¹Moreover Elihu answered and said,

¹Ary mbola niteny ihany Eliho ka nanao hoe:

²Hear my words, ye wise [men]; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

²Mandrenesa ny teniko, ianareo olon-kendry; Ary mihainoa ahy, ianareo manam-pahalalana.

³For the ear trieth words, as the palate tasteth food.

³Fa ny sofina no mamantatra teny, Ary ny vava no manandrana hanina.[Heb. lanilany]

⁴Let us choose for ourselves what is right; let us know among ourselves what is good!

⁴Koa aoka izay rariny no hodinihintsika, ary aoka hiara-mamantatra izay tsara isika.

⁵For Job hath said, I am righteous, and ùGod hath taken away my judgment:

⁵Fa Joba efa nanao hoe: Marina aho, saingy nesorin'Andriamanitra tamiko ny rariny;

⁶Should I lie against my right? My wound is incurable without transgression.

⁶Marina ny ahy, nefa ampandaingainy aho; Mahafaty ny zana-tsipìka mitsatoka amiko, na dia tsy manam-pahadisoana aza aho.

⁷What man is like Job? he drinketh up scorning like water,

⁷Aiza moa no misy lehilahy tahaka an'i Joba, izay manaram-po amin'ny famingavingana toy ny fisotro rano.

⁸And goeth in company with workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.

⁸Ary tonga naman'ny mpanao ratsy sady miara-mandeha amin'ny ratsy fanahy?

⁹For he hath said, It profiteth not a man if he delight himself in God.

⁹Fa hoy izy: Tsy mahasoa ny olona ny mihavana amin'Andriamanitra.

¹⁰Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: Far be wickedness from ùGod, and wrong from the Almighty!

¹⁰Koa amin'izany mihainoa ahy, ianareo manam-panahy: Lavitra an'Andriamanitra ny hanao ratsy! Ary lavitra ny Tsitoha ny hanao meloka!

¹¹For a man's work will he render to him, and cause every one to find according to [his] way.

¹¹Fa ny nataon'ny olona ihany no ampanodiaviny azy, ka mamaly ny olona rehetra araka ny lalany avy Izy.

¹²Yea, surely, ùGod acteth not wickedly, and the Almighty perverteth not judgment.

¹²Eny tokoa, Andriamanitra tsy manao ratsy mihitsy, ary ny Tsitoha tsy mba mamadika ny rariny.

¹³Who hath entrusted to him the earth? and who hath disposed the whole world?

¹³Iza moa no nanendry Azy ho Mpiadidy ny tany? Ary iza no nanorina izao tontolo izao?

¹⁴If he only thought of himself, [and] gathered unto him his spirit and his breath,

¹⁴Raha tàhiny ny tenany ihany no heveriny, ka hangoniny ho ao aminy ny fanahiny sy ny fofonainy,

¹⁵All flesh would expire together, and man would return to the dust.

¹⁵Dia hiala avokoa ny ain'ny nofo rehetra, ary hiverina amin'ny vovoka ny olona.

¹⁶If now [thou hast] understanding, hear this: give ear to the voice of my words!

¹⁶Raha manam-pahalalana ianao, dia mandrenesa izao, ka mihainoa ny teniko

¹⁷Should he that hateth right indeed govern? and wilt thou condemn the All-just?

¹⁷Moa mahay mifehy va izay tsy tia rariny? Ary Ilay marina sady mahery va no hohelohinao?

¹⁸Shall one say to a king, Belial? to nobles, Wicked?

¹⁸(Mety va ny miteny amin'ny mpanjaka hoe: Olom-poana ianao! Ary amin'ny zanak'andriana: Ry ilay ratsy!),

¹⁹[How then to him] that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich man more than the poor? for they are all the work of his hands.

¹⁹Dia Ilay tsy mizaha ny tavan'ny lehibe, ary tsy manaja ny ambony mihoatra noho ny ambany, satria samy asan'ny tànany avokoa izy rehetra.

²⁰In a moment they die, even at midnight the people are convulsed and pass away; and the strong are taken away without hand.

