¹{A Song, a Psalm of David.} My heart is fixed, O God: I will sing, yea, I will sing psalms, even [with] my glory.

¹神よ、わが心は定まりました。わが心は定まりました。わたしは歌い、かつほめたたえます。わが魂よ、さめよ。

²Awake, lute and harp: I will wake the dawn.

²立琴よ、琴よ、さめよ。わたしはしののめを呼びさまします。

³I will give thee thanks among the peoples, O Jehovah; of thee will I sing psalms among the nations:

³主よ、わたしはもろもろの民の中であなたに感謝し、もろもろの国の中であなたをほめたたえます。

⁴For thy loving-kindness is great above the heavens, and thy truth is unto the clouds.

⁴あなたのいつくしみは大きく、天にまでおよびあなたのまことは雲にまで及ぶ。

⁵Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God, and thy glory above all the earth.

⁵神よ、みずからを天よりも高くし、みさかえを全地の上にあげてください。

⁶That thy beloved ones may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.

⁶あなたの愛される者が助けを得るために、右のみ手をもって救をほどこし、わたしに答えてください。

⁷God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

⁷神はその聖所で言われた、「わたしは大いなる喜びをもってシケムを分かち、スコテの谷を分かち与えよう。

⁸Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine, and Ephraim is the strength of my head; Judah is my law-giver;

⁹Moab is my wash-pot; upon Edom will I cast my sandal; over Philistia will I shout aloud.

⁹モアブはわたしの足だらい、エドムにはわたしのくつを投げる。ペリシテについては、かちどきをあげる」。

¹⁰Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me unto Edom?

¹⁰だれがわたしを堅固な町に至らせるであろうか。だれがわたしをエドムに導くであろうか。

¹¹[Wilt] not [thou], O God, who didst cast us off? and didst not go forth, O God, with our armies?

¹¹神よ、あなたはわれらを捨てられたではありませんか。神よ、あなたはわれらの軍勢と共に出て行かれません。

¹²Give us help from trouble; for vain is man's deliverance.

¹²われらに助けを与えて、あだにむかわせてください。人の助けはむなしいからです。われらは神によって勇ましく働きます。われらのあだを踏みにじる者は神だからです。

¹³Through God we shall do valiantly; and he it is that will tread down our adversaries.
