¹{A Song of degrees.} I lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: whence shall my help come?

¹わたしは山にむかって目をあげる。わが助けは、どこから来るであろうか。

²My help [cometh] from Jehovah, who made the heavens and the earth.

²わが助けは、天と地を造られた主から来る。

³He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

³主はあなたの足の動かされるのをゆるされない。あなたを守る者はまどろむことがない。

⁴Behold, he that keepeth Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

⁴見よ、イスラエルを守る者はまどろむこともなく、眠ることもない。

⁵Jehovah is thy keeper, Jehovah is thy shade upon thy right hand;

⁵主はあなたを守る者、主はあなたの右の手をおおう陰である。

⁶The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

⁶昼は太陽があなたを撃つことなく、夜は月があなたを撃つことはない。

⁷Jehovah will keep thee from all evil; he will keep thy soul.

⁷主はあなたを守って、すべての災を免れさせ、またあなたの命を守られる。主は今からとこしえに至るまで、あなたの出ると入るとを守られるであろう。

⁸Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming in, from henceforth and for evermore.

⁸主は今からとこしえに至るまで、あなたの出ると入るとを守られるであろう。
