¹اگر خداوند با ما نمی بود، حال اسرائیل بگوید:

¹If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;

²«اگر خداوند با ما نمی بود، وقتی که دشمنان با ما مقاومت نمودند،

²If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

³آن ها همۀ ما را زنده می بلعیدند، چون خشم ایشان بر ما افروخته بود.

³Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

⁴آنگاه آبها ما را غرق می کرد و گردابها جان ما را می پوشاند.

⁴Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

⁵آنگاه آب های خروشان از جان ما می گذشت.»

⁵Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

⁶متبارک باد خداوند که نگذاشت ما شکار دندانهای آن ها شویم.

⁶Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

⁷جان ما مثل پرنده از دام صیاد آزاد گردید. دام شکست و ما نجات یافتیم.کمک ما به نام خداوند است که آسمان و زمین را آفرید.

⁷Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

⁸کمک ما به نام خداوند است که آسمان و زمین را آفرید.

⁸Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
