¹{A Song of degrees. Of David.} I rejoiced when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of Jehovah.

¹人々がわたしにむかって「われらは主の家に行こう」と言ったとき、わたしは喜んだ。

²Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

²エルサレムよ、われらの足はあなたの門のうちに立っている。

³Jerusalem, which art built as a city that is compact together,

³しげくつらなった町のように建てられているエルサレムよ、

⁴Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of Jah, a testimony to Israel, to give thanks unto the name of Jehovah.

⁴もろもろの部族すなわち主の部族が、そこに上って来て主のみ名に感謝することは、イスラエルのおきてである。

⁵For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

⁵そこにさばきの座、ダビデの家の王座が設けられてあった。

⁶Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

⁶エルサレムのために平安を祈れ、「エルサレムを愛する者は栄え、

⁷Peace be within thy bulwarks, prosperity within thy palaces.

⁷その城壁のうちに平安があり、もろもろの殿のうちに安全があるように」と。

⁸For my brethren and companions' sakes I will say, Peace be within thee!

⁸わが兄弟および友のために、わたしは「エルサレムのうちに平安があるように」と言い、われらの神、主の家のために、わたしはエルサレムのさいわいを求めるであろう。

⁹Because of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek thy good.

⁹われらの神、主の家のために、わたしはエルサレムのさいわいを求めるであろう。
