Luke

9

1 Galwodd Iesu y Deuddeg ynghyd a rhoddodd iddynt nerth ac awdurdod i fwrw allan gythreuliaid o bob math ac i wella clefydau.
1He called the twelve together, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.
2 Yna anfonodd hwy allan i gyhoeddi teyrnas Dduw ac i iachu'r cleifion.
2He sent them forth to preach the Kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
3 Meddai wrthynt, "Peidiwch chymryd dim ar gyfer y daith, na ffon na chod na bara nac arian, na bod dau grys yr un.
3He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey—neither staffs, nor wallet, nor bread, nor money; neither have two coats apiece.
4 I ba du375? bynnag yr ewch, arhoswch yno nes y byddwch yn ymadael 'r ardal;
4 Into whatever house you enter, stay there, and depart from there.
5 a phwy bynnag fydd yn gwrthod eich derbyn, ewch allan o'r dref honno ac ysgwyd ymaith y llwch oddi ar eich traed, yn rhybudd iddynt."
5 As many as don’t receive you, when you depart from that city, shake off even the dust from your feet for a testimony against them.”
6 Aethant allan a theithio o bentref i bentref, gan gyhoeddi'r newydd da ac iachu ym mhob man.
6They departed, and went throughout the villages, preaching the Good News, and healing everywhere.
7 Clywodd y Tywysog Herod am yr holl bethau oedd yn digwydd. Yr oedd mewn cyfyng-gyngor am fod rhai yn dweud fod Ioan wedi ei godi oddi wrth y meirw,
7Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him; and he was very perplexed, because it was said by some that John had risen from the dead,
8 ac eraill fod Elias wedi ymddangos, ac eraill wedyn fod un o'r hen broffwydi wedi atgyfodi.
8and by some that Elijah had appeared, and by others that one of the old prophets had risen again.
9 Ond meddai Herod, "Fe dorrais i ben Ioan; ond pwy yw hwn yr wyf yn clywed y fath bethau amdano?" Ac yr oedd yn ceisio cael ei weld ef.
9Herod said, “John I beheaded, but who is this, about whom I hear such things?” He sought to see him.
10 Dychwelodd yr apostolion a dywedasant wrth Iesu yr holl bethau yr oeddent wedi eu gwneud. Cymerodd hwy gydag ef ac encilio o'r neilltu i dref a elwir Bethsaida.
10The apostles, when they had returned, told him what things they had done. He took them, and withdrew apart to a deserted place of a city called Bethsaida.
11 Ond pan glywodd y tyrfaoedd hyn aethant ar ei l. Croesawodd ef hwy, a dechrau llefaru wrthynt am deyrnas Dduw ac iachu'r rhai ag angen gwellhad arnynt.
11But the multitudes, perceiving it, followed him. He welcomed them, and spoke to them of the Kingdom of God, and he cured those who needed healing.
12 Yn awr yr oedd y dydd yn dechrau dirwyn i ben, a daeth y Deuddeg ato a dweud, "Gollwng y dyrfa, iddynt fynd i'r pentrefi a'r wlad o amgylch a chael llety a bwyd, oherwydd yr ydym mewn lle unig yma."
12The day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said to him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms, and lodge, and get food, for we are here in a deserted place.”
13 Meddai ef wrthynt, "Rhowch chwi rywbeth i'w fwyta iddynt." Meddent hwy, "Nid oes gennym ddim ond pum torth a dau bysgodyn, heb inni fynd a phrynu bwyd i'r holl bobl hyn."
13But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we should go and buy food for all these people.”
14 Yr oeddent ynghylch pum mil o wu375?r. Ac meddai ef wrth ei ddisgyblion, "Parwch iddynt eistedd yn gwmnoedd o ryw hanner cant yr un."
14For they were about five thousand men. He said to his disciples, “Make them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”
15 Gwnaethant felly, a pheri i bawb eistedd.
15They did so, and made them all sit down.
16 Cymerodd yntau y pum torth a'r ddau bysgodyn, a chan edrych i fyny i'r nef fe'u bendithiodd, a'u torri, a'u rhoi i'w ddisgyblion i'w gosod gerbron y dyrfa.
16He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to the sky, he blessed them, and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude.
17 Bwytasant a chafodd pawb ddigon. A chodwyd deuddeg basgedaid o dameidiau o'r hyn oedd dros ben ganddynt.
17They ate, and were all filled. They gathered up twelve baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
18 Pan oedd Iesu'n gweddo o'r neilltu yng nghwmni'r disgyblion, gofynnodd iddynt, "Pwy y mae'r tyrfaoedd yn dweud ydwyf fi?"
18It happened, as he was praying alone, that the disciples were with him, and he asked them, “Who do the multitudes say that I am?”
19 Atebasant hwythau, "Mae rhai'n dweud Ioan Fedyddiwr, ac eraill Elias, ac eraill drachefn fod un o'r hen broffwydi wedi atgyfodi."
