1And Job answered and said,
1[Ny teny navalin'i Joba] Dia namaly Joba ka nanao hoe:
2Oh that my grief were thoroughly weighed, and all my calamity laid in the balances!
2Enga anie ka holanjaina tokoa ny fahasosorako, ka hampifandaniaina amin'ny mizana izy sy ny fahoriako!
3For now it would be heavier than the sand of the seas; therefore my words are vehement.
3Fa ankehitriny mavesatra noho ny fasika any an-dranomasina ny fahoriako, koa dia nirediredy aho.
4For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, their poison drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of +God are arrayed against me.
4Fa ny zana-tsipiky ny Tsitoha mitsatoka amiko, ka mifoka ny poizina avy aminy ny fanahiko; Ary ny fampitahorana Andriamanitra milahatra hamely ahy.
5Doth the wild ass bray by the grass? loweth an ox over his fodder?
5Maneno va ny boriki-dia, raha eo amin'ny vilona? Na mimàmà va ny omby, raha eo amin'ny fihinany?
6Shall that which is insipid be eaten without salt? Is there any taste in the white of an egg?
6Azo hanina va ny matsatso, raha tsy asian-tsira? Na mba misy tsirony va ny tafotsin'atody? [Na: ranon-tsikobonkobon-danitra]
7What my soul refuseth to touch, that is as my loathsome food.
7Ny zavatra izay nolaviko tsy hotendrena, dia ireny no tsy maintsy haniko, na dia maharikoriko ahy aza.
8Oh that I might have my request, and that +God would grant my desire!
8Enga anie ka ho azoko izay angatahiko, ary homen'Andriamanitra ahy anie izay iriko!
9And that it would please +God to crush me, that he would let loose his hand and cut me off!
9Ka ho sitrak'Andriamanitra anie ny hanorotoro ahy! Eny, halefany anie ny tànany ka hahamaito ny aiko,
10Then should I yet have comfort; and in the pain which spareth not I would rejoice that I have not denied the words of the Holy One.
10Dia hahita fiononana amin'izany aho ka hiravoravo na dia amin'ny fangirifiriana tsy mifaditrovana aza, satria tsy nandà ny tenin'ny Iray Masina aho.
11What is my strength, that I should hope? and what is mine end, that I should have patience?
11Inona moa ny heriko, no hanantena aho? Ary hanao ahoana moa ny farako, no hanindry fo aho? [Na: hanalava ny androko]
12Is my strength the strength of stones? is my flesh of brass?
12Herim-bato va ny heriko? Na varahina va ny nofoko?
13Is it not that there is no help in me, and soundness is driven away from me?
13Tsy efa foana va ny hery ho entiko mamonjy tena, ary tsy efa nakifika hiala amiko va ny faharetana?
14For him that is fainting kindness [is meet] from his friend; or he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.
14Izay efa mivarahontsana dia tokony hiantran'ny sakaizany. Fandrao mahafoy ny fahatahorana ny Tsitoha izy.
15My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a stream, as the channel of streams which pass away,
15Ny rahalahiko mampihambo manana ahy tahaka ny ranotrambo, dia tahaka ny mason-drano any an-dohasahan-driaka, izay malaky ritra,
16Which are turbid by reason of the ice, in which the snow hideth itself:
16Izay mainty azon'ny ranomandry Sady iafenan'ny oram-panala;
17At the time they diminish, they are dried up; when heat affecteth them, they vanish from their place:
17Fa raha taninin'ny hainandro izy, dia levona; raha maina ny andro, dia ritra eo amin'ny fitoerany izy;
18They wind about in the paths of their course, they go off into the waste and perish.
18Mivilivily no fandehany tankina izy ka levona.
19The caravans of Tema looked, the companies of Sheba counted on them:
19Ny antokon'i Tema mitazana, ny andian'i Sheba manantena azy;
20They are ashamed at their hope; they come thither, and are confounded.
20Very hevitra ireo, satria samy nanampo; tonga teo izy, kanjo nangaihay.
21So now ye are nothing; ye see a terrible object and are afraid.
21Fa ankehitriny efa tsinontsinona ianareo; Nahita ny fahoriana ianareo ka raiki-tahotra.
22Did I say, Bring unto me, and make me a present from your substance?
22Moa aho va efa nanao hoe: Omeo aho, ka mahafoiza zavatra ho ahy amin'ny fanananareo,
23Or, rescue me from the hand of the oppressor, and redeem me from the hand of the violent?
23Ary vonjeo amin'ny tanan'ny fahavalo aho, ka afaho amin'ny tanan'ny mpitohatoha?
24Teach me, and I will hold my tongue; and cause me to understand wherein I have erred.
24Mampianara ahy, dia hangina aho; Ary ampahafantaro izay nahadisoako aho.
25How forcible are right words! but what doth your upbraiding reprove?
25Endrey ny herin'ny teny marina! Fa mba mahavoa inona kosa moa ny anatra ataonareo?
26Do ye imagine to reprove words? The speeches of one that is desperate are indeed for the wind.
26Ny amin'ny teniko ihany va no ananaranareo ahy? Fa ho amin'ny rivotra ny tenin'ny olona mamoy fo.
27Yea, ye overwhelm the fatherless, and dig [a pit] for your friend.
27Eny, fa na dia ny kamboty aza dia ataonareo loka, ary ny sakaizanareo dia ataonareo varotra.
28Now therefore if ye will, look upon me; and it shall be to your face if I lie.
28Fa ankehitriny, masìna ianareo, mba atreho kely aho, dia ho hitanareo fa tsy handainga tsy akory aho.
29Return, I pray you, let there be no wrong; yea, return again, my righteousness shall be in it.
29Masìna ianareo, diniho indray aho, ary aoka tsy hisy fitsarana tsy marina; eny, diniho indray aho, fa mbola ao ihany ny fahamarinako.Moa misy heloka va eo amin'ny lelako?
30Is there wrong in my tongue? cannot my taste discern mischievous things?
