¹{A Psalm of David.} Jehovah, hear my prayer; give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, in thy righteousness.

¹[Faniriam-pamindram-po noho ny fahoriana mafy] Salamo nataon'i Davida. Jehovah ô, henoy ny fivavako, ary atongilano amin'ny fifonako ny sofinao; Valio aho araka ny teninao marina sy ny fahamarinanao.

²And enter not into judgment with thy servant; for in thy sight no man living shall be justified.

²Ary aza dia mifandahatra amin'ny mpanomponao eo am-pitsarana; Fa tsy misy olombelona ho marina eo anatrehanao.

³For the enemy persecuteth my soul: he hath crushed my life down to the earth; he hath made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead.

³Fa nanenjika ny fanahiko ny fahavalo; Namely ny aiko ho lavo tamin'ny tany izy: Nampitoeriny tao amin'ny maizina aho, toy izay efa maty ela.

⁴And my spirit is overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

⁴Dia reraka ny fanahiko ato anatiko; Fadiranovana ny foko ato anatiko.

⁵I remember the days of old: I meditate on all thy doing; I muse on the work of thy hands.

⁵Mahatsiaro ny andro fahiny ho Ary misaina ny asanao rehetra; Ny asan'ny tananao no eritreretiko.

⁶I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul, as a parched land, [thirsteth] after thee. Selah.

⁶Mananty tanana aminao aho; Ny fanahiko dia tahaka ny tany mangetana eo anatrehanao.

⁷Answer me speedily, O Jehovah; my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, or I shall be like unto them that go down into the pit.

⁷Faingàna hamaly ahy, Jehovah ô, fa reraka ny fanahiko; Aza manafina ny tavanao amiko, Fandrao ho tahaka izay midina any am-pasana aho.

⁸Cause me to hear thy loving-kindness in the morning, for in thee do I confide; make me to know the way wherein I should walk, for unto thee do I lift up my soul.

⁸Ampandreneso ny famindram-ponao aho nony maraina, Fa Hianao no itokiako; Ampahalalao ahy izay lalana tokony halehako, Fa aminao no ananganako ny fanahiko.

⁹Deliver me, O Jehovah, from mine enemies: unto thee do I flee for refuge.

⁹Jehovah ô, vonjeo amin'ny fa-havaloko aho; Ao aminao no iereko.

¹⁰Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: let thy good Spirit lead me in a plain country.

¹⁰Ampianaro hanao ny sitraponao aho; Fa Hianao no Andriamanitro; Aoka ny Fanahinao tsara no hitarihanao ahy amin'izay tany marina.

¹¹Revive me, O Jehovah, for thy name's sake; in thy righteousness bring my soul out of trouble;

¹¹Noho ny anaranao, Jehovah ô, velomy aho; Araka ny fahamarinanao avoahy ny fanahiko ho afaka amin'ny fahoriana.Ary araka ny famindram-ponao fongory ny fahavaloko, Ka aringano izay rehetra mampahory ny fanahiko; Fa mpanomponao aho.

¹²And in thy loving-kindness cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that oppress my soul: for I am thy servant.