²⁰Maty amin'ny indray mipi-maso monja amin'ny mamatonalina ireny; Eny, ringana ny olona ka tsy ao intsony; Ary ny mahery dia lasa tsy esorin-tanana.

²¹For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his steps.

²¹Fa ny mason'Andriamanitra dia mijery ny alehan'ny olona, ary mahita ny diany rehetra Izy.

²²There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

²²Tsy misy aizina na alim-pito, Izay hieren'ny mpanao ratsy.

²³For he doth not long consider a man, to bring him before ùGod in judgment.

²³Fa Andriamanitra tsy mba miandry aloha vao mandinika ny olona Izay tonga hotsaraina eo anatrehany.

²⁴He breaketh in pieces mighty men without inquiry, and setteth others in their stead;

²⁴Manorotoro ny olona mahery Izy, na dia tsy manadina aza, ka manangana olon-kafa hisolo azy.

²⁵Since he knoweth their actions; and he overthroweth [them] in the night, and they are crushed.

²⁵Koa hita amin'izany fa fantany ny asan'ireo, ka dia mamono azy amin'ny alina ho torotoro Izy.

²⁶He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others,

²⁶Tehafiny tanana tahaka ny fanao amin'ny ratsy fanahy ireo eo imason'ny vahoaka.[Na: Mamely azy toy ny famely ny ratsy fanahy Izy]

²⁷Because they have turned back from him, and would consider none of his ways;

²⁷Izao no nialan'ireo tamin'Andriamanitra ka tsy nitandremany ny lalany akory,

²⁸So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.

²⁸Dia ny mba hahatonga ny fitarainan'ny malahelo eo anatrehany ka hampandre Azy ny fitarainan'ny ory.

²⁹When he giveth quietness, who then will disturb? and when he hideth [his] face, who shall behold him? and this towards a nation, or towards a man alike;

²⁹Mangina Izy, ka iza no mahay manameloka? Ary manafin-tava Izy (ka iza no mahajery Azy?), na amin'ny firenena, na amin'ny olona tsirairay,[Na: Manome fiadanana]

³⁰That the ungodly man reign not, that the people be not ensnared.

³⁰Mba tsy hanjakan'ny ratsy fanahy, ary tsy ho voafandrika ny vahoaka.

³¹For hath he said unto ùGod, I bear [chastisement], I will not offend;

³¹Fa moa mba efa nisy niteny tamin'Andriamanitra va nanao hoe: Efa nanandra-tena aho ka tsy hanao ratsy intsony;[Na: nijaly]

³²What I see not, teach thou me; if I have done wrong, I will do so no more?

³²Izay tsy hitako mba ampianaro ahy; Raha nanao ratsy aho, dia tsy hanao intsony?

³³Shall he recompense according to thy mind? for thou hast refused [his judgment]; for thou so choosest, and not I; speak then what thou knowest.

³³Moa araka ny hevitrao va no hamaliany ny ataon'ny olona, no efa nandà ianao? Fa ianao no mifidy, fa tsy izaho, koa izay fantatrao no ambarao.[Na: Moa araka ny hevitrao va no hamaliany ny olona Fa efa nandà, ka dia ianao no tsy maintsy mifidy, fa tsy izaho]

³⁴Men of understanding will say to me, and a wise man who heareth me:

³⁴Ny olona manam-panahy hilaza amiko, ary ny olon-kendry izay mihaino ahy hanao hoe:

³⁵Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were not with intelligence.

³⁵Miteny tsy amim-pahalalana Joba, ary ny teniny tsy amim-pahendrena.

³⁶Would that Job may be tried unto the end, because of [his] answers after the manner of evil men!

³⁶Enga anie ka hizahan-toetra mandrakariva Joba noho ny famaliana ataony araka ny fanaon'ny ratsy fanahy!Fa ampiany fihaikana koa ny fahotany; Miteha-tanana eto amintsika izy ka manao teny maro ho enti-miady amin'Andriamanitra.

³⁷For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth [his hands] among us, and multiplieth his words against ùGod.
