1فهرست سران خاندان های اسرائیلی که در بابل تبعید بودند و در زمان پادشاهی اُردشیر همراه من به اورشلیم برگشتند به این شرح است:
1These are now the chief of their fathers, and this is the genealogy of them that went up with me from Babylon, in the reign of Artaxerxes the king.
2جرشوم، از خاندان فِنیحاس؛ دانیال، از خاندان ایتامار؛ حطوش فرزند شِکَنیا، از خاندان داود؛ زکریا، از خاندان فَروُش، به همراه یک صد و پنجاه مرد دیگر که اصل و نسب آن ها ثبت شده است؛ اَلیُو عینای فرزند زِرَحیا، از خاندان فَحَت موآب، همراه دوصد مرد؛ شِکَنیا فرزند یحزیئیل، از خاندان زتو، همراه سه صد مرد؛ عابد فرزند یُوناتان، از خاندان عدین، همراه پنجاه مرد؛ اشعیا فرزند عتلیا، از خاندان عیلام، همراه هفتاد مرد؛ زَبَدیا فرزند میکائیل، از خاندان شِفَطیا، همراه هشتاد مرد؛ عوبَدیا فرزند یحیئیل، از خاندان یوآب، با دوصد و هجده مرد؛ شلومیت فرزند یوسفیا، از خاندان بانی، همراه یکصد و شصت مرد؛ زکریا فرزند بابای، از خاندان بابای، همراه بیست و هشت مرد؛ یُوحانان فرزند هقاتان، از خاندان عزجد، همراه یکصد و ده مرد؛ اَلِیفَلَط، یعی ئیل و شِمَعیه، از خاندان اَدُونیقام، همراه شصت مرد (این گروه آخرین گروهی بودند که برگشتند)؛ از خاندان بغوای، عوتای و زبود همراه با هفتاد نفر مرد.
2Of the sons of Phinehas; Gershom: of the sons of Ithamar; Daniel: of the sons of David; Hattush.
3من همه را در کنار نهری که به طرف شهر اهَوا جاری است، جمع کردم و در آنجا سه روز اردو زدیم، و دریافتم که تعدادی از کاهنان در بین آن ها بود، ولی از لاویان کسی در آنجا وجود نداشت.
3Of the sons of Shechaniah, of the sons of Pharosh; Zechariah: and with him were reckoned by genealogy of the males an hundred and fifty.
4نه نفر از سران قوم به نامهای اَلِیَعَزر، اریئیل، شِمَعیه، اَلناتان، یاریب، اَلناتان، ناتان، زکریا، و مِشُلام و دو نفر از معلمان به نامهای یاریب و اَلناتان را احضار کردم.
4Of the sons of Pahathmoab; Elihoenai the son of Zerahiah, and with him two hundred males.
5آن ها را به نزد عِدو، رئیس طایفه ای که در ناحیه کاسِفیا سکونت دارند، فرستادم تا از او و همکارانش که خادمین عبادتگاه بودند، بخواهند تا خادمانی را برای خدمت خداوند در عبادتگاه بفرستند.
5Of the sons of Shechaniah; the son of Jahaziel, and with him three hundred males.
6به لطف خدا آن ها یکی از لاویان را بنام شرَبیا، از خاندان مَحلی که شخصی برجسته بود، به همراه هجده نفر از پسران و برادرانش فرستادند.
6Of the sons also of Adin; Ebed the son of Jonathan, and with him fifty males.
7آن ها همچنین حَشَبیا و اشعیا را از خانوادۀ مراری به اتفاق بیست نفر از پسران و برادران آن ها فرستادند
7And of the sons of Elam; Jeshaiah the son of Athaliah, and with him seventy males.
8علاوه بر آن، دوصد و بیست نفر از خادمان عبادتگاه که اجدادشان بوسیله داود پادشاه و نمایندگان او برای کمک به لاویان منصوب شده بودند همراه دیگران آمدند. اسامی همۀ آن ها دوصد و بیست نفر ثبت شده است.
8And of the sons of Shephatiah; Zebadiah the son of Michael, and with him fourscore males.
9در آنجا، در کنار نهر اهَوا، از همه خواستم تا همه با هم روزه بگیریم و با فروتنی از خدای خویش بخواهیم که ما را در سفر ما رهبری کند، و خود ما و فرزندان ما و اموال ما را محافظت نماید.
9Of the sons of Joab; Obadiah the son of Jehiel, and with him two hundred and eighteen males.
10من خجالت می کشیدم از پادشاه تقاضا کنم که یک تعداد از عساکر سوار خود را بفرستد تا در سفر در مقابل هر دشمنی از ما محافظت کنند، چون من به او گفته بودم که خدای ما به هر کسی که به او توکل کند برکت خواهد داد و همینطور هرکسی که از او رو برگرداند، مورد خشم و مجازات او قرار می گیرد.
10And of the sons of Shelomith; the son of Josiphiah, and with him an hundred and threescore males.