19They answered, “‘John the Baptizer,’ but others say, ‘Elijah,’ and others, that one of the old prophets is risen again.”
20 "A chwithau," gofynnodd iddynt, "pwy meddwch chwi ydwyf fi?" Atebodd Pedr, "Meseia Duw."
20He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “The Christ of God.”
21 Rhybuddiodd ef hwy, a'u gwahardd rhag dweud hyn wrth neb.
21But he warned them, and commanded them to tell this to no one,
22 "Y mae'n rhaid i Fab y Dyn," meddai, "ddioddef llawer a chael ei wrthod gan yr henuriaid a'r prif offeiriaid a'r ysgrifenyddion, a'i ladd, a'r trydydd dydd ei gyfodi."
22saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.”
23 A dywedodd wrth bawb, "Os myn neb ddod ar fy l i, rhaid iddo ymwadu ag ef ei hun a chodi ei groes bob dydd a'm canlyn i.
23He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.
24 Oherwydd pwy bynnag a fyn gadw ei fywyd, fe'i cyll, ond pwy bynnag a gyll ei fywyd er fy mwyn i, fe'i ceidw.
24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it.
25 Pa elw a gaiff rhywun o ennill yr holl fyd a'i ddifetha neu ei fforffedu ei hun?
25 For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits his own self?
26 Oherwydd pwy bynnag y bydd arnynt gywilydd ohonof fi ac o'm geiriau, bydd ar Fab y Dyn gywilydd ohonynt hwythau, pan ddaw yn ei ogoniant ef a'i Dad a'r angylion sanctaidd.
26 For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed, when he comes in his glory, and the glory of the Father, and of the holy angels.
27 Yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthych, y mae rhai o'r sawl sy'n sefyll yma na phrofant flas marwolaeth nes iddynt weld teyrnas Dduw."
27 But I tell you the truth: There are some of those who stand here, who will in no way taste of death, until they see the Kingdom of God.”
28 Ynghylch wyth diwrnod wedi iddo ddweud hyn, cymerodd Pedr ac Ioan ac Iago gydag ef a mynd i fyny'r mynydd i weddo.
28It happened about eight days after these sayings, that he took with him Peter, John, and James, and went up onto the mountain to pray.
29 Tra oedd ef yn gweddo, newidiodd gwedd ei wyneb a disgleiriodd ei wisg yn llachar wyn.
29As he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became white and dazzling.
30 A dyma ddau ddyn yn ymddiddan ag ef; Moses ac Elias oeddent,
30Behold, two men were talking with him, who were Moses and Elijah,
31 wedi ymddangos mewn gogoniant ac yn siarad am ei ymadawiad, y weithred yr oedd i'w chyflawni yn Jerwsalem.
31who appeared in glory, and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.
32 Yr oedd Pedr a'r rhai oedd gydag ef wedi eu llethu gan gwsg; ond deffroesant a gweld ei ogoniant ef, a'r ddau ddyn oedd yn sefyll gydag ef.
32Now Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep, but when they were fully awake, they saw his glory, and the two men who stood with him.
33 Wrth i'r rheini ymadael Iesu, dywedodd Pedr wrtho, "Meistr, y mae'n dda ein bod ni yma; gwnawn dair pabell, un i ti ac un i Moses ac un i Elias." Ni wyddai beth yr oedd yn ei ddweud.
33It happened, as they were parting from him, that Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah,” not knowing what he said.
34 Tra oedd yn dweud hyn, daeth cwmwl a chysgodi drostynt, a chydiodd ofn ynddynt wrth iddynt fynd i mewn i'r cwmwl.
34While he said these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered into the cloud.
35 Yna daeth llais o'r cwmwl yn dweud, "Hwn yw fy Mab, yr Etholedig; gwrandewch arno."
35A voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him!”
36 Ac wedi i'r llais lefaru cafwyd Iesu wrtho'i hun. A bu'r disgyblion yn ddistaw, heb ddweud wrth neb y pryd hwnnw am yr hyn yr oeddent wedi ei weld.
36When the voice came, Jesus was found alone. They were silent, and told no one in those days any of the things which they had seen.
37 Trannoeth, wedi iddynt ddod i lawr o'r mynydd, daeth tyrfa fawr i'w gyfarfod.
37It happened on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, that a great multitude met him.
38 A dyma ddyn yn gweiddi o'r dyrfa, "Athro, rwy'n erfyn arnat edrych ar fy mab, gan mai ef yw fy unig fab.
38Behold, a man from the crowd called out, saying, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child.
39 Y mae ysbryd yn gafael ynddo ac bloedd sydyn yn ei gynhyrfu nes ei fod yn malu ewyn; ac y mae'n dal i'w ddirdynnu yn ddiollwng bron.
39Behold, a spirit takes him, he suddenly cries out, and it convulses him so that he foams, and it hardly departs from him, bruising him severely.
40 Erfyniais ar dy ddisgyblion ei fwrw allan, ac ni allasant."
40I begged your disciples to cast it out, and they couldn’t.”
