1 Wedi hynny bu ef yn teithio trwy dref a phentref gan bregethu a chyhoeddi'r newydd da am deyrnas Dduw. Yr oedd y Deuddeg gydag ef,
1It happened soon afterwards, that he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of the Kingdom of God. With him were the twelve,
2 ynghyd  rhai gwragedd oedd wedi eu hiachu oddi wrth ysbrydion drwg ac afiechydon: Mair a elwid Magdalen, yr un yr oedd saith gythraul wedi dod allan ohoni;
2and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;
3 Joanna gwraig Chwsa, goruchwyliwr Herod; Swsanna, a llawer eraill; yr oedd y rhain yn gweini arnynt o'u hadnoddau eu hunain.
3and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others; who served them TR reads “him” instead of “them” from their possessions.
4 Yr oedd tyrfa fawr yn ymgynnull, a phobl o bob tref yn dod ato. Dywedodd ef ar ddameg:
4When a great multitude came together, and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable.
5 "Aeth heuwr allan i hau ei had. Wrth iddo hau, syrthiodd peth had ar hyd y llwybr; sathrwyd arno, a bwytaodd adar yr awyr ef.
5 “The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.
6 Syrthiodd peth arall ar y graig; tyfodd, ond gwywodd am nad oedd iddo wlybaniaeth.
6 Other seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
7 Syrthiodd peth arall i ganol y drain; tyfodd y drain gydag ef a'i dagu.
7 Other fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it, and choked it.
8 A syrthiodd peth arall ar dir da; tyfodd, a chnydiodd hyd ganwaith cymaint." Wrth ddweud hyn fe waeddodd, "Y sawl sydd chlustiau ganddo i wrando, gwrandawed."
8 Other fell into the good ground, and grew, and brought forth fruit one hundred times.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
9 Gofynnodd ei ddisgyblion iddo beth oedd ystyr y ddameg hon.
9Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”
10 Meddai ef, "I chwi y mae gwybod cyfrinachau teyrnas Dduw wedi ei roi, ond i bawb arall y maent ar ddamhegion, fel 'er edrych, na welant, ac er clywed, na ddeallant'.
10He said, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, but to the rest in parables; that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’ Isaiah 6:9
11 "Dyma ystyr y ddameg. Yr had yw gair Duw.
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Y rhai ar hyd y llwybr yw'r sawl sy'n clywed, ac yna daw'r diafol a chipio'r gair o'u calonnau, rhag iddynt gredu a chael eu hachub.
12 Those along the road are those who hear, then the devil comes, and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.
13 Y rhai ar y graig yw'r sawl sydd, pan glywant, yn croesawu'r gair yn llawen. Ond gan y rhain nid oes gwreiddyn; dros dro y credant, ac mewn awr o brawf fe wrthgiliant.
13 Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root, who believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.
14 Yr hyn a syrthiodd ymhlith y drain, dyma'r sawl sy'n clywed, ond wrth iddynt fynd ar eu hynt cnt eu tagu gan ofalon a golud a phleserau bywyd, ac ni ddygant eu ffrwyth i aeddfedrwydd.
14 That which fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.
15 Ond hwnnw yn y tir da, dyna'r sawl sy'n clywed y gair chalon dda rinweddol, yn dal eu gafael ynddo ac yn dwyn ffrwyth trwy ddyfalbarhad.
15 That in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and bring forth fruit with patience.
16 "Ni bydd neb yn cynnau cannwyll ac yn ei chuddio llestr neu'n ei dodi dan y gwely. Nage, ar ganhwyllbren y dodir hi, er mwyn i'r rhai sy'n dod i mewn weld ei goleuni.
16 “No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container, or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.
17 Oherwydd nid oes dim yn guddiedig na ddaw'n amlwg, na dim dan gl na cheir ei wybod ac na ddaw i'r amlwg.
17 For nothing is hidden, that will not be revealed; nor anything secret, that will not be known and come to light.
18 Ystyriwch gan hynny sut yr ydych yn gwrando, oherwydd i'r sawl y mae ganddo y rhoir, ac oddi ar y sawl nad oes ganddo y cymerir hyd yn oed hynny y mae ef yn tybio ei fod ganddo."
18 Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”
19 Daeth ei fam a'i frodyr i edrych amdano, ond ni allent gyrraedd ato o achos y dyrfa.
19His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.
