¹ای خداوند، دعایم را بشنو و فریاد من نزد تو برسد.

¹Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.

²در روز سختی از من رو مگردان. به من توجه فرما و هرگاه دعا می کنم مرا به زودی اجابت فرما.

²Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.

³روزهای عمرم مانند دود برباد رفته و استخوانهایم مثل هیزم در حال سوختن است.

³For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.

⁴دل من مثل گیاهی است که کوبیده و خشک شده باشد. خوردن غذای خود را فراموش کرده ام.

⁴My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.

⁵به سبب آواز نالۀ من، جزء پوست و استخوان چیزی در بدنم باقی نمانده است.

⁵By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.

⁶مثل مرغ سقای صحرا شده و مانند بوم خرابه ها گردیده ام.

⁶I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.

⁷خواب به چشمانم راه ندارد و چون پرنده ای تنها بر پشت بام هستم.

⁷I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.

⁸دشمنانم هر روز مرا سرزنش می کنند و مسخره کنندگانم مرا لعنت می نمایند.

⁸Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.

⁹به سبب خشم و غضب تو خاکستر را مثل نان می خورم و اشکهایم با آبی که می نوشم آمیخته اند،

⁹For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping.

¹⁰زیرا که مرا برداشتی و بر زمین زدی.

¹⁰Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.

¹¹روزهایم مانند سایه های عصر رو بزوال است و من مثل گیاه پژمرده می شوم.

¹¹My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.

¹²لیکن تو ای خداوند، تا به ابد پادشاه هستی! و شهرت نام تو در تمام نسل ها باقی خواهد ماند.

¹²But thou, O LORD, shall endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.

¹³تو برخاسته، بر سهیون رحم می کنی، زیرا وقت آن است که بر او شفقت نمائی و زمان معین رسیده است.

¹³Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.

¹⁴چون بندگان تو به سنگهای آنجا علاقه و دلبستگی دارند و بر خاک آن شفقت می نمایند.

¹⁴For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.

¹⁵قوم ها از نام خداوند خواهند ترسید و پادشاهان روی زمین از عظمت و جلال او.

¹⁵So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.

¹⁶زیرا خداوند سهیون را بنا می کند و در جلال خود ظاهر می گردد.

¹⁶When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.

¹⁷به زاری درماندگان توجه نموده و دعای مسکینان را خوار نخواهد شمرد.

¹⁷He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.

¹⁸این برای نسل آینده نوشته می شود تا قومی که آفریده خواهند شد، خداوند را ستایش کنند.

¹⁸This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

¹⁹خداوند از جایگاه ملکوتی خود نگریسته و از آسمان بر زمین نظر افگنده است.

¹⁹For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;

²⁰تا نالۀ اسیران را بشنود و آنانی را که محکوم به مرگ بودند، رهایی بخشد.

²⁰To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;

²¹بنابراین نام خداوند در سهیون ذکر خواهد گردید و در اورشلیم او را ستایش خواهند کرد،

²¹To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;

²²هنگامیکه اقوام و ملتهای جهان یکجا جمع شوند تا خداوند را عبادت نمایند.

²²When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.

²³توانائی مرا در نصف راه از من گرفت و روزهای مرا کوتاه گردانید.

²³He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.

²⁴آنگاه گفتم که ای خدای من، نگذار که در جوانی بمیرم. ای که جاویدان و ابدی هستی.

²⁴I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.

²⁵از قدیم بنیاد زمین را نهادی و آسمان ها عمل دستهای تو است.

²⁵Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.

²⁶آن ها فانی می شوند، لیکن تو باقی هستی و همگی آن ها همچون لباس، کهنه و فرسوده می شوند. تو آن ها را مثل ردا تبدیل می کنی و مبدل خواهند شد.

²⁶They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:

²⁷لیکن تو همان هستی و سالهای تو تمام نخواهد گردید.فرزندان بندگانت در پناه تو بسر برده و نسل ایشان در حضور تو پایدار خواهند بود.

²⁷But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.

²⁸فرزندان بندگانت در پناه تو بسر برده و نسل ایشان در حضور تو پایدار خواهند بود.

²⁸The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.