11پس ما روزه گرفتیم و دعا کردیم تا خدا خودش از ما مراقبت کند و او هم دعاهای ما را مستجاب فرمود.
11And of the sons of Bebai; Zechariah the son of Bebai, and with him twenty and eight males.
12از بین سران کاهنان شرَبیا، حشابیا، و ده نفر دیگر را انتخاب کردم.
12And of the sons of Azgad; Johanan the son of Hakkatan, and with him an hundred and ten males.
13آنگاه طلا و نقره و ظروفی را که پادشاه و مشاورین و مأمورین عالیرتبۀ او و مردم اسرائیل برای استفاده در عبادتگاه داده بودند وزن کردم و به کاهنان سپردم.
13And of the last sons of Adonikam, whose names are these, Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them threescore males.
14آنچه به آن ها دادم به این شرح است: نقره ـ بیست و دو تُن؛ صد عدد ظروف نقره ئی به وزن ـ هفتاد کیلوگرام؛ طلا ـ سه هزار و چهارصد کیلوگرام؛ بیست عدد جام طلا به وزن ـ هشت کیلوگرام؛ دو عدد جام برنج اعلی به همان ارزش جامهای طلا.
14Of the sons also of Bigvai; Uthai, and Zabbud, and with them seventy males.
15به آن ها گفتم: «شما در حضور خداوند، خدای اجداد خود، مقدس هستید، همینطور کلیه ظروف طلا و نقره که بعنوان هدیه به او تقدیم شده، مقدس است.
15And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.
16تا رسیدن به عبادتگاه در حفظ و مراقبتِ آن ها دقت کنید. در آنجا، در اطاق کاهنان، آن ها را وزن کرده به سران کاهنان و لاویان و رهبران قوم اسرائیل در اورشلیم بدهید.»
16Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding.
17پس کاهنان و لاویان مسئولیت محافظت طلا و نقره و ظروف را تا رسانیدن آن ها به عبادتگاه اورشلیم به عهده گرفتند.
17And I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.
18در روز دوازدهم ماه اول، نهر اهَوا را ترک کردیم و عازم اورشلیم شدیم. خدای ما در سفر با ما بود و ما را از حملات دشمنان و راهزنان حفظ کرد.
18And by the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;
19وقتی به اورشلیم رسیدیم سه روز استراحت کردیم.
19And Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brethren and their sons, twenty;
20در روز چهارم به عبادتگاه رفتیم. نقره و طلا و ظروف را وزن کردیم و به یک نفر کاهن به نام مریموت فرزند اوریا دادیم. اَلِعازار فرزند فِنیحاس و دو نفر از لاویان به نامهای یُوزاباد فرزند یشوع و نوعَدیه فرزند بِنوی نیز با او بودند.
20Also of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name.
21همه چیز شمرده و وزن شد و صورت حساب کاملی از آن ها در همان موقع تهیه گردید.
21Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.
22بعد از آن همه کسانی که از تبعید برگشته بودند هدایائی آوردند تا بعنوان قربانی سوختنی در حضور خدای اسرائیل تقدیم شود. آن ها دوازده گاو نر، نود و شش قوچ و هفتاد و هفت بره را برای عموم قوم اسرائیل قربانی کردند. علاوه برآن، دوازده بُز را هم به منظور آمرزش گناهان خود قربانی کردند. تمام این حیوانات را بصورت قربانی سوختنی به حضور خدا تقدیم کردند.آن ها همچنین نوشته ای را که پادشاه به آن ها داده بود، به حکام و مأمورین دولت در ناحیه غربی دریای فرات دادند، و مأمورین هم از مردم و پرستش آن ها در عبادتگاه حمایت نمودند.
22For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.
23آن ها همچنین نوشته ای را که پادشاه به آن ها داده بود، به حکام و مأمورین دولت در ناحیه غربی دریای فرات دادند، و مأمورین هم از مردم و پرستش آن ها در عبادتگاه حمایت نمودند.
23So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us.
24Then I separated twelve of the chief of the priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them,
25And weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, even the offering of the house of our God, which the king, and his counsellors, and his lords, and all Israel there present, had offered:
26I even weighed unto their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels an hundred talents, and of gold an hundred talents;
27Also twenty basons of gold, of a thousand drams; and two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold.
28And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the LORD; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers.
29Watch ye, and keep them, until ye weigh them before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and chief of the fathers of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the LORD.
30So took the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem unto the house of our God.
31Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.
32And we came to Jerusalem, and abode there three days.
33Now on the fourth day was the silver and the gold and the vessels weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest; and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas; and with them was Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, Levites;
34By number and by weight of every one: and all the weight was written at that time.
35Also the children of those that had been carried away, which were come out of the captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the God of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he goats for a sin offering: all this was a burnt offering unto the LORD.
36And they delivered the king's commissions unto the king's lieutenants, and to the governors on this side the river: and they furthered the people, and the house of God.
