¹{To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of the servant of Jehovah; of David.} The transgression of the wicked uttereth within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.

¹とがは悪しき者にむかい、その心のうちに言う。その目の前に神を恐れる恐れはない。

²For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, [even] when his iniquity is found to be hateful.

²彼は自分の不義があらわされないため、また憎まれないために、みずからその目でおもねる。

³The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, to do good.

³その口の言葉はよこしまと欺きである。彼は知恵を得ることと、善を行う事とをやめた。

⁴He deviseth wickedness up on his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good: he abhorreth not evil.

⁴彼はその床の上でよこしまな事をたくらみ、よからぬ道に身をおいて、悪をきらわない。

⁵Jehovah, thy loving-kindness is in the heavens, and thy faithfulness [reacheth] unto the clouds.

⁵主よ、あなたのいつくしみは天にまで及び、あなたのまことは雲にまで及ぶ。

⁶Thy righteousness is like the high mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: thou, Jehovah, preservest man and beast.

⁶あなたの義は神の山のごとく、あなたのさばきは大きな淵のようだ。主よ、あなたは人と獣とを救われる。

⁷How precious is thy loving-kindness, O God! So the sons of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.

⁷神よ、あなたのいつくしみはいかに尊いことでしょう。人の子らはあなたの翼のかげに避け所を得、

⁸They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou wilt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

⁸あなたの家の豊かなのによって飽き足りる。あなたはその楽しみの川の水を彼らに飲ませられる。

⁹For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

⁹いのちの泉はあなたのもとにあり、われらはあなたの光によって光を見る。

¹⁰Continue thy loving-kindness unto them that know thee, and thy righteousness to the upright in heart;

¹⁰どうか、あなたを知る者に絶えずいつくしみを施し、心の直き者に絶えず救を施してください。

¹¹Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.

¹¹高ぶる者の足がわたしを踏み、悪しき者の手がわたしを追い出すことをゆるさないでください。悪を行う者はそこに倒れ、彼らは打ち伏せられて、起きあがることはできない。

¹²There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and are not able to rise.
