3

1They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? Would not that land be utterly polluted? But thou hast committed fornication with many lovers; yet return to me, saith Jehovah.
1 "Os bydd gu373?r yn ysgaru ei wraig, a hithau'n ei adael ac yn mynd yn eiddo i arall, a ddychwel ef ati? Oni halogid y tir yn ddirfawr trwy hyn? Yr wyt wedi puteinio gyda chariadon lawer, ond a fyddi'n dychwelyd ataf?" medd yr ARGLWYDD.
2Lift up thine eyes unto the heights and see, where hast thou not been lain with? In the ways hast thou sat for them, as an Arab in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy fornications and with thy wickedness.
2 "Cod dy olwg i'r moelydd, ac edrych am fan na phuteiniaist ynddo; disgwyliaist amdanynt ger y ffyrdd, fel Arab yn yr anialwch; halogaist y tir 'th buteindra, ac 'th ddrygioni.
3And the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; but thou hast a harlot's forehead, thou refusest to be ashamed.
3 Ataliwyd y glawogydd, ac ni ddaeth y cawodydd diweddar; ond talcen putain oedd gennyt, a gwrthodaist gywilyddio.
4Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth?
4 Ac onid wyt yn awr yn galw arnaf, 'Fy nhad, cyfaill fy ieuenctid wyt ti
5Will he keep [his anger] for ever? Will he preserve it perpetually? Behold, thou hast spoken and hast done evil things, and thou art [so] determined.
5 a fydd ef yn ddig hyd byth? a geidw ef lid bob amser?' Fel hyn y lleferaist, ond gwnaethost ddrygioni hyd y gellaist."
6And Jehovah said unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen what backsliding Israel hath done? She hath gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath committed fornication.
6 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrthyf yn nyddiau'r Brenin Joseia, "A welaist ti'r hyn a wnaeth Israel anffyddlon? Bu'n rhodianna ar bob bryn uchel a than bob pren gwyrddlas, a phuteinio yno.
7And I said, After she hath done all these [things], she will return unto me; but she returned not. And her sister Judah, the treacherous, saw [it].
7 Dywedais, 'Wedi iddi wneud hyn i gyd, fe ddychwel ataf.' Ond ni ddychwelodd, a gwelodd ei chwaer dwyllodrus Jwda hynny.
8And I saw that when for all the causes wherein backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce, yet the treacherous Judah, her sister, feared not, but went and committed fornication also.
8 Gwelodd mai'n unig oherwydd i Israel anffyddlon odinebu y gollyngais hi, a rhoi iddi ei llythyr ysgar; er hynny nid ofnodd Jwda, ei chwaer dwyllodrus, ond aeth hithau hefyd a phuteinio.
9And it came to pass through the lightness of her fornication that she polluted the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.
9 Halogodd y tir trwy buteinio mor rhwydd, gan odinebu gyda maen a chyda phren.
10And even for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not returned unto me with her whole heart, but with falsehood, saith Jehovah.
10 Ac er hyn oll ni ddychwelodd ei chwaer dwyllodrus Jwda ataf fi 'i holl galon, ond mewn rhagrith," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
11And Jehovah said unto me, Backsliding Israel hath shewn herself more just than treacherous Judah.
11 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrthyf, "Fe'i cyfiawnhaodd Israel anffyddlon ei hun rhagor Jwda dwyllodrus.
12Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith Jehovah: I will not make my face dark upon you; for I am merciful, saith Jehovah; I will not keep [anger] for ever.
12 Dos a chyhoedda'r geiriau hyn tua'r gogledd, a dywed: 'Dychwel, Israel anffyddlon,' medd yr ARGLWYDD. 'Ni fwriaf fy llid arnoch, canys ffyddlon wyf fi,' medd yr ARGLWYDD. 'Ni fyddaf ddig hyd byth.
13Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against Jehovah thy God, and hast turned thy ways hither and thither to the strangers under every green tree; and ye have not hearkened to my voice, saith Jehovah.
