1 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses,
1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2 "Llefara wrth bobl Israel, a chymer wialen gan bob un o arweinwyr y tylwythau, deuddeg i gyd. Ysgrifenna enw pob dyn ar ei wialen,
2“Speak to the children of Israel, and take of them rods, one for each fathers’ house, of all their princes according to their fathers’ houses, twelve rods: write every man’s name on his rod.
3 ond ar wialen Lefi ysgrifenna enw Aaron. Felly bydd gan bob un o arweinwyr y tylwythau wialen.
3You shall write Aaron’s name on the rod of Levi; for there shall be one rod for each head of their fathers’ houses.
4 Yna yr wyt i osod y gwiail ym mhabell y cyfarfod, o flaen y dystiolaeth, lle byddaf yn cwrdd � thi.
4You shall lay them up in the Tent of Meeting before the testimony, where I meet with you.
5 Bydd gwialen y dyn a ddewisaf fi yn blaguro; dyma sut y rhoddaf daw ar yr Israeliaid sy'n grwgnach yn dy erbyn."
5It shall happen, that the rod of the man whom I shall choose shall bud: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against you.”
6 Felly llefarodd Moses wrth bobl Israel, a rhoddodd pob un o arweinwyr y tylwythau wialen iddo, deuddeg i gyd; ac yr oedd gwialen Aaron ymhlith eu gwiail hwy.
6Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and all their princes gave him rods, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
7 Yna gosododd Moses y gwiail gerbron yr ARGLWYDD ym mhabell y dystiolaeth.
7Moses laid up the rods before Yahweh in the tent of the testimony.
8 Trannoeth aeth Moses i mewn i babell y dystiolaeth, a gwelodd fod gwialen Aaron, a oedd yn cynrychioli tu375? Lefi, wedi blaguro a blodeuo a dwyn almonau aeddfed.
8It happened on the next day, that Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and put forth buds, and produced blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.
9 Yna daeth Moses �'r holl wiail oedd gerbron yr ARGLWYDD allan at holl bobl Israel, ac wedi iddynt eu gweld, cymerodd pob dyn ei wialen.
9Moses brought out all the rods from before Yahweh to all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
10 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses, "Rho wialen Aaron yn �l o flaen y dystiolaeth fel arwydd i'r rhai gwrthryfelgar; rhydd hyn daw ar eu grwgnach yn f'erbyn, rhag iddynt farw."
10Yahweh said to Moses, “Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that you may make an end of their murmurings against me, that they not die.”
11 Gwnaeth Moses yn union fel yr oedd yr ARGLWYDD wedi gorchymyn iddo.
11Moses did so. As Yahweh commanded him, so he did.
12 Dywedodd pobl Israel wrth Moses, "Edrych, yr ydym yn trengi! Y mae wedi darfod amdanom! Y mae wedi darfod am bob un ohonom!
12The children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, “Behold, we perish! We are undone! We are all undone!
13 Bydd pob un sy'n nes�u at dabernacl yr ARGLWYDD yn marw. Ai trengi fydd tynged pob un ohonom?"
13Everyone who comes near, who comes near to the tabernacle of Yahweh, dies! Will we all perish?”
