¹And Jesus went forth and went away from the temple, and his disciples came to [him] to point out to him the buildings of the temple.

³And as he was sitting upon the mount of Olives the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be, and what is the sign of thy coming and [the] completion of the age?

⁴And Jesus answering said to them, See that no one mislead you.

⁵For many shall come in my name, saying, *I* am the Christ, and they shall mislead many.

⁵Fa maro no ho avy amin'ny anarako hanao hoe: Izaho no Kristy, ka maro no ho voafitany.

⁶But ye will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not disturbed; for all [these things] must take place, but it is not yet the end.

⁶Ary handre ady sy filazana ady ianareo; koa mitandrema, aza matahotra; fa tsy maintsy ho tonga izany; nefa tsy mbola tonga ny farany.

⁷For nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places.

⁷Fa hisy firenena hitsangana hamely firenena, ary hisy fanjakana hitsangana hamely fanjakana; ary hisy mosary sy horohorontany amin'ny tany samy hafa.

⁸But all these [are the] beginning of throes.

⁸Fa izany rehetra izany no fiandohan'ny fahoriana.[Gr. faharariam-piterahana; izahao 19. 28]

⁹Then shall they deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you; and ye will be hated of all the nations for my name's sake.

⁹Ary dia hatolony ho amin'ny fahoriana ianareo ka hovonoiny; ary ho halan'ny firenena rehetra ianareo noho ny anarako.

¹⁰And then will many be offended, and will deliver one another up, and hate one another;

¹⁰Ary amin'izany andro izany dia ho tafintohina ny maro, ary hifampiampanga sy hifankahala izy.

¹¹and many false prophets shall arise and shall mislead many;

¹¹Ary hisy mpaminany sandoka maro hitsangana ka hamitaka ny maro.

¹²and because lawlessness shall prevail, the love of the most shall grow cold;

¹³but he that has endured to the end, *he* shall be saved.

¹³Fa izay maharitra hatramin'ny farany no hovonjena.

¹⁴And these glad tidings of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole habitable earth, for a witness to all the nations, and then shall come the end.

¹⁵When therefore ye shall see the abomination of desolation, which is spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in [what is a] holy place, (he that reads let him understand,)

¹⁵Koa raha hitanareo mitsangana ao amin'izay fitoerana masina ny fahavetavetan'ny fandravana, izay nampilazaina an'i Daniela mpaminany (Dan. 12. 11; 9. 27) (aoka hisaina izay mamaky izany),

¹⁶then let those who are in Judaea flee to the mountains;

¹⁶dia aoka izay olona any Jodia handositra ho any an-tendrombohitra;

¹⁷let not him that is on the house come down to take the things out of his house;

¹⁷ary izay ao an-tampon-trano aoka tsy hidina haka ny ao an-tranony;

¹⁸and let not him that is in the field turn back to take his garment.

¹⁹But woe to those that are with child, and those that give suck in those days.

¹⁹Ary lozan'ny bevohoka sy ny mampinono amin'ireo andro ireo!

²⁰But pray that your flight may not be in winter time nor on sabbath:

²⁰Fa mivavaha ianareo mba tsy ho amin'ny ririnina na ho amin'ny Sabata no handosiranareo.

²¹for then shall there be great tribulation, such as has not been from [the] beginning of [the] world until now, nor ever shall be;

²¹Fa amin'izany andro izany dia hisy fahoriana lehibe, izay tsy mbola nisy toa azy hatrizay niandohan'izao tontolo izao ka mandraka ankehitriny, sady tsy hisy intsony.

²²and if those days had not been cut short, no flesh had been saved; but on account of the elect those days shall be cut short.

²²Ary raha tsy efa nohafohezina izany andro izany, dia tsy nisy nofo hovonjena; fa noho ny olom-boafidy dia hohafohezina izany andro izany.

²³Then if any one say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or here, believe [it] not.

²³Koa raha misy manao aminareo hoe: Indro,y Kristy, na: Indro, ar ; aza mino ianareo.

²⁴For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall give great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

²⁴Fa hisy Kristy sandoka sy mpaminany sandoka hitsangana ka haneho famantarana lehibe sy fahagagana, ary raha azo atao, na dia ny olom-boafidy aza dia hofitahiny.

²⁵Behold, I have told you beforehand.

²⁵Indro, voalazako aminareo rahateo izany.

²⁶If therefore they say to you, Behold, he is in the desert, go not forth; behold, [he is] in the inner chambers, do not believe [it].

²⁶Ary amin'izany, raha misy manao aminareo hoe: Indro, any an-efitra Izy, aza mankany ianareo; Indro, ao amin'ny efi-trano Izy, aza mino.

²⁷For as the lightning goes forth from the east and shines to the west, so shall be the coming of the Son of man.

²⁷Fa tahaka ny helatra avy any atsinanana ka hita hatrany andrefana, dia ho tahaka izany ny fihavian'ny Zanak'olona.

²⁸[For] wherever the carcase is, there will be gathered the eagles.

²⁸Fa izay itoeran'ny faty, dia any no hiangonan'ny voromahery.

