¹This is the book of Adam's generations. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him.

¹アダムの系図は次のとおりである。神が人を創造された時、神をかたどって造り、

²Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

²彼らを男と女とに創造された。彼らが創造された時、神は彼らを祝福して、その名をアダムと名づけられた。

³And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot [a son] in his likeness, after his image, and called his name Seth.

³アダムは百三十歳になって、自分にかたどり、自分のかたちのような男の子を生み、その名をセツと名づけた。

⁴And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters.

⁴アダムがセツを生んで後、生きた年は八百年であって、ほかに男子と女子を生んだ。

⁵And all the days of Adam that he lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.

⁵アダムの生きた年は合わせて九百三十歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。

⁶And Seth lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enosh.

⁶セツは百五歳になって、エノスを生んだ。

⁷And Seth lived after he had begotten Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.

⁷セツはエノスを生んだ後、八百七年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。

⁸And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.

⁸セツの年は合わせて九百十二歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。

⁹And Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Cainan.

⁹エノスは九十歳になって、カイナンを生んだ。

¹⁰And Enosh lived after he had begotten Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters.

¹⁰エノスはカイナンを生んだ後、八百十五年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。

¹¹And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.

¹¹エノスの年は合わせて九百五歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。

¹²And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalaleel.

¹²カイナンは七十歳になって、マハラレルを生んだ。

¹³And Cainan lived after he had begotten Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters.

¹³カイナンはマハラレルを生んだ後、八百四十年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。

¹⁴And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.

¹⁴カイナンの年は合わせて九百十歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。

¹⁵And Mahalaleel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared.

¹⁵マハラレルは六十五歳になって、ヤレドを生んだ。

¹⁶And Mahalaleel lived after he had begotten Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.

¹⁶マハラレルはヤレドを生んだ後、八百三十年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。

¹⁷And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died.

¹⁷マハラレルの年は合わせて八百九十五歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。

¹⁸And Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch.

¹⁸ヤレドは百六十二歳になって、エノクを生んだ。

¹⁹And Jared lived after he had begotten Enoch eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.

¹⁹ヤレドはエノクを生んだ後、八百年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。

²⁰And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.

²⁰ヤレドの年は合わせて九百六十二歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。

²¹And Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methushelah.

²¹エノクは六十五歳になって、メトセラを生んだ。

²²And Enoch walked with God after he had begotten Methushelah three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.

²²エノクはメトセラを生んだ後、三百年、神とともに歩み、男子と女子を生んだ。

²³And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.

²³エノクの年は合わせて三百六十五歳であった。

²⁴And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

²⁴エノクは神とともに歩み、神が彼を取られたので、いなくなった。

²⁵And Methushelah lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lemech.

²⁵メトセラは百八十七歳になって、レメクを生んだ。

²⁶And Methushelah lived after he had begotten Lemech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters.

²⁶メトセラはレメクを生んだ後、七百八十二年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。

²⁷And all the days of Methushelah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.

²⁷メトセラの年は合わせて九百六十九歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。

²⁸And Lemech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son.

²⁸レメクは百八十二歳になって、男の子を生み、

²⁹And he called his name Noah, saying, This [one] shall comfort us concerning our work and concerning the toil of our hands, because of the ground which Jehovah has cursed.

²⁹「この子こそ、主が地をのろわれたため、骨折り働くわれわれを慰めるもの」と言って、その名をノアと名づけた。

³⁰And Lemech lived after he had begotten Noah five hundred and ninety-five years, and begot sons and daughters.

³⁰レメクはノアを生んだ後、五百九十五年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。

³¹And all the days of Lemech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died.

³¹レメクの年は合わせて七百七十七歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。ノアは五百歳になって、セム、ハム、ヤペテを生んだ。

³²And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

³²ノアは五百歳になって、セム、ハム、ヤペテを生んだ。
