1 "Y pryd hwnnw bydd teyrnas nefoedd yn debyg i ddeg o enethod a gymerodd eu lampau a mynd allan i gyfarfod 'r priodfab.
1 “Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to meet the bridegroom.
2 Yr oedd pump ohonynt yn ffl a phump yn gall.
2 Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
3 Cymerodd y rhai ffl eu lampau ond heb gymryd olew gyda hwy,
3 Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,
4 ond cymerodd y rhai call, gyda'u lampau, olew mewn llestri.
4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 Gan fod y priodfab yn hwyr yn dod aethant i gyd i hepian a chysgu.
5 Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
6 Ac ar ganol nos daeth gwaedd: 'Dyma'r priodfab, ewch allan i'w gyfarfod.'
6 But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’
7 Yna cododd y genethod hynny i gyd a pharatoi eu lampau.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. The end of the wick of an oil lamp needs to be cut off periodically to avoid having it become clogged with carbon deposits. The wick height is also adjusted so that the flame burns evenly and gives good light without producing a lot of smoke.
8 Dywedodd y rhai ffl wrth y rhai call, 'Rhowch i ni beth o'ch olew, oherwydd y mae'n lampau ni yn diffodd.'
8 The foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’
9 Atebodd y rhai call, 'Na yn wir, ni fydd digon i ni ac i chwithau. Gwell i chwi fynd at y gwerthwyr a phrynu peth i chwi eich hunain.'
9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’
10 A thra oeddent yn mynd i brynu'r olew, cyrhaeddodd y priodfab, ac aeth y rhai oedd yn barod i mewn gydag ef i'r wledd briodas, a chlowyd y drws.
10 While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut.
11 Yn ddiweddarach dyma'r genethod eraill yn dod ac yn dweud, 'Syr, syr, agor y drws i ni.'
11 Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’
12 Atebodd yntau, 'Yn wir, 'rwy'n dweud wrthych, nid wyf yn eich adnabod.'
12 But he answered, ‘Most certainly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
13 Byddwch wyliadwrus gan hynny, oherwydd ni wyddoch na'r dydd na'r awr.
13 Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
14 "Y mae fel dyn a oedd yn mynd oddi cartref ac a alwodd ei weision a rhoi ei eiddo yn eu gofal.
14 “For it is like a man, going into another country, who called his own servants, and entrusted his goods to them.
15 I un fe roddodd bum cod o arian, i un arall ddwy, i un arall un, i bob un yn l ei allu, ac fe aeth oddi cartref.
15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey.
16 Ar unwaith aeth yr un a dderbyniodd bum cod a masnachu hwy, ac fe enillodd atynt bump arall.
16 Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.
17 Felly hefyd enillodd yr un a gafodd ddwy god ddwy arall atynt.
17 In the same way, he also who got the two gained another two.
18 Ond y sawl a dderbyniodd un god, aeth ef ymaith a chloddio twll yn y ddaear a chuddio arian ei feistr.
18 But he who received the one went away and dug in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.
19 Ymhen cryn dipyn o amser daeth meistr y gweision hynny yn l ac fe adolygodd eu cyfrifon hwy.
19 “Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reconciled accounts with them.
20 Daeth yr un a dderbyniodd bum cod a chyflwyno iddo bump arall. 'Meistr,' meddai, 'rhoddaist bum cod o arian yn fy ngofal; dyma bum cod arall a enillais i atynt.'
20 He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents besides them.’
21 'Ardderchog, fy ngwas da a ffyddlon,' meddai ei feistr wrtho, 'buost yn ffyddlon wrth ofalu am ychydig, fe osodaf lawer yn dy ofal; tyrd i ymuno yn llawenydd dy feistr.'
21 “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
22 Yna daeth yr un 'r ddwy god, a dywedodd, 'Meistr, rhoddaist ddwy god o arian yn fy ngofal; dyma ddwy god arall a enillais i atynt.'
22 “He also who got the two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents besides them.’
23 Meddai ei feistr wrtho, 'Ardderchog, fy ngwas da a ffyddlon; buost yn ffyddlon wrth ofalu am ychydig, fe osodaf lawer yn dy ofal; tyrd i ymuno yn llawenydd dy feistr.'
23 “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
24 Yna daeth yr un oedd wedi derbyn un god, a dywedodd, 'Meistr, gwyddwn dy fod yn ddyn caled, yn medi lle heuodd eraill ac yn casglu lle gwasgarodd eraill.
