1ای خداوند، دعای مرا بشنو و به عذر و زاری من گوش بده! در وفاداری و عدالت خویش مرا اجابت فرما!
1Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.
2بندۀ خود را محاکمه مکن، زیرا زنده ای نیست که به حضور تو عادل شمرده شود.
2And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
3دشمن بر جان من جفا کرده، حیات مرا بر زمین کوبیده است و مرا در ظلمت ساکن گردانیده، مثل کسانی که سالها پیش مُرده باشند.
3For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.
4پس روح من در من مدهوش شده و دلم در عمق وجودم ترسان و سرگردان گردیده است.
4Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.
5ایام قدیم را بیاد می آورم. در همۀ اعمال تو تفکر نموده و در کارهای دست تو می اندیشم.
5I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.
6دستهای خود را بسوی تو دراز می کنم. جان من مثل زمین خشک، تشنۀ تو است.
6I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
7ای خداوند، به زودی مرا اجابت فرما زیرا روح من ناتوان شده است. روی خود را از من مپوشان، مبادا بمیرم و به دیار مُردگان بروم.
7Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
8صبحگاهان رحمت خود را بر من بشنوان زیرا که بر تو توکل دارم. راهی را که در آن باید بروم به من بیاموز، زیرا که نزد تو جان خود را بر می افرازم.
8Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
9ای خداوند، مرا از دشمنانم برهان زیرا که به تو پناه برده ام.
9Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
10مرا تعلیم ده تا ارادۀ تو را بجا آورم زیرا خدای من تو هستی. روح مهربان تو مرا در زمین هموار هدایت بنماید.
10Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
11به خاطر نام خود ای خداوند مرا زنده ساز و به خاطر عدالت خویش جان مرا از سختی نجات ده.به خاطر رحمت خود، دشمنانم را نابود کن و همۀ مخالفان جانم را هلاک کن، زیرا که من خادم تو هستم.
11Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.
12به خاطر رحمت خود، دشمنانم را نابود کن و همۀ مخالفان جانم را هلاک کن، زیرا که من خادم تو هستم.
12And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
