eto gwybyddwch hyn: y mae teyrnas Dduw wedi dod yn agos.'
11 ‘Even the dust from your city that clings to us, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the Kingdom of God has come near to you.’
12 Rwy'n dweud wrthych y caiff Sodom ar y Dydd hwnnw lai i'w ddioddef na'r dref honno.
12 I tell you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.
13 "Gwae di, Chorasin! Gwae di, Bethsaida! Oherwydd petai'r gwyrthiau a wnaethpwyd ynoch chwi wedi eu gwneud yn Tyrus a Sidon, buasent wedi edifarhau erstalwm, gan eistedd mewn sachliain a lludw.
13 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
14 Eto, caiff Tyrus a Sidon lai i'w ddioddef yn y Farn na chwi.
14 But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.
15 A thithau, Capernaum, 'A ddyrchefir di hyd nef? Byddi'n disgyn hyd Hades.'
15 You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades. Hades is the lower realm of the dead, or Hell.
16 Y mae'r sawl sy'n gwrando arnoch chwi yn gwrando arnaf fi, a'r sawl sy'n eich anwybyddu chwi yn f'anwybyddu i; ac y mae'r sawl sy'n f'anwybyddu i yn anwybyddu'r hwn a'm hanfonodd i."
16 Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me. Whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”
17 Dychwelodd y deuddeg a thrigain yn llawen, gan ddweud, "Arglwydd, y mae hyd yn oed y cythreuliaid yn ymddarostwng inni yn dy enw di."
17The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”
18 Meddai wrthynt, "Yr oeddwn yn gweld Satan fel mellten yn syrthio o'r nef.
18He said to them, “I saw Satan having fallen like lightning from heaven.
19 Dyma fi wedi rhoi i chwi yr awdurdod i sathru ar seirff ac ysgorpionau, ac i drechu holl nerth y gelyn; ac ni'ch niweidir chwi gan ddim.
19 Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you.
20 Eto, peidiwch llawenhau yn hyn, fod yr ysbrydion yn ymddarostwng i chwi; llawenhewch oherwydd fod eich enwau wedi eu hysgrifennu yn y nefoedd."
20 Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
21 Yr awr honno gorfoleddodd yn yr Ysbryd Gln, ac meddai, "Yr wyf yn dy foliannu di, O Dad, Arglwydd nef a daear, am iti guddio'r pethau hyn rhag y doethion a'r deallusion, a'u datguddio i rai bychain; ie, O Dad, oherwydd felly y rhyngodd dy fodd di.
21In that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.”
22 Traddodwyd i mi bob peth gan fy Nhad. Ni u373?yr neb pwy yw'r Mab ond y Tad, na phwy yw'r Tad ond y Mab a'r rhai hynny y mae'r Mab yn dewis ei ddatguddio iddynt."
22Turning to the disciples, he said, “All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son, and he to whomever the Son desires to reveal him.”
23 Yna troes at ei ddisgyblion ac meddai wrthynt o'r neilltu, "Gwyn eu byd y llygaid sy'n gweld y pethau yr ydych chwi yn eu gweld.
23Turning to the disciples, he said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things that you see,
24 Oherwydd rwy'n dweud wrthych fod llawer o broffwydi a brenhinoedd wedi dymuno gweld y pethau yr ydych chwi yn eu gweld, ac nis gwelsant, a chlywed y pethau yr ydych chwi yn eu clywed, ac nis clywsant."
24 for I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them, and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them.”
25 Dyma un o athrawon y Gyfraith yn codi i roi prawf arno, gan ddweud, "Athro, beth a wnaf i etifeddu bywyd tragwyddol?"
25Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 Meddai ef wrtho, "Beth sy'n ysgrifenedig yn y Gyfraith? Beth a ddarlleni di yno?"
26He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read it?”
27 Atebodd yntau, "'Cr yr Arglwydd dy Dduw 'th holl galon ac 'th holl enaid ac 'th holl nerth ac 'th holl feddwl, a chr dy gymydog fel ti dy hun.'"
27He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; Deuteronomy 6:5 and your neighbor as yourself.” Leviticus 19:18
28 Meddai ef wrtho, "Atebaist yn gywir; gwna hynny, a byw fyddi."
28He said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live.”
29 Ond yr oedd ef am ei gyfiawnhau ei hun, ac meddai wrth Iesu, "A phwy yw fy nghymydog?"
29But he, desiring to justify himself, asked Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?”
30 Atebodd Iesu, "Yr oedd rhyw ddyn yn mynd i lawr o Jerwsalem i Jericho, a syrthiodd i blith lladron. Wedi tynnu ei ddillad oddi amdano a'i guro, aethant ymaith, a'i adael yn hanner-marw.
30Jesus answered, “A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31 Fel y digwyddodd, yr oedd offeiriad yn mynd i lawr ar hyd y ffordd honno; pan welodd ef, aeth heibio o'r ochr arall.
31 By chance a certain priest was going down that way. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32 Yr un modd daeth Lefiad hefyd at y man; gwelodd ef, ac aeth heibio o'r ochr arall.
32 In the same way a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side.
33 Ond daeth teithiwr o Samariad ato; pan welodd hwn ef, tosturiodd wrtho.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled, came where he was. When he saw him, he was moved with compassion,
34 Aeth ato a rhwymo ei glwyfau, gan arllwys olew a gwin arnynt; gosododd ef ar ei anifail ei hun, a'i arwain i lety, a gofalu amdano.
34 came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He set him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35 Trannoeth tynnodd ddau ddarn arian allan a'u rhoi i'r gwesteiwr, gan ddweud, 'Gofala amdano. Os byddi wedi gwario rhywbeth dros ben, fe dalaf fi yn l iti pan ddychwelaf.'
35 On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave them to the host, and said to him, ‘Take care of him. Whatever you spend beyond that, I will repay you when I return.’
36 Prun o'r tri hyn, dybi di, fu'n gymydog i'r dyn a syrthiodd i blith lladron?"
36 Now which of these three do you think seemed to be a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?”
37 Meddai ef, "Yr un a gymerodd drugaredd arno." Ac meddai Iesu wrtho, "Dos, a gwna dithau yr un modd."
37He said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
38 Pan oeddent ar daith, aeth Iesu i mewn i bentref, a chroesawyd ef i'w chartref gan wraig o'r enw Martha.
38It happened as they went on their way, he entered into a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 Yr oedd ganddi hi chwaer a elwid Mair; eisteddodd hi wrth draed yr Arglwydd a gwrando ar ei air.
39She had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.
40 Ond yr oedd Martha mewn dryswch oherwydd yr holl waith gweini, a daeth ato a dweud, "Arglwydd, a wyt ti heb hidio dim fod fy chwaer wedi fy ngadael i weini ar fy mhen fy hun? Dywed wrthi, felly, am fy nghynorthwyo."
40But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she came up to him, and said, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister left me to serve alone? Ask her therefore to help me.”
41 Atebodd yr Arglwydd hi, "Martha, Martha, yr wyt yn pryderu ac yn trafferthu am lawer o bethau,
41Jesus answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,
42 ond un peth sy'n angenrheidiol. Y mae Mair wedi dewis y rhan orau, ac nis dygir oddi arni."
42 but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
