¹And Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,

¹[Ny teny navalin'i Jehovah an'i Joba] Ary teo anatin'ny tafio-drivotra Jehovah dia namaly an'i Joba ka nanao hoe:

²Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

²Iza moa izato manao izay hahamaizina ny fisainana amin'ny teny tsy misy fahalalana?

³Gird up now thy loins like a man; and I will demand of thee, and inform thou me.

³Misikina ary tahaka ny lehilahy; Fa hanadina anao Aho, ka valio:

⁴Where wast thou when I founded the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding.

⁴Taiza ary ianao, fony Aho nanorina ny tany? Ambarao, raha hainao.

⁵Who set the measures thereof -- if thou knowest? or who stretched a line upon it?

⁵Iza ary no nandidy izay ho refiny, raha fantatrao? Ary iza no nanenjana ny famolaina teo aminy?

⁶Whereupon were the foundations thereof sunken? or who laid its corner-stone,

⁶Teo amin'inona no nanorenana ny vodi-andriny, ary iza no nametraka ny vato fehizorony,

⁷When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

⁷Raha niara-nihira ny kintan'ny maraina, ary nihoby avokoa ireo zanak'Andriamanitra?

⁸And who shut up the sea with doors, when it burst forth, issuing out of the womb?

⁸Ary iza no nanao varavarana misakana ny ranomasina, raha nibosesika nivoaka avy tany am-bohoka izy,

⁹When I made the cloud its garment, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it;

⁹Raha nanao ny rahona ho fitafiany Aho ary ny aizim-pito ho fonony,

¹⁰When I cut out for it my boundary, and set bars and doors,

¹⁰Ary nandidy ny ho fetrany sady nanisy hidy sy varavarana

¹¹And said, Hitherto shalt thou come and no further, and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?

¹¹Ka nanao hoe: Hatreto no azonao androsoana ka tsy hihoatra, ary eto no hampijanonana ny fisafoaky ny onjanao?

¹²Hast thou since thy days commanded the morning? hast thou caused the dawn to know its place,

¹²Hatrizay niainanao moa mba efa nandidy ny maraina va ianao? Efa notoroanao ny fitoerany va ny fipoak'andro,

¹³That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, and the wicked might be shaken out of it?

¹³Mba horaisiny ny sisin'ny tany. Ka hakopakopany hiala ny ratsy fanahy?

¹⁴It is changed like the signet-clay; and [all things] stand forth as in a garment:

¹⁴Ary hiova tahaka ny tanimanga tombohin-kase ny endriny, ka hiseho tahaka ny lamba misoratra ny tarehiny, [Heb. fitafiana]

¹⁵And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the uplifted arm is broken.

¹⁵Ary hosakanana ny fahazavan'ny ratsy fanahy, ka ho tapaka ny sandry naingaina.

¹⁶Hast thou entered as far as the springs of the sea? and hast thou walked in the recesses of the deep?

¹⁶Moa efa niditra hatrany amin'ny loharanon-dranomasina va ianao, ary efa nandehandeha tany amin'ny fanambanin'ny lalina?

¹⁷Have the gates of death been revealed unto thee? and hast thou seen the gates of the shadow of death?

¹⁷Moa efa naharihary taminao va ny vavahadin'ny fahafatesana? Ary efa hitanao va ny vavahadin'ny aloky ny fahafatesana?

¹⁸Hath thine understanding compassed the breadths of the earth? Declare if thou knowest it all.

¹⁸Moa efa voadinikao ny hatrany amin'ny fahalalahan'ny tany? Ambarao ary, raha fantatrao izany rehetra izany.

¹⁹Where is the way to where light dwelleth? and the darkness, where is its place,

¹⁹Aiza ary no lalana ho any amin'ny fonenan'ny mazava? Ary aiza no fitoeran'ny maizina?

²⁰That thou shouldest take it to its bound, and that thou shouldest know the paths to its house?

²⁰Mba hitondranao izany ho amin'ny faran'ny alehany, ary ho fantatrao ny lalana ho any an-tranony.

²¹Thou knowest, for thou wast then born, and the number of thy days is great!

²¹Eny, fantatrao mantsy izany, satria efa teraka ianao tamin'izay, ary maro ny isan'ny andronao!

²²Hast thou entered into the storehouses of the snow, and hast thou seen the treasuries of the hail,

²²Moa efa niditra tany amin'ny firaketana ny oram-panala va ianao? Ary efa hitanao va ny firaketana ny havandra,

²³Which I have reserved for the time of distress, for the day of battle and war?

