1اینها اولادۀ نوح یعنی فرزندان سام، حام و یافت هستند که بعد از طوفان متولد شدند.
1Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.
2پسران یافت: جومر، ماجوج، مادای، یاوان، توبال، مِاشِک و تیراس بودند.
2The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
3پسران جومر: اَشکَناز، ریفات و توجَرمه بودند.
3And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
4پسران یاوان: اَلیشَه، ترشیش، کِتیم و رودانیم بودند.
4And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5از اینها مردمی که در اطراف و جزیره ها زندگی می کردند، بوجود آمدند. اینها فرزندان یافت هستند که هرکدام در قبیله و در سرزمین خود شان زندگی می کردند و هر قبیله به زبان مخصوص خود شان صحبت می کردند.
5By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
6پسران حام: کوش، مِسرایِم، فوط و کنعان بودند.
6And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
7پسران کوش: سِبا، حویله، سَبته، رَعمه و سَبتِکا بودند. رَعمه دارای دو پسر بنام های سِبا و دَدان بود.
7And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
8کوش پسری داشت به نام نِمرود. او اولین مرد قدرتمند در روی زمین بود.
8And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9او با کمک خداوند تیرانداز ماهری شده بود و به همین جهت است که مردم می گویند: «خدا تو را در تیراندازی مانند نِمرود ماهر سازد.»
9He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
10در ابتدا منطقۀ فرمانروائی او شامل: بابل، ارَک، اَکد و کلنه در سرزمین شِنعار بود.
10And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11بعد از آن به سرزمین آشور رفت و شهر های نینوا، رِحوبوت عیر، کالح،
11Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,
12و ریسن را که بین نینوا و کالح، که شهر بزرگی است، بنا کرد.
12And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.
13مِسرایِم جد لُودیم، عَنامیم، لَهابیم، نِفتوح،
13And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
14فَتروسیم، کَسلوحیم (که جد فلسطینی ها است) و کفتوریم بود.
14And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.
15صیدون، فرزند اولباری کنعان بود، و پس از او حِت به دنیا آمد.
15And Canaan begat Sidon his first born, and Heth,
16کنعان هم جد اقوام زیر بود: یبوسیان، اَمُوریان، جَرجاشیان،
16And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,
17حویان، عِرقیان، سینیان،
17And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
18اروادیان، صماریان و حماتیان. قبایل مختلف کنعان از صیدون تا جرار که نزدیک غزه است و تا سدوم و عموره و اَدُمَه و زِبُیم که نزدیک لاشع است، پراگنده شدند.
18And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.
19اینها اولادۀ حام بودند که بصورت قبیله های مختلف زندگی می کردند و هر قبیله برای خود زبان مخصوصی داشت.
19And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.
20سام، برادر بزرگ یافت، پدر تمام عبرانیان است.
20These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.
21پسران سام عبارت بودند از: عیلام، آشور، اَرفَکشاد، لُود و آرام.
21Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
22پسران آرام عبارت بودند از: عوص، حول، جاتَر و ماش.
22The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
23اَرفَکشاد پدر شَلح و شَلح پدر عِبِر بود.
23And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
24عِبِر دو پسر داشت. اسم یکی فِلِج بود، زیرا در زمان او بود که مردم دنیا پراگنده شدند، و اسم دیگری یُقطان بود.
24And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.
25پسران یُقطان عبارت بودند از: اَلمُوداد، شِلِف، حَزرموت، یارَح،
25And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
26هدورام، اوزال، دِقله،
26And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
27عوبال، اَبیمائیل، سِبا،
27And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
28اوفیر، حویله و یوباب بود.
28And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
29همۀ اینها از ناحیۀ میشا تا سَفاره که یکی از کوههای شرقی است، زندگی می کردند.
29And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan.
30اینها اولادۀ سام بودند که در قبایل و سرزمین های مختلف زندگی می کردند و هر قبیله با زبان مخصوص خود شان تکلم می کردند.همۀ این افراد، بر طبق نسب نامه های شان، پسران نوح بودند که بعد از طوفان تمام ملت های روی زمین به وسیلۀ آن ها بوجود آمد.
30And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east.
31همۀ این افراد، بر طبق نسب نامه های شان، پسران نوح بودند که بعد از طوفان تمام ملت های روی زمین به وسیلۀ آن ها بوجود آمد.
31These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
32These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
