¹«ای همه کسانی که تشنه اید، به پیش آب بیائید. شما که پول ندارید، بیائید، دریافت کنید و بخورید. بیائید شراب و شیر را رایگان به دست آورید.

¹Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

²چرا پول تان را برای چیزی که قابل خوردن نیست، مصرف می کنید و پولی را که با عرق جبین به دست می آورید صرف چیزی می کنید که شما را سیر نمی سازد؟ بدقت گوش بدهید و از من بشنوید: چیزهائی بخورید که برای تان مفید باشد، به شما نیرو بخشد و از آن ها لذت ببرید.

²Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

³به من گوش بدهید و پیش من بیائید تا حیات تازه بیابید. من با شما پیمان ابدی می بندم و برکاتی را که به داود وعده داده بودم، به شما می دهم.

³Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

⁴من او را بعنوان رهبر و پیشوای مردم برگزیدم و بوسیلۀ او قدرت خود را به جهان نشان دادم.

⁴Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

⁵تو هم اقوام بیگانه را فرامی خوانی و آن ها می آیند و با تو می پیوندند، زیرا خداوند، خدای تو که قدوس اسرائیل است، به ارادۀ خود این کار را انجام می دهد و به تو عزت و افتخار می بخشد.»

⁵Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

⁶تا که خدا به شما نزدیک است و به او دسترسی دارید، طالب او باشید.

⁶Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

⁷گناهکاران از شرارت و افکار بد خود دست بردارند و بسوی خدا بازگردند، زیرا خداوند ما بخشنده و رحمت او بی پایان است.

⁷Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

⁸خداوند می فرماید: «افکار شما مثل افکار من نیست و نه راههای شما مثل راههای من است،

⁸For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

⁹زیرا همانقدر که آسمان از زمین بلند است، افکار و راههای من هم بلندتر و عالیتر از افکار و راههای شما است.

⁹For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

¹⁰همانطوریکه باران و برف از آسمان می بارد و زمین را آبیاری می کند و آنرا حاصلخیز می سازد، برای زراعت تخم و برای خورنده خوراک تهیه می کند،

¹⁰For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

¹¹کلام من هم وقتی از زبانم خارج می شود، بی ثمر بسوی من بر نمی گردد، بلکه مرام مرا اجرا می کند و ارادۀ مرا بجا می آورد.

¹¹So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

¹²شما با خوشی از بابل خارج می شوید و به سلامتی به وطن تان بازمی گردید. کوهها و تپه ها به استقبال شما نغمۀ شادمانی را سر می دهند و درختان جنگل برای شما کف می زنند.در زمین تان بجای خار و خس، درختان صنوبر و بوته های خوشبو می رویند و این یادگاری است جاودانی تا همه بدانند که من، خداوند این کار را انجام دادم.»

¹²For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

¹³در زمین تان بجای خار و خس، درختان صنوبر و بوته های خوشبو می رویند و این یادگاری است جاودانی تا همه بدانند که من، خداوند این کار را انجام دادم.»

¹³Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
