1In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, came the word of Jehovah by the prophet Haggai unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,
1 Yn ail flwyddyn y Brenin Dareius, yn y chweched mis, ar y dydd cyntaf o'r mis, daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD trwy'r proffwyd Haggai at Sorobabel fab Salathiel, llywodraethwr Jwda, ac at Josua fab Josedec, yr archoffeiriad.
2Thus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that Jehovah's house should be built.
2 Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd: "Y mae'r bobl hyn yn dweud na ddaeth yr amser i adeiladu tu375?'r ARGLWYDD."
3And the word of Jehovah came by Haggai the prophet, saying,
3 A daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD trwy'r proffwyd Haggai:
4Is it time for you that ye should dwell in your wainscoted houses, while this house lieth waste?
4 "Ai amser yw i chwi eich hunain fyw yn eich tai moethus, a'r tu375? hwn yn adfeilion?"
5And now thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways.
5 Yn awr, fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd: "Ystyriwch eich cyflwr.
6Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but are not satisfied; ye drink, but are not filled with drink; ye clothe yourselves, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages for a bag with holes.
6 Hauasoch lawer, ond medi ychydig; yr ydych yn bwyta, ond heb gael digon; yr ydych yn yfed, ond heb eich llenwi byth; yr ydych yn ymwisgo, ond heb fod yn gynnes byth; y mae'r sawl sy'n ennill cyflog yn ei gadw mewn cod dyllog."
7Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways.
7 Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd: "Ystyriwch eich cyflwr.
8Go up to the mountain and bring wood, and build the house, and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith Jehovah.
8 Ewch i'r mynydd, torrwch goed i adeiladu'r tu375?, i mi gael ymhyfrydu ynddo a chael anrhydedd," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
9Ye looked for much, and behold it was little; and when ye brought it home, I blew upon it. Wherefore? saith Jehovah of hosts. Because of my house that lieth waste, whilst ye run every man to his own house.
9 "Yr ydych yn edrych am lawer, ond yn cael ychydig; pan ddygwch y cynhaeaf adref, yr wyf yn chwythu arno. Pam?" medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd. "Am fod fy nhu375? yn adfeilion, a chwithau bob un ohonoch � thu375? i fynd iddo.
10Therefore over you the heavens withhold their dew, and the earth withholdeth its fruit.
10 Dyna pam yr ataliodd y nefoedd y gwlith ac y cadwodd y ddaear ei ffrwyth,
11And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon man, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
11 ac y cyhoeddais innau sychder ar y ddaear, y mynyddoedd, yr u375?d, y gwin, yr olew, ar bopeth o gynnyrch y tir, ar ddyn ac anifail, ac ar holl lafur dwylo."
12And Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all the remnant of the people, hearkened to the voice of Jehovah their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, according as Jehovah their God had sent him, and the people feared before Jehovah.
12 Gwrandawodd Sorobabel fab Salathiel a Josua fab Josedec, yr archoffeiriad, a holl weddill y bobl, ar lais yr ARGLWYDD eu Duw a geiriau Haggai, y proffwyd a anfonodd yr ARGLWYDD eu Duw; ac ofnodd y bobl o flaen yr ARGLWYDD.
13Then spoke Haggai, Jehovah's messenger, in Jehovah's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith Jehovah.
13 Yna llefarodd Haggai, cennad yr ARGLWYDD, neges yr ARGLWYDD i'r bobl: "Yr wyf fi gyda chwi," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
14And Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked at the house of Jehovah of hosts, their God,
14 A chynhyrfodd yr ARGLWYDD ysbryd Sorobabel fab Salathiel, llywodraethwr Jwda, ac ysbryd Josua fab Josedec, yr archoffeiriad, a gweddill y bobl; a daethant a dechrau gweithio ar du375? ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, eu Duw hwy,
