1This is the book of Adam's generations. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him.
1זה ספר תולדת אדם ביום ברא אלהים אדם בדמות אלהים עשה אתו׃
2Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
2זכר ונקבה בראם ויברך אתם ויקרא את שמם אדם ביום הבראם׃
3And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot [a son] in his likeness, after his image, and called his name Seth.
3ויחי אדם שלשים ומאת שנה ויולד בדמותו כצלמו ויקרא את שמו שת׃
4And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters.
4ויהיו ימי אדם אחרי הולידו את שת שמנה מאת שנה ויולד בנים ובנות׃
5And all the days of Adam that he lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.
5ויהיו כל ימי אדם אשר חי תשע מאות שנה ושלשים שנה וימת׃
6And Seth lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enosh.
6ויחי שת חמש שנים ומאת שנה ויולד את אנוש׃
7And Seth lived after he had begotten Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.
7ויחי שת אחרי הולידו את אנוש שבע שנים ושמנה מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות׃
8And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.
8ויהיו כל ימי שת שתים עשרה שנה ותשע מאות שנה וימת׃
9And Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Cainan.
9ויחי אנוש תשעים שנה ויולד את קינן׃
10And Enosh lived after he had begotten Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters.
10ויחי אנוש אחרי הולידו את קינן חמש עשרה שנה ושמנה מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות׃
11And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.
11ויהיו כל ימי אנוש חמש שנים ותשע מאות שנה וימת׃
12And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalaleel.
12ויחי קינן שבעים שנה ויולד את מהללאל׃
13And Cainan lived after he had begotten Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters.
13ויחי קינן אחרי הולידו את מהללאל ארבעים שנה ושמנה מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות׃
14And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.
14ויהיו כל ימי קינן עשר שנים ותשע מאות שנה וימת׃
15And Mahalaleel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared.
15ויחי מהללאל חמש שנים וששים שנה ויולד את ירד׃
16And Mahalaleel lived after he had begotten Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.
16ויחי מהללאל אחרי הולידו את ירד שלשים שנה ושמנה מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות׃
17And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died.
17ויהיו כל ימי מהללאל חמש ותשעים שנה ושמנה מאות שנה וימת׃
18And Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch.
18ויחי ירד שתים וששים שנה ומאת שנה ויולד את חנוך׃
19And Jared lived after he had begotten Enoch eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
19ויחי ירד אחרי הולידו את חנוך שמנה מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות׃
20And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.
20ויהיו כל ימי ירד שתים וששים שנה ותשע מאות שנה וימת׃
21And Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methushelah.
21ויחי חנוך חמש וששים שנה ויולד את מתושלח׃
22And Enoch walked with God after he had begotten Methushelah three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
22ויתהלך חנוך את האלהים אחרי הולידו את מתושלח שלש מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות׃
23And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.
23ויהי כל ימי חנוך חמש וששים שנה ושלש מאות שנה׃
24And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
24ויתהלך חנוך את האלהים ואיננו כי לקח אתו אלהים׃
25And Methushelah lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lemech.
25ויחי מתושלח שבע ושמנים שנה ומאת שנה ויולד את למך׃
26And Methushelah lived after he had begotten Lemech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters.
26ויחי מתושלח אחרי הולידו את למך שתים ושמונים שנה ושבע מאות שנה ויולד בנים ובנות׃
27And all the days of Methushelah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.
27ויהיו כל ימי מתושלח תשע וששים שנה ותשע מאות שנה וימת׃
28And Lemech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son.
28ויחי למך שתים ושמנים שנה ומאת שנה ויולד בן׃
29And he called his name Noah, saying, This [one] shall comfort us concerning our work and concerning the toil of our hands, because of the ground which Jehovah has cursed.
29ויקרא את שמו נח לאמר זה ינחמנו ממעשנו ומעצבון ידינו מן האדמה אשר אררה יהוה׃
30And Lemech lived after he had begotten Noah five hundred and ninety-five years, and begot sons and daughters.
30ויחי למך אחרי הולידו את נח חמש ותשעים שנה וחמש מאת שנה ויולד בנים ובנות׃
31And all the days of Lemech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died.
31ויהי כל ימי למך שבע ושבעים שנה ושבע מאות שנה וימת׃
32And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
32ויהי נח בן חמש מאות שנה ויולד נח את שם את חם ואת יפת׃
