1خداوند به موسی فرمود: «حالا خواهی دید که من با فرعون چه می کنم. با قدرت خود او را مجبور می سازم که قوم برگزیدۀ مرا آزاد کند. در حقیقت کاری می کنم که او مجبور شود قوم برگزیدۀ مرا از سرزمین مصر بیرون کند.»
1Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.
2خدا به موسی فرمود: «من، خداوند هستم.
2And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:
3به ابراهیم، اسحاق و یعقوب به عنوان خدای قادر مطلق ظاهر شدم، ولی خود را به نامِ مُقدس خود، یعنی خداوند به آن ها معرفی نکردم.
3And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
4با آن ها پیمان بستم و وعده دادم که سرزمین کنعان یعنی سرزمینی را که در آنجا بیگانه بودند، به آن ها بخشم.
4And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.
5من ناله های بنی اسرائیل را که در مصر غلام و اسیر اند، شنیدم و پیمان خود را به یاد آوردم.
5And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.
6پس به بنی اسرائیل بگو که من خداوند هستم و شما را از دست مصری ها نجات می دهم و با قدرت خود آن ها را مجازات می کنم.
6Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
7شما را قوم برگزیدۀ خود می سازم و من خدای شما می باشم. وقتی شما را از غلامی مصری ها نجات بدهم، آنگاه می دانید که من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.
7And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
8من شما را به سرزمینی می آورم که به ابراهیم و اسحاق و یعقوب وعدۀ ملکیت آن را داده بودم. من آنرا به شما خواهم داد تا مالک آن باشید. من خداوند هستم.»
8And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.
9موسی این سخنان را به بنی اسرائیل گفت ولی آن ها به سخنان او گوش ندادند، چونکه روحیۀ آن ها در زیر بارِ ظلمِ غلامی ضعیف شده بود.
9And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.
10آنگاه خداوند به موسی فرمود:
10And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
11«برو به فرعون بگو که به بنی اسرائیل اجازه بدهد تا از مصر خارج شوند.»
11Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.
12اما موسی به خداوند عرض کرد: «در حالیکه بنی اسرائیل به سخنان من اعتنا نمی کنند، از فرعون چطور توقع داشته باشم که به سخنان من گوش بدهد؟ برعلاوه من سخنور خوبی هم نیستم؟»
12And Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?
13خداوند به موسی و هارون مأموریت داد تا به نزد اسرائیلی ها و فرعون، پادشاه مصر بروند و بنی اسرائیل را از سرزمین مصر بیرون آورند.
13And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
14رؤبین که پسر بزرگ یعقوب بود، چهار پسر بنامهای حنوک، فَلو، حِزرون و کَرمی داشت. هر یک از آن ها جد یک قبیله بود و هر کدام بنام جد خود یاد می شد.
14These be the heads of their fathers' houses: The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel; Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these be the families of Reuben.
15شمعون شش پسر داشت: یموئیل، یامین، اوهد، یاکین، صوحر و شائول. (مادر شائول یک زن کنعانی بود.) هر یک از اینها جد یکی از قبایل بود.
15And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman: these are the families of Simeon.
16لاوی یکصد و سی و هفت سال عمر کرد و دارای سه پسر بود بنامهای جرشون، قُهات و مراری که اجداد قبایل لاوی بودند.
16And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari: and the years of the life of Levi were an hundred thirty and seven years.
17جرشون دارای دو پسر بود بنامهای لِبنی و شِمعی که هر یک دارای قبیله ای شد.
17The sons of Gershon; Libni, and Shimi, according to their families.
18قهات یکصد و سی و سه سال عمر کرد و چهار پسر داشت بنامهای عَمرام، یزهار، حِبرون و عزیئیل.
18And the sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath were an hundred thirty and three years.
19مِراری دارای دو پسر شد بنامهای مَحلی و موشی که با فرزندان شان قبیله های لاوی را تشکیل دادند.
19And the sons of Merari; Mahali and Mushi: these are the families of Levi according to their generations.
20عَمرام با عمۀ خود یوکابد ازدواج کرد. یوکابد، هارون و موسی را بدنیا آورد. عَمرام یکصد و سی و هفت سال عمر کرد.
20And Amram took him Jochebed his father's sister to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of Amram were an hundred and thirty and seven years.
21یزهار سه پسر داشت بنامهای قورح، نِفج و زِکری.
21And the sons of Izhar; Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri.
22عزیئیل سه پسر داشت بنامهای میشائیل، ایلصافن و ستری.
22And the sons of Uzziel; Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Zithri.
23هارون با الیشبع که دختر عمیناداب و خواهر نحشون بود ازدواج کرد و دارای چهار پسر شد بنامهای ناداب، ابیهو، اَلِعازار و ایتامار.
23And Aaron took him Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Naashon, to wife; and she bare him Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
24قورح دارای سه پسر شد بنامهای اَسّیر، اَلقانَه و اَبیاَساف که اجداد قبایل قورح بودند.
24And the sons of Korah; Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph: these are the families of the Korhites.
25اَلِعازار پسر هارون با یکی از دختران فوتی ئیل ازدواج کرد و صاحب پسری شد بنام فینِحاس. این بود نامهای بزرگان و اجداد قبیله های لاوی.
25And Eleazar Aaron's son took him one of the daughters of Putiel to wife; and she bare him Phinehas: these are the heads of the fathers of the Levites according to their families.
26موسی و هارون همان کسانی بودند که خداوند به آن ها فرمود که بنی اسرائیل را با تمامی قبیله های شان از سرزمین مصر بیرون بیاورند.
26These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom the LORD said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.
27موسی و هارون پیش فرعون، پادشاهِ مصر رفتند تا از او بخواهند که بنی اسرائیل را از مصر آزاد کند.
27These are they which spake to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these are that Moses and Aaron.
28یک روز خداوند در سرزمین مصر به موسی خطاب کرده فرمود:
28And it came to pass on the day when the LORD spake unto Moses in the land of Egypt,
29«من خداوند هستم. آنچه را به تو می گویم به فرعون، پادشاهِ مصر بگو.»اما موسی به خداوند عرض کرد: «خداوندا، تو می دانی که من در سخن گفتن کند هستم. پس فرعون چطور به سخنان من گوش خواهد داد؟»
29That the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, I am the LORD: speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto thee.
30اما موسی به خداوند عرض کرد: «خداوندا، تو می دانی که من در سخن گفتن کند هستم. پس فرعون چطور به سخنان من گوش خواهد داد؟»
30And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?