41 Atebodd Iesu, "O genhedlaeth ddi-ffydd a gwyrgam, pa hyd y byddaf gyda chwi ac yn eich goddef? Tyrd 'th fab yma."
41Jesus answered, “Faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.”
42 Wrth iddo ddod ymlaen bwriodd y cythraul ef ar lawr a'i gynhyrfu; ond ceryddodd Iesu yr ysbryd aflan, ac iachu'r plentyn a'i roi yn l i'w dad.
42While he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him violently. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.
43 Ac yr oedd pawb yn rhyfeddu at fawredd Duw. A thra oedd pawb yn synnu at ei holl weithredoedd, meddai ef wrth ei ddisgyblion,
43They were all astonished at the majesty of God. But while all were marveling at all the things which Jesus did, he said to his disciples,
44 "Clywch, a chofiwch chwi y geiriau hyn: y mae Mab y Dyn i'w draddodi i ddwylo pobl."
44 “Let these words sink into your ears, for the Son of Man will be delivered up into the hands of men.”
45 Ond nid oeddent yn deall yr ymadrodd hwn; yr oedd ei ystyr wedi ei guddio oddi wrthynt, fel nad oeddent yn ei ganfod, ac yr oedd arnynt ofn ei holi ynglu375?n 'r ymadrodd hwn.
45But they didn’t understand this saying. It was concealed from them, that they should not perceive it, and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.
46 Cododd trafodaeth yn eu plith, prun ohonynt oedd y mwyaf.
46There arose an argument among them about which of them was the greatest.
47 Ond gwyddai Iesu am feddyliau eu calonnau. Cymerodd blentyn, a'i osod wrth ei ochr,
47Jesus, perceiving the reasoning of their hearts, took a little child, and set him by his side,
48 ac meddai wrthynt, "Pwy bynnag sy'n derbyn y plentyn hwn yn fy enw i, y mae'n fy nerbyn i; a phwy bynnag sy'n fy nerbyn i, y mae'n derbyn yr hwn a'm hanfonodd i. Oherwydd y lleiaf yn eich plith chwi oll, hwnnw sydd fawr."
48and said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me. Whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For whoever is least among you all, this one will be great.”
49 Atebodd Ioan, "Meistr, gwelsom un yn bwrw allan gythreuliaid yn dy enw di, a buom yn ei wahardd am nad yw'n dy ddilyn gyda ni."
49John answered, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow with us.”
50 Ond meddai Iesu wrtho, "Peidiwch gwahardd, oherwydd y sawl nad yw yn eich erbyn, drosoch chwi y mae."
50Jesus said to him, “Don’t forbid him, for he who is not against us is for us.”
51 Pan oedd y dyddiau cyn ei gymryd i fyny yn dirwyn i ben, troes ef ei wyneb i fynd i Jerwsalem,
51It came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Jerusalem,
52 ac anfonodd allan negesyddion o'i flaen. Cychwynasant, a mynd i mewn i bentref yn Samaria i baratoi ar ei gyfer.
52and sent messengers before his face. They went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, so as to prepare for him.
53 Ond gwrthododd y bobl ei dderbyn am ei fod ar ei ffordd i Jerwsalem.
53They didn’t receive him, because he was traveling with his face set towards Jerusalem.
54 Pan welodd ei ddis-gyblion, Iago ac Ioan, hyn, meddent, "Arglwydd, a fynni di inni alw tn i lawr o'r nef a'u dinistrio?"
54When his disciples, James and John, saw this, they said, “Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky, and destroy them, just as Elijah did?”
55 Ond troes ef a'u ceryddu.
55But he turned and rebuked them, “You don’t know of what kind of spirit you are.
56 Ac aethant i bentref arall.
56 For the Son of Man didn’t come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.” They went to another village.
57 Pan oeddent ar y ffordd yn teithio, meddai rhywun wrtho, "Canlynaf di lle bynnag yr ei."
57As they went on the way, a certain man said to him, “I want to follow you wherever you go, Lord.”
58 Meddai Iesu wrtho, "Y mae gan y llwynogod ffeuau, a chan adar yr awyr nythod, ond gan Fab y Dyn nid oes lle i roi ei ben i lawr."
58Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
59 Ac meddai wrth un arall, "Canlyn fi." Meddai yntau, "Arglwydd, caniat imi yn gyntaf fynd a chladdu fy nhad."
59He said to another, “Follow me!” But he said, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”
60 Ond meddai ef wrtho, "Gad i'r meirw gladdu eu meirw eu hunain; dos di a chyhoedda deyrnas Dduw."
60But Jesus said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead, but you go and announce the Kingdom of God.”
61 Ac meddai un arall, "Canlynaf di, Arglwydd; ond yn gyntaf caniat imi ffarwelio 'm teulu."
61Another also said, “I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to say good-bye to those who are at my house.”
62 Ond meddai Iesu wrtho, "Nid yw'r sawl a osododd ei law ar yr aradr, ac sy'n edrych yn l, yn addas i deyrnas Dduw."
62But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.”