20 Hysbyswyd ef, "Y mae dy fam a'th frodyr yn sefyll y tu allan ac yn dymuno dy weld."
20It was told him by some saying, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.”
21 Atebodd yntau hwy, "Fy mam a'm brodyr i yw'r rhain sy'n gwrando ar air Duw ac yn ei weithredu."
21But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God, and do it.”
22 Un diwrnod, aeth ef i mewn i gwch, a'i ddisgyblion hefyd, ac meddai wrthynt, "Awn drosodd i ochr draw'r llyn," a hwyliasant ymaith.
22Now it happened on one of those days, that he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.
23 Tra oeddent ar y du373?r, aeth Iesu i gysgu. A disgynnodd tymestl o wynt ar y llyn; yr oedd y cwch yn llenwi, a hwythau mewn perygl.
23But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.
24 Aethant ato a'i ddeffro, a dweud, "Meistr, meistr, mae hi ar ben arnom!" Deffrdd ef, a cheryddodd y gwynt a'r dyfroedd tymhestlog; darfu'r dymestl a bu tawelwch.
24They came to him, and awoke him, saying, “Master, master, we are dying!” He awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and it was calm. See Psalm 107:29
25 Yna meddai ef wrthynt, "Ble mae eich ffydd?" Daeth ofn a syndod arnynt, ac meddent wrth ei gilydd, "Pwy ynteu yw hwn? Y mae'n gorchymyn hyd yn oed y gwyntoedd a'r dyfroedd, a hwythau'n ufuddhau iddo."
25He said to them, “Where is your faith?” Being afraid they marveled, saying one to another, “Who is this, then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”
26 Daethant i'r lan i wlad y Geraseniaid, sydd gyferbyn Galilea.
26They arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.
27 Pan laniodd ef, daeth i'w gyfarfod ddyn o'r dref chythreuliaid ynddo. Ers amser maith nid oedd wedi gwisgo dilledyn, ac nid mewn tu375? yr oedd yn byw ond ymhlith y beddau.
27When Jesus stepped ashore, a certain man out of the city who had demons for a long time met him. He wore no clothes, and didn’t live in a house, but in the tombs.
28 Pan welodd ef Iesu, rhoes floedd a syrthio o'i flaen, gan weiddi llais uchel, "Beth sydd a fynni di mi, Iesu Fab y Duw Goruchaf? Yr wyf yn erfyn arnat, paid 'm poenydio."
28When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”
29 Oherwydd yr oedd ef wedi gorchymyn i'r ysbryd aflan fynd allan o'r dyn. Aml i dro yr oedd yr ysbryd wedi cydio ynddo, ac er ei rwymo chadwynau a llyffetheiriau a'i warchod, byddai'n dryllio'r rhwymau, a'r cythraul yn ei yrru i'r unigeddau.
29For Jesus was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard, and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bands apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.
30 Yna gofynnodd Iesu iddo, "Beth yw dy enw?" "Lleng," meddai yntau, oherwydd yr oedd llawer o gythreuliaid wedi mynd i mewn iddo.
30Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered into him.
31 Dechreusant ymbil ar Iesu i beidio gorchymyn iddynt fynd ymaith i'r dyfnder.
31They begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss.
32 Yr oedd yno genfaint fawr o foch yn pori ar y mynydd. Ymbiliodd y cythreuliaid arno i ganiatu iddynt fynd i mewn i'r moch; ac fe ganiataodd iddynt.
32Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. He allowed them.
33 Aeth y cythreuliaid allan o'r dyn ac i mewn i'r moch, a rhuthrodd y genfaint dros y dibyn i'r llyn a boddi.
33The demons came out from the man, and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake, and were drowned.
34 Pan welodd bugeiliaid y moch beth oedd wedi digwydd fe ffoesant, gan adrodd yr hanes yn y dref ac yn y wlad.
34When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled, and told it in the city and in the country.
35 Daeth pobl allan i weld beth oedd wedi digwydd. Daethant at Iesu, a chael y dyn yr oedd y cythreuliaid wedi mynd allan ohono yn eistedd wrth draed Iesu, 'i ddillad amdano ac yn ei iawn bwyll; a daeth arnynt ofn.
35People went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
36 Adroddwyd yr hanes wrthynt gan y rhai oedd wedi gweld sut yr iachawyd y dyn oedd wedi bod ym meddiant cythreuliaid.
36Those who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.