24 “He also who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter.
25 Yn fy ofn euthum a chuddio dy god o arian yn y ddaear. Dyma i ti dy eiddo yn l.'
25 I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.’
26 Atebodd ei feistr ef, 'Y gwas drwg a diog, yr oeddit yn gwybod, meddi, fy mod yn medi lle heuodd eraill ac yn casglu lle gwasgarodd eraill.
26 “But his lord answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter.
27 Dylit felly fod wedi gosod fy arian yn y banc, a buasai fy eiddo wedi ennill llog erbyn i mi ddod i'w hawlio.
27 You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.
28 Felly cymerwch y god o arian oddi arno a rhowch hi i'r un a chanddo ddeg cod.
28 Take away therefore the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.
29 Oherwydd i bawb y mae ganddo y rhoddir, a bydd ar ben ei ddigon, ond oddi ar yr hwn nad oes ganddo fe gymerir hyd yn oed hynny sydd ganddo.
29 For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away.
30 A bwriwch y gwas diwerth i'r tywyllwch eithaf; bydd yno wylo a rhincian dannedd.'
30 Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
31 "Pan ddaw Mab y Dyn yn ei ogoniant, a'r holl angylion gydag ef, yna bydd yn eistedd ar orsedd ei ogoniant.
31 “But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.
32 Fe gesglir yr holl genhedloedd ger ei fron, a bydd ef yn eu didoli oddi wrth ei gilydd, fel y mae bugail yn didoli'r defaid oddi wrth y geifr,
32 Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33 ac fe esyd y defaid ar ei law dde a'r geifr ar y chwith.
33 He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Yna fe ddywed y Brenin wrth y rhai ar y dde iddo, 'Dewch, chwi sydd dan fendith fy Nhad, i etifeddu'r deyrnas a baratowyd ichwi er seiliad y byd.
34 Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
35 Oherwydd bm yn newynog a rhoesoch fwyd imi, bm yn sychedig a rhoesoch ddiod imi, bm yn ddieithr a chymerasoch fi i'ch cartref;
35 for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in.
36 bm yn noeth a rhoesoch ddillad amdanaf, bm yn glaf ac ymwelsoch mi, bm yng ngharchar a daethoch ataf.'
36 I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.’
37 Yna bydd y rhai cyfiawn yn ei ateb: 'Arglwydd,' gofynnant, 'pryd y'th welsom di'n newynog a'th borthi, neu'n sychedig a rhoi diod iti?
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink?
38 A phryd y'th welsom di'n ddieithr a'th gymryd i'n cartref, neu'n noeth a rhoi dillad amdanat?
38 When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you?
39 Pryd y'th welsom di'n glaf neu yng ngharchar ac ymweld thi?'
39 When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’
40 A bydd y Brenin yn eu hateb, 'Yn wir, 'rwy'n dweud wrthych, yn gymaint ag ichwi ei wneud i un o'r lleiaf o'r rhain, fy nghymrodyr, i mi y gwnaethoch.'
40 “The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers The word for “brothers” here may be also correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” , you did it to me.’
41 "Yna fe ddywed wrth y rhai ar y chwith, 'Ewch oddi wrthyf, chwi sydd dan felltith, i'r tn tragwyddol a baratowyd i'r diafol a'i angylion.
41 Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;
42 Bm yn newynog ac ni roesoch fwyd imi, bm yn sychedig ac ni roesoch ddiod imi;
42 for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;
43 bm yn ddieithr ac ni chymerasoch fi i'ch cartref, yn noeth ac ni roesoch ddillad amdanaf, yn glaf ac yng ngharchar ac nid ymwelsoch mi.'
43 I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’
44 Yna atebant hwythau: 'Arglwydd,' gofynnant, 'pryd y'th welsom di'n newynog neu'n sychedig neu'n ddieithr neu'n noeth neu'n glaf neu yng ngharchar heb weini arnat?'
44 “Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’
45 A bydd ef yn eu hateb, 'Yn wir, 'rwy'n dweud wrthych, yn gymaint ag ichwi beidio 'i wneud i un o'r rhai lleiaf hyn, nis gwnaethoch i minnau chwaith.'
45 “Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’
46 Ac fe 'r rhain ymaith i gosb dragwyddol, ond y rhai cyfiawn i fywyd tragwyddol."
46 These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
