¹{A Psalm of David.} Give unto Jehovah, ye sons of the mighty ones, give unto Jehovah glory and strength;

¹神の子らよ、主に帰せよ、栄光と力とを主に帰せよ。

²Give unto Jehovah the glory of his name; worship Jehovah in holy splendour.

²み名の栄光を主に帰せよ、聖なる装いをもって主を拝め。

³The voice of Jehovah is upon the waters: the ùGod of glory thundereth, -- Jehovah upon great waters.

³主のみ声は水の上にあり、栄光の神は雷をとどろかせ、主は大水の上におられる。

⁴The voice of Jehovah is powerful; the voice of Jehovah is full of majesty.

⁴主のみ声は力があり、主のみ声は威厳がある。

⁵The voice of Jehovah breaketh cedars; yea, Jehovah breaketh the cedars of Lebanon:

⁵主のみ声は香柏を折り砕き、主はレバノンの香柏を折り砕かれる。

⁶And he maketh them to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young buffalo.

⁶主はレバノンを子牛のように踊らせ、シリオンを若い野牛のように踊らされる。

⁷The voice of Jehovah cleaveth out flames of fire.

⁷主のみ声は炎をひらめかす。

⁸The voice of Jehovah shaketh the wilderness; Jehovah shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

⁸主のみ声は荒野を震わせ、主はカデシの荒野を震わされる。

⁹The voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds to calve, and layeth bare the forests; and in his temple doth every one say, Glory!

⁹主のみ声はかしの木を巻きあげ、また林を裸にする。その宮で、すべてのものは呼ばわって言う、「栄光」と。

¹⁰Jehovah sitteth upon the flood; yea, Jehovah sitteth as king for ever.

¹⁰主は洪水の上に座し、主はみくらに座して、とこしえに王であらせられる。主はその民に力を与え、平安をもってその民を祝福されるであろう。

¹¹Jehovah will give strength unto his people; Jehovah will bless his people with peace.