37 Yna gofynnodd holl boblogaeth gwlad y Geraseniaid iddo fynd ymaith oddi wrthynt, am fod ofn mawr wedi cydio ynddynt; ac aeth ef i mewn i'r cwch i ddychwelyd.
37All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. He entered into the boat, and returned.
38 Yr oedd y dyn yr oedd y cythreuliaid wedi mynd allan ohono yn erfyn am gael bod gydag ef; ond anfonodd Iesu ef yn ei l, gan ddweud,
38But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 "Dychwel adref, ac adrodd gymaint y mae Duw wedi ei wneud drosot." Ac aeth ef ymaith trwy'r holl dref gan gyhoeddi gymaint yr oedd Iesu wedi ei wneud drosto.
39 “Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.
40 Pan ddychwelodd Iesu croesawyd ef gan y dyrfa, oherwydd yr oedd pawb yn disgwyl amdano.
40It happened, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
41 A dyma ddyn o'r enw Jairus yn dod, ac yr oedd ef yn arweinydd yn y synagog; syrthiodd hwn wrth draed Iesu ac ymbil arno i ddod i'w gartref,
41Behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet, and begged him to come into his house,
42 am fod ganddo unig ferch, ynghylch deuddeng mlwydd oed, a'i bod hi'n marw. Tra oedd ef ar ei ffordd yr oedd y tyrfaoedd yn gwasgu arno.
42for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the multitudes pressed against him.
43 Yr oedd yno wraig ac arni waedlif ers deuddeng mlynedd. Er iddi wario ar feddygon y cwbl oedd ganddi i fyw arno, nid oedd wedi llwyddo i gael gwellhad gan neb.
43A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her living on physicians, and could not be healed by any,
44 Daeth hon ato o'r tu l a chyffwrdd ag ymyl ei fantell; ar unwaith peidiodd llif ei gwaed hi.
44came behind him, and touched the fringe or, tassel of his cloak, and immediately the flow of her blood stopped.
45 Ac meddai Iesu, "Pwy gyffyrddodd mi?" Gwadodd pawb, ac meddai Pedr, "Meistr, y tyrfaoedd sy'n pwyso ac yn gwasgu arnat."
45Jesus said, “Who touched me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes press and jostle you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’ ”
46 Ond meddai Iesu, "Fe gyffyrddodd rhywun mi, oherwydd fe synhwyrais i fod nerth wedi mynd allan ohonof."
46But Jesus said, “Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me.”
47 Pan ganfu'r wraig nad oedd hi ddim wedi osgoi sylw, daeth ymlaen dan grynu; syrthiodd wrth ei draed a mynegi gerbron yr holl bobl pam yr oedd hi wedi cyffwrdd ag ef, a sut yr oedd wedi gwella ar unwaith.
47When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
48 Ac meddai ef wrthi, "Fy merch, dy ffydd sydd wedi dy iachu di; dos mewn tangnefedd."
48He said to her, “Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
49 Tra oedd ef yn llefaru, daeth rhywun o du375? arweinydd y synagog a dweud, "Y mae dy ferch wedi marw; paid phoeni'r Athro bellach."
49While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house came, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the Teacher.”
50 Ond clywodd Iesu, ac meddai wrtho, "Paid ag ofni; dim ond credu, ac fe'i hachubir."
50But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”
51 Pan gyrhaeddodd y tu375?, ni adawodd i neb fynd i mewn gydag ef ond Pedr ac Ioan ac Iago, ynghyd thad y ferch a'i mam.
51When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.
52 Yr oedd pawb yn wylo ac yn galaru drosti. Ond meddai ef, "Peidiwch ag wylo; nid yw hi wedi marw, cysgu y mae."
52All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, “Don’t weep. She isn’t dead, but sleeping.”
53 Dechreusant chwerthin am ei ben, am eu bod yn sicr ei bod wedi marw.
53They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.
54 Gafaelodd ef yn ei llaw a dweud yn uchel, "Fy ngeneth, cod."
54But he put them all outside, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, “Child, arise!”
55 Yna dychwelodd ei hysbryd, a chododd ar unwaith. Gorchmynnodd ef roi iddi rywbeth i'w fwyta.
55Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.
56 Syfrdanwyd ei rhieni, ond rhybuddiodd ef hwy i beidio sn gair wrth neb am yr hyn oedd wedi digwydd.
56Her parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.