²³Izay voatahiriko ho amin'ny andro fahoriana, dia ny andro misy ady sy tafika?

²⁴By what way is the light parted, [and] the east wind scattered upon the earth?

²⁴Aiza moa no lalana izarazarana ny mazava sy ielezan'ny rivotra avy any atsinanana ho etỳ ambonin'ny tany?

²⁵Who hath divided a channel for the rain-flood, and a way for the thunder's flash;

²⁵Iza moa no nihady lalan-drano ho an'ny ranonorana mirotsaka be, sy lalan-kaleha ho an'ny helatry ny kotrokorana,

²⁶To cause it to rain on the earth, where no one is; on the wilderness wherein there is not a man;

²⁶Handatsaka ranonorana ambonin'ny tany izay tsy itoeran'olona, dia any amin'ny efitra tsy misy mponina,

²⁷To satisfy the desolate and waste [ground], and to cause the sprout of the grass to spring forth?

²⁷Mba hahavonto ny efitra sy ny tany foana, ary hampitsimoka ny ahitra vao mitsiry?

²⁸Hath the rain a father? or who begetteth the drops of dew?

²⁸Manan-dray va ny ranonorana? Ary iza kosa no miteraka ny ranon'ando?

²⁹Out of whose womb cometh the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who bringeth it forth?

²⁹Kibon'iza moa no nihavian'ny ranomandry? Ary ny vongam-panala avy amin'ny lanitra, iza no niteraka azy?

³⁰When the waters lie hidden as in stone, and the face of the deep holdeth fast together.

³⁰Tonga mafy toy ny vato ny rano, Ary mitambatra ny fanambonin'ny lalina.

³¹Canst thou fasten the bands of the Pleiades, or loosen the cords of Orion?

³¹Mahavona ny kofehin'ny Ikotokelimiadilaona va ianao, ary mahavaha ny Telonohorefy?

³²Dost thou bring forth the constellations each in its season? or dost thou guide the Bear with her sons?

³²Mahavoaka ny Mazarota amin'ny fotoany va ianao? Ary mahatondra ny Bera mbamin'ny zanany va ianao? [Anaran-kintana; ny Zôdiaka(?)]

³³Knowest thou the ordinances of the heavens? dost thou determine their rule over the earth?

³³Fantatrao va ny lalàn'ny lanitra? Ary manendry ny fanapahan'ireny ny tany va ianao?

³⁴Dost thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that floods of waters may cover thee?

³⁴Mahasandratra ny feonao ho amin'ny rahona matevina va ianao, Mba hanafotra anao ny rano mandriaka?

³⁵Dost thou send forth lightnings that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?

³⁵Mahay mandefa ny helatra va ianao, ka ho avy ireo hilaza aminao hoe: Indreto izahay?

³⁶Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the mind?

³⁶Iza moa no nanao ny rahona matevina ho fitoeram-pahendrena, Ary irery miseho erỳ an-danitra ho fampisehoana ny fahalalana? [Na: Iza no nanisy fahalalana ao am-pon'ny olona? Ary iza no nanome fahalalana ho ao an-tsaina?]

³⁷Who numbereth the clouds with wisdom? or who poureth out the bottles of the heavens,

³⁷Iza moa no manam-pahendrena mahisa ny rahom-potsy manify? Ary iza no mahatankina ny fitoeran-dranon'ny lanitra, [Heb. siny hoditra]

³⁸When the dust runneth as into a molten mass, and the clods cleave fast together?

³⁸Hitambaran'ny vovoka ho dilatra sy hivonganany ho bainga?

³⁹Dost thou hunt the prey for the lioness, and dost thou satisfy the appetite of the young lions,

³⁹Mahay mihaza toha ho an'ny liom-bavy va ianao, sy mahafaka ny fahalianan'ny liona tanora,

⁴⁰When they crouch in [their] dens, [and] abide in the thicket to lie in wait?

⁴⁰Raha mamitsaka ao amin'ny fitoerany izy ary manotrika ao amin'ny kirihitrala?Iza moa no manome hanina ny goaika, raha mitaraina amin'Andriamanitra ny zanany ka mirenireny tsy mahita hanina?

⁴¹Who provideth for the raven his food, when his young ones cry unto ùGod, [and] they wander for lack of meat?

⁴¹Iza moa no manome hanina ny goaika, raha mitaraina amin'Andriamanitra ny zanany ka mirenireny tsy mahita hanina?
