2Why do the nations say, `Where, pray, [is] their God.

4Deres Billeder er Sølv og Guld, Værk af Menneskehænder;
4Their idols [are] silver and gold, work of man`s hands,
5de har Mund, men taler ikke, Øjne, men ser dog ej;
5A mouth they have, and they speak not, Eyes they have, and they see not,
6de har Ører, men hører ikke, Næse men lugter dog ej;
6Ears they have, and they hear not, A nose they have, and they smell not,
7de har Hænder, men føler ikke, Fødder, men går dog ej, deres Strube frembringer ikke en Lyd.
7Their hands, but they handle not, Their feet, and they walk not;
8Som dem skal de, der lavede dem, blive, enhver, som stoler på dem!
8Nor do they mutter through their throat, Like them are their makers, Every one who is trusting in them.

12HERREN kommer os i Hu, velsigner, velsigner Israels Hus, velsigner Arons Hus,
12Jehovah hath remembered us, He blesseth, He blesseth the house of Israel, He blesseth the house of Aaron,
13velsigner dem, der frygter HERREN, og det både små og store.
13He blesseth those fearing Jehovah, The small with the great.
14HERREN lader eder vokse i Tal, eder og eders Børn;
14Jehovah addeth to you, to you, and to your sons.

15Blessed [are] ye of Jehovah, maker of heaven and earth,
16Himlen er HERRENs Himmel, men Jorden gav han til Menneskens Børn.
16The heavens — the heavens [are] Jehovah`s, And the earth He hath given to sons of men,
17De døde priser ej HERREN, ingen af dem, der steg ned i det tavse.
17The dead praise not Jah, Nor any going down to silence.
18Men vi, vi lover HERREN, fra nu og til evig Tid!
