Matthew

15

1 Yna daeth Phariseaid ac ysgrifenyddion o Jerwsalem at Iesu a dweud,
1Then Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem, saying,
2 "Pam y mae dy ddisgyblion di yn troseddu yn erbyn traddodiad yr hynafiaid? Oherwydd nid ydynt yn golchi eu dwylo pan fyddant yn bwyta'u bwyd."
2“Why do your disciples disobey the tradition of the elders? For they don’t wash their hands when they eat bread.”
3 Atebodd yntau hwy, "A pham yr ydych chwithau yn troseddu yn erbyn gorchymyn Duw er mwyn eich traddodiad?
3He answered them, “Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?
4 Oherwydd dywedodd Duw, 'Anrhydedda dy dad a'th fam', a 'Bydded farw'n gelain y sawl a felltithia ei dad neu ei fam.'
4 For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.’
5 Ond yr ydych chwi'n dweud, 'Os dywed rhywun wrth ei dad neu ei fam, "Offrwm i Dduw yw beth bynnag y gallasit ei dderbyn yn gymorth gennyf fi", ni chaiff anrhydeddu ei dad.'
5 But you say, ‘Whoever may tell his father or his mother, “Whatever help you might otherwise have gotten from me is a gift devoted to God,”
6 Ac yr ydych wedi dirymu gair Duw er mwyn eich traddodiad chwi.
6 he shall not honor his father or mother.’ You have made the commandment of God void because of your tradition.
7 Ragrithwyr, da y proffwydodd Eseia amdanoch:
7 You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
8 'Y mae'r bobl hyn yn fy anrhydeddu 'u gwefusau, ond y mae eu calon ymhell oddi wrthyf;
8 ‘These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 yn ofer y maent yn fy addoli, gan ddysgu gorchmynion dynol fel athrawiaethau.'"
9 And in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrine rules made by men.’”
10 Galwodd y dyrfa ato a dywedodd wrthynt, "Gwrandewch a deallwch.
10He summoned the multitude, and said to them, “Hear, and understand.
11 Nid yr hyn sy'n mynd i mewn i enau rhywun sy'n ei halogi, ond yr hyn sy'n dod allan o'i enau, dyna sy'n halogi rhywun."
11 That which enters into the mouth doesn’t defile the man; but that which proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man.”
12 Yna daeth ei ddisgyblion a dweud wrtho, "A wyddost fod y Phariseaid wedi eu tramgwyddo wrth glywed dy eiriau?"
12Then the disciples came, and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?”
13 Atebodd yntau, "Pob planhigyn na phlannodd fy Nhad nefol, fe'i diwreiddir.
13But he answered, “Every plant which my heavenly Father didn’t plant will be uprooted.
14 Gadewch iddynt; arweinwyr dall i ddeillion ydynt. Os bydd rhywun dall yn arwain rhywun dall, bydd y ddau yn syrthio i bydew."
14 Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
15 Dywedodd Pedr wrtho, "Eglura'r ddameg hon inni."
15Peter answered him, “Explain the parable to us.”
16 Meddai Iesu, "A ydych chwithau'n dal mor ddi-ddeall?
16So Jesus said, “Do you also still not understand?
17 Oni welwch fod popeth sy'n mynd i mewn i'r genau yn mynd i'r cylla ac yn cael ei yrru allan i'r geudy?
17 Don’t you understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly, and then out of the body?
18 Ond y mae'r pethau sy'n dod allan o'r genau yn dod o'r galon, a dyna'r pethau sy'n halogi rhywun.
18 But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the man.
19 Oherwydd o'r galon y daw cynllunio drygionus, llofruddio, godinebu, puteinio, lladrata, camdystiolaethu, a chablu.
19 For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies.
20 Dyma'r pethau sy'n halogi rhywun; ond bwyta dwylo heb eu golchi, nid yw hynny'n halogi neb."
20 These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands doesn’t defile the man.”
21 Aeth Iesu allan oddi yno ac ymadawodd i barthau Tyrus a Sidon.
21Jesus went out from there, and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22 A dyma wraig oedd yn Ganaanes o'r cyffiniau hynny yn dod ymlaen a gweiddi, "Syr, trugarha wrthyf, Fab Dafydd; y mae fy merch wedi ei meddiannu gan gythraul ac yn dioddef yn enbyd."
