¹And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、

²Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not, which have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious house.

²「人の子よ、あなたは反逆の家の中にいる。彼らは見る目があるが見ず、聞く耳があるが聞かず、彼らは反逆の家である。

³And thou, son of man, prepare thee a captive's baggage, and go captive by day in their sight; and thou shalt go captive from thy place to another place in their sight. It may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.

³それゆえ、人の子よ、捕囚の荷物を整え、彼らの目の前で昼のうちに移れ、彼らの目の前であなたの所から他の所に移れ。彼らは反逆の家であるが、あるいは彼らは顧みるところがあろう。

⁴And bring forth thy baggage by day in their sight, as a captive's baggage, and thou thyself, go forth at even in their sight as they that go forth into captivity.

⁴あなたは、捕囚の荷物のようなあなたの荷物を、彼らの目の前で昼のうちに持ち出せ。そして捕囚に行くべき人々のように、彼らの目の前で夕べのうちに出て行け。

⁵Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby.

⁵すなわち彼らの目の前で壁に穴をあけ、そこから出て行け。

⁶In their sight shalt thou bear [it] upon [thy] shoulder, and carry it forth in the dark; thou shalt cover thy face, and thou shalt not see the ground: for I have appointed thee for a sign unto the house of Israel.

⁶あなたは彼らの目の前でその荷物を肩に負い、やみのうちにそれを運び出せ。あなたの顔をおおって地を見るな。わたしはあなたをしるしとなして、イスラエルの家に示すのだ」。

⁷And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my baggage by day, as a captive's baggage, and in the even I digged through the wall with my hand; I brought it forth in the dark, [and] bore it upon [my] shoulder, in their sight.

⁷そこでわたしは命じられたようにし、捕囚の荷物のような荷物を昼のうちに持ち出し、夕べにはわたしの手で壁に穴をあけ、やみのうちに彼らの目の前で、これを肩に負って運び出した。

⁸And in the morning the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

⁸次の朝、主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、

⁹Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou?

⁹「人の子よ、反逆の家であるイスラエルの家は、あなたに向かって、『何をしているのか』と言わなかったか。

¹⁰Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: This burden [concerneth] the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them.

¹⁰あなたは彼らに言いなさい、『主なる神はこう言われる、この託宣はエルサレムの君、およびその中にあるイスラエルの全家にかかわるものである』と。

¹¹Say, I am your sign: as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall go into exile, into captivity.

¹¹また言いなさい、『わたしはあなたがたのしるしである。わたしがしたとおりに彼らもされる。彼らはとりこにされて移される』と。

¹²And the prince that is among them shall bear upon [his] shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth; they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby; he shall cover his face, that he see not the land with [his] eyes.

¹²彼らのうちの君は、やみのうちにその荷物を肩に載せて出て行く。彼は壁に穴をあけて、そこから出て行く。彼は顔をおおって、自分の目でこの地を見ない。

¹³And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; but he shall not see it, and there shall he die.

¹³わたしはわたしの網を彼の上に打ちかける。彼はわたしのわなにかかる。わたしは彼をカルデヤびとの地のバビロンに引いて行く。しかし彼はそれを見ないで、そこで死ぬであろう。

¹⁴And I will scatter toward every wind all that are about him to help him, and all his troops; and I will draw out the sword after them.

¹⁴またすべて彼の周囲にいて彼を助ける者および彼の軍隊を、わたしは四方に散らし、つるぎを抜いてそのあとを追う。

¹⁵And they shall know that I [am] Jehovah when I shall scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries.

¹⁵わたしが彼らを諸国民の中に散らし、国々にまき散らすとき、彼らはわたしが主であることを知る。

¹⁶But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the nations whither they shall come; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

¹⁶ただし、わたしは彼らのうちに、わずかの者を残して、つるぎと、ききんと、疫病を免れさせ、彼らがおこなったもろもろの憎むべきことを、彼らが行く国びとの中に告白させよう。そして彼らはわたしが主であることを知るようになる」。

¹⁷And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

¹⁷主の言葉がまたわたしに臨んだ、

¹⁸Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with anxiety;

¹⁸「人の子よ、震えてあなたのパンを食べ、おののきと恐れとをもって水を飲め。

¹⁹and say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with anxiety, and drink their water with astonishment, because her land shall be left desolate of all that is in it, for the violence of all them that dwell therein.

¹⁹そしてこの地の民について言え、主なる神はイスラエルの地のエルサレムの民についてこう言われる、彼らは恐れをもってそのパンを食べ、驚きをもってその水を飲むようになる。これはその地が、すべてその中に住む者の暴虐のために衰え、荒れ地となるからである。

²⁰And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be a desolation; and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

²⁰人の住んでいた町々は荒れはて、地は荒塚となる。そしてあなたがたは、わたしが主であることを知るようになる」。

²¹And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

²¹主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、

²²Son of man, what is that proverb which ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days shall be prolonged, and every vision faileth?

²²「人の子よ、イスラエルの地について、あなたがたが『日は延び、すべての幻はむなしくなった』という、このことわざはなんであるか。

²³Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the accomplishment of every vision.

²³それゆえ、彼らに言え、『主なる神はこう言われる、わたしはこのことわざをやめさせ、彼らが再びイスラエルで、これをことわざとしないようにする』と。しかし、あなたは彼らに言え、『日とすべての幻の実現とは近づいた』と。

²⁴For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination in the midst of the house of Israel.

²⁴イスラエルの家のうちには、もはやむなしい幻も、偽りの占いもなくなる。

²⁵For I [am] Jehovah; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed, it shall be no more deferred. For in your days, O rebellious house, will I speak the word and will perform it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

²⁵しかし主なるわたしは、わが語るべきことを語り、それは必ず成就する。決して延びることはない。ああ、反逆の家よ、あなたの日にわたしはこれを語り、これを成就すると、主なる神は言われる」。

²⁶And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

²⁶主の言葉がまたわたしに臨んだ、

²⁷Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days, and he prophesieth of times that are far off.

²⁷「人の子よ、見よ、イスラエルの家は言う、『彼の見る幻は、なお多くの日の後の事である。彼が預言することは遠い後の時のことである』と。それゆえ、彼らに言え、主なる神はこう言われる、わたしの言葉はもはや延びない。わたしの語る言葉は成就すると、主なる神は言われる」。

²⁸Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: There shall none of my words be deferred any more, but the word that I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord Jehovah.

²⁸それゆえ、彼らに言え、主なる神はこう言われる、わたしの言葉はもはや延びない。わたしの語る言葉は成就すると、主なる神は言われる」。