13 Yn unig cydnebydd dy gamwedd, iti wrthryfela yn erbyn yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw, ac afradu dy ffafrau i ddieithriaid dan bob pren gwyrddlas, heb wrando ar fy llais,' medd yr ARGLWYDD.
14Return, backsliding children, saith Jehovah; for I am a husband unto you, and I will take you, one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion.
14 "Dychwelwch, blant anffyddlon," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "oherwydd myfi a'ch piau chwi, ac fe'ch cymeraf bob yn un o ddinas a bob yn ddau o lwyth, a'ch dwyn i Seion.
15And I will give you shepherds according to my heart, and they shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
15 Yno y rhof i chwi fugeiliaid wrth fodd fy nghalon, a phorthant chwi gwybodaeth a deall.
16And it shall come to pass, when ye are multiplied in the land and become fruitful, in those days, saith Jehovah, they shall say no more, Ark of the covenant of Jehovah! neither shall it come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit [it]; neither shall it be done any more.
16 Wedi i chwi amlhau a chynyddu yn y wlad, fe ddaw amser," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "pan na ddywedir mwyach, 'Arch cyfamod yr ARGLWYDD', ac ni ddaw i feddwl neb gofio amdani nac ymweld hi, ac ni wneir hynny mwyach.
17At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of Jehovah; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of Jehovah, to Jerusalem; and they shall no more walk after the stubbornness of their evil heart.
17 Yr adeg honno galwant Jerwsalem yn orsedd yr ARGLWYDD, ac ymgasgla ati'r holl genhedloedd yno at enw'r ARGLWYDD yn Jerwsalem; ac ni rodiant mwyach yn l ystyfnigrwydd eu calon ddrygionus.
18In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel; and they shall come together out of the land of the north, to the land which I caused your fathers to inherit.
18 Yn y dyddiau hynny fe tu375? Jwda at du375? Israel, a dnt ynghyd o dir y gogledd i'r tir y perais i'ch hynafiaid ei etifeddu.
19And as for me, I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee the pleasant land, the goodly inheritance of the hosts of the nations? And I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from following me.
19 "Dywedais, 'Sut y gosodaf di ymhlith y plant, i roi i ti dir dymunol, ac etifeddiaeth orau'r cenhedloedd?' A dywedais, 'Fe'm gelwi, "Fy nhad", ac ni throi ymaith oddi ar fy l.'
20Surely [as] a woman treacherously departeth from her companion, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith Jehovah.
20 Yn ddiau, fel y bydd gwraig yn anffyddlon i'w chymar, felly, du375? Israel, y buoch yn anffyddlon i mi," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
21A voice is heard upon the heights, the weeping supplications of the children of Israel; for they have perverted their way, they have forgotten Jehovah their God.
21 Clyw! Ar y moelydd clywir wylofain ac ymbil tu375? Israel, am iddynt wyro eu ffordd ac anghofio'r ARGLWYDD eu Duw.
22-- Return, backsliding children; I will heal your backslidings. ... Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art Jehovah our God.
22 "Dychwelwch, blant anffyddlon; iachf eich ysbryd anffyddlon." "Wele, fe ddown atat, oherwydd ti yw'r ARGLWYDD ein Duw.
23Truly in vain [is salvation looked for] from the hills, [and] the multitude of mountains; truly in Jehovah our God is the salvation of Israel.
23 Diau y daw oferedd o gyfeddach y bryniau a'r mynyddoedd, ond yn yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw y mae iachawdwriaeth Israel.
24But shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
24 Y mae'r gwarth wedi ysu llafur ein hynafiaid o'n hieuenctid: eu defaid a'u gwartheg, eu meibion a'u merched.
25We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us; for we have sinned against Jehovah our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not hearkened to the voice of Jehovah our God.
25 Gorweddwn yn ein gwarth, a'n cywilydd wedi ein hamdi. Yr ydym wedi pechu yn erbyn yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw, nyni a'n hynafiaid, o'n hieuenctid hyd y dydd heddiw, ac ni wrandawsom ar lais yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw."