²⁹But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

²⁹Ary raha vao afaka ny fahoriana amin'ireo andro ireo, ny masoandro dia hohamaizinina, ary ny volana tsy hahazava; ny kintana hiraraka avy any an-danitra, ary ny herin'ny lanitra hohozongozonina.

³⁰And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the land lament, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

³¹And he shall send his angels with a great sound of trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from [the one] extremity of [the] heavens to [the other] extremity of them.

³²But learn the parable from the fig-tree: When already its branch becomes tender and produces leaves, ye know that the summer is near.

³²Ary mianara ny fanoharana ny amin'ny aviavy: Raha vao manaroka ny rantsany ka mandravina, dia fantatrareo fa efa akaiky ny lohataona.[aviavimbazaha]

³³Thus also *ye*, when ye see all these things, know that it is near, at the doors.

³³Dia tahaka izany koa ianareo, raha vao hitanareo izany rehetra izany, dia aoka ho fantatrareo fa efa akaiky mby eo am-baravarana Izy.[Na: izany]

³⁴Verily I say to you, This generation will not have passed away until all these things shall have taken place.

³⁴Lazaiko aminareo marina tokoa: Tsy mba ho lany izao taranaka izao mandra-pahatongan'izany rehetra izany.

³⁵The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall in no wise pass away.

³⁵Ny lanitra sy ny tany ho levona, fa ny teniko tsy mba ho levona.

³⁶But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of the heavens, but [my] Father alone.

³⁶Fa ny amin'izany andro sy ora izany dia tsy misy mahalala, na dia ny anjelin'ny lanitra aza, [ary na ny Zanaka aza,] afa-tsy ny Ray ihany.

³⁷But as the days of Noe, so also shall be the coming of the Son of man.

³⁷Fa tahaka ny andron'i Noa, dia ho tahaka izany koa ny fihavian'ny Zanak'olona.

³⁸For as they were in the days which were before the flood, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day on which Noe entered into the ark,

³⁸Fa tahaka ny tamin'ny andro fony tsy mbola tonga ny Safo-drano, ka nihinana sy nisotro ny olona ary nampaka-bady sy namoaka ny ampakarina, mandra-pihavin'ny andro izay nidiran'i Noa tao amin'ny sambo-fiara,

³⁹and they knew not till the flood came and took all away; thus also shall be the coming of the Son of man.

³⁹ary tsy fantany mandra-pihavin'ny Safo-drano izay nandringana ny olona rehetra, dia ho tahaka izany ny fihavian'ny Zanak'olona.

⁴⁰Then two shall be in the field, one is taken and one is left;

⁴⁰Ary amin'izany hisy roa lahy any an-tsaha; ny anankiray horaisina, ary ny anankiray havela.

⁴¹two [women] grinding at the mill, one is taken and one is left.

⁴¹Ary hisy roa vavy manodina ny fikosoham-bary; ny anankiray horaisina, ary ny anankiray havela.

⁴²Watch therefore, for ye know not in what hour your Lord comes.

⁴²Koa amin'izany miambena ianareo; fa tsy fantatrareo izay andro hihavian'ny Tomponareo.

⁴³But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched and not have suffered his house to be dug through [into].

⁴³Nefa aoka ho fantatrareo izao: Raha fantatry ny tompon-trano ny fiambenana amin'ny alina izay hihavian'ny mpangalatra, dia ho niambina izy ka tsy namela ny tranony hotamina.

⁴⁴Wherefore *ye* also, be ye ready, for in that hour that ye think not the Son of man comes.

⁴⁴Koa miomana kosa ianareo; fa amin'izay ora tsy ampoizinareo no hihavian'ny Zanak'olona.

⁴⁵Who then is the faithful and prudent bondman whom his lord has set over his household, to give them food in season?

⁴⁵Iza moa no mpanompo mahatoky sy manan-tsaina, izay notendren'ny tompony hifehy ny mpanompony mba hanome azy hanina amin'ny fotoana?

⁴⁶Blessed is that bondman whom his lord on coming shall find doing thus.

⁴⁶Sambatra izany mpanompo izany, raha avy ny tompony ka hahita azy manao izany.

⁴⁷Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all his substance.

⁴⁷Lazaiko aminareo marina tokoa: Hotendreny ho mpanapaka ny fananany rehetra izy.

⁴⁸But if that evil bondman should say in his heart, My lord delays to come,

⁴⁸Fa raha manao anakampo izany mpanompo ratsy fanahy izany hoe: Maharitra ela ny tompoko,

⁴⁹and begin to beat his fellow-bondmen, and eat and drink with the drunken;

⁴⁹ka dia mikapoka ny mpanompo namany izy ary mihinana sy misotro amin'ny mpimamo,

⁵⁰the lord of that bondman shall come in a day when he does not expect it, and in an hour he knows not of,

⁵⁰dia ho avy ny tompon'izany mpanompo izany amin'ny andro izay tsy ampoiziny sy amin'ny ora izay tsy fantany,dia hotapahiny roa izy ka homeny anjara any amin'ny mpihatsaravelatsihy; any no hisy ny fitomaniana sy ny fikitroha-nify.[Na: hokapohiny mafy]

⁵¹and shall cut him in two and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
