1{To the chief Musician. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.} Thou hast been favourable, Jehovah, unto thy land; thou hast turned the captivity of Jacob:
1למנצח לבני קרח מזמור רצית יהוה ארצך שבת שבות יעקב׃
2Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people; thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.
2נשאת עון עמך כסית כל חטאתם סלה׃
3Thou hast withdrawn all thy wrath; thou hast turned from the fierceness of thine anger.
3אספת כל עברתך השיבות מחרון אפך׃
4Bring us back, O God of our salvation, and cause thine indignation toward us to cease.
4שובנו אלהי ישענו והפר כעסך עמנו׃
5Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger from generation to generation?
5הלעולם תאנף בנו תמשך אפך לדר ודר׃
6Wilt thou not revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?
6הלא אתה תשוב תחינו ועמך ישמחו בך׃
7Shew us thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, and grant us thy salvation.
7הראנו יהוה חסדך וישעך תתן לנו׃
8I will hear what ùGod, Jehovah, will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his godly ones: but let them not turn again to folly.
8אשמעה מה ידבר האל יהוה כי ידבר שלום אל עמו ואל חסידיו ואל ישובו לכסלה׃
9Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.
9אך קרוב ליראיו ישעו לשכן כבוד בארצנו׃
10Loving-kindness and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other:
10חסד ואמת נפגשו צדק ושלום נשקו׃
11Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from the heavens.
11אמת מארץ תצמח וצדק משמים נשקף׃
12Jehovah also will give what is good, and our land shall yield its increase.
12גם יהוה יתן הטוב וארצנו תתן יבולה׃
13Righteousness shall go before him, and shall set his footsteps on the way.
13צדק לפניו יהלך וישם לדרך פעמיו׃