22Behold, a Canaanite woman came out from those borders, and cried, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, you son of David! My daughter is severely demonized!”
23 Ond nid atebodd ef un gair iddi. A daeth ei ddisgyblion ato a gofyn iddo, "Gyr hi i ffwrdd, oherwydd y mae'n gweiddi ar ein hl."
23But he answered her not a word. His disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away; for she cries after us.”
24 Atebodd yntau, "Ni'm hanfonwyd at neb ond at ddefaid colledig tu375? Israel."
24But he answered, “I wasn’t sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
25 Ond daeth hithau ac ymgrymu iddo gan ddweud, "Syr, helpa fi."
25But she came and worshiped him, saying, “Lord, help me.”
26 Atebodd Iesu, "Nid yw'n deg cymryd bara'r plant a'i daflu i'r cu373?n."
26But he answered, “It is not appropriate to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”
27 Dywedodd hithau, "Gwir, syr, ond y mae hyd yn oed y cu373?n yn bwyta o'r briwsion sy'n syrthio oddi ar fwrdd eu meistri."
27But she said, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”
28 Yna atebodd Iesu hi, "Wraig, mawr yw dy ffydd; boed iti fel y mynni." Ac fe iachawyd ei merch o'r munud hwnnw.
28Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, great is your faith! Be it done to you even as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.
29 Symudodd Iesu oddi yno ac aeth gerllaw Mr Galilea, ac i fyny'r mynydd. Eisteddodd yno,
29Jesus departed there, and came near to the sea of Galilee; and he went up into the mountain, and sat there.
30 a daeth tyrfaoedd mawr ato yn dwyn gyda hwy y cloff a'r dall, yr anafus a'r mud, a llawer eraill; gosodasant hwy wrth ei draed, ac iachaodd ef hwy,
30Great multitudes came to him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others, and they put them down at his feet. He healed them,
31 er syndod i'r dyrfa wrth weld y mud yn llefaru, yr anafus yn holliach, y cloff yn cerdded a'r dall yn gweld; a rhoesant ogoniant i Dduw Israel.
31so that the multitude wondered when they saw the mute speaking, injured whole, lame walking, and blind seeing—and they glorified the God of Israel.
32 Galwodd Iesu ei ddisgyblion ato, ac meddai, "Yr wyf yn tosturio wrth y dyrfa, oherwydd y maent wedi bod gyda mi dridiau erbyn hyn, ac nid oes ganddynt ddim i'w fwyta. Ac ni fynnaf eu hanfon ymaith ar eu cythlwng, rhag iddynt lewygu ar y ffordd."
32Jesus summoned his disciples and said, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away fasting, or they might faint on the way.”
33 Dywedodd y disgyblion wrtho, "O ble, mewn lle anial, y cawn ddigon o fara i fwydo tyrfa mor fawr?"
33The disciples said to him, “Where should we get so many loaves in a deserted place as to satisfy so great a multitude?”
34 Gofynnodd Iesu iddynt, "Pa sawl torth sydd gennych?" "Saith," meddent hwythau, "ac ychydig bysgod bychain."
34Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven, and a few small fish.”
35 Gorchmynnodd i'r dyrfa eistedd ar y ddaear.
35He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground;
36 Yna cymerodd y saith torth a'r pysgod, ac wedi diolch fe'u torrodd a'u rhoi i'r disgyblion, a'r disgyblion i'r tyrfaoedd.
36and he took the seven loaves and the fish. He gave thanks and broke them, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.
37 Bwytasant oll a chael digon, a chodasant lond saith cawell o'r tameidiau oedd dros ben.
37They all ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left over.
38 Yr oedd y rhai oedd yn bwyta yn bedair mil o wu375?r, heblaw gwragedd a phlant.
38Those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
39 Wedi gollwng y tyrfaoedd aeth Iesu i mewn i'r cwch a daeth i gyffiniau Magadan.
39Then he sent away the multitudes, got into the boat, and came into the borders of Magdala.
