¹{[A Psalm] of David.} Blessed be Jehovah my rock, who teacheth my hands to war, my fingers to fight;

²My mercy and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I trust, who subdueth my people under me!

²Izay Mpiantra sy batery fiarovana ho ahy sady fiarovana avo sy Mpanafaka ahy, Ary ampingako sy fialofako, Izay mahafolaka ny vahoakako hanoa ahy

³Jehovah, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him, the son of man, that thou takest thought of him?

³Jehovah ô, inona ny olona, no iahianao azy? Ary ny zanak'olombelona, no iheveranao azy? [Heb. ahafantaranao]

⁴Man is like to vanity; his days are as a shadow that passeth away.

⁴Ny olona dia tahaka ny zava-poana, Ny androny dia tahaka ny aloka mihelina.

⁵Jehovah, bow thy heavens, and come down; touch the mountains, that they smoke;

⁵Jehovah ô, aondreho ny lanitrao, ka midina; Tendreo ny tendrombohitra, dia hidonaka ireny.

⁶Cast forth lightnings, and scatter them; send forth thine arrows, and discomfit them:

⁶Ampitselatselaro ny helatra, ka ampielezo ireo; Alefao ny zana-tsipìkanao, ka ampifanaritaho ireo;

⁷Stretch out thy hands from above; rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of aliens,

⁷Ahinjiro avy any ambony ny tananao; Afaho aho, ka vonjeo amin'ny rano be, Dia amin'ny tanan'ny hafa firenena,

⁸Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

⁸Izay miteny zava-poana amin'ny vavany, Ary ny tànany ankavanana dia tanana ankavanana mamitaka.

⁹O God, I will sing a new song unto thee; with the ten-stringed lute will I sing psalms unto thee:

⁹Andriamanitra ô, hihira fihiram-baovao ho Anao aho; Amin'ny valiha tory folo no hankalazako Anao,

¹⁰Who givest salvation unto kings; who rescuest David thy servant from the hurtful sword.

¹⁰Izay manome famonjena ho an'ireo mpanjaka, Sady mamonjy an'i Davida mpanompony tsy ho voan'ny sabatra mandratra.

¹¹Rescue me, and deliver me from the hand of aliens, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

¹¹Afaho aho, ka vonjeo amin'ny tanan'ny hafa firenena, Izay miteny zava-poana amin'ny vavany, Ary ny tànany ankavanana dia tanana ankavanana mamitaka;

¹²That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; our daughters as corner-columns, sculptured after the fashion of a palace:

¹²Mba ho tahaka ny zava-maniry maroroka ny zanakai-lahy, Ary ho tahaka ny vato fehizoro voasoratra tsara toy ny fomban'ny lapan'andriana ny zanakai-vavy.

¹³Our granaries full, affording all manner of store; our sheep bringing forth thousands, ten thousands in our pastures;

¹³Ho feno ny trano fitehirizanay, ka hisy vokatra betsaka samy hafa karazana; Hiteraka arivoarivo sy alinalina ny ondrinay any an-tsahanay;

¹⁴Our kine laden [with young]; no breaking in and no going forth, and no outcry in our streets.

¹⁴Hahazaka be ny ombinay, Ary tsy hisy ho rava, na ho lasan-ko babo, Sady tsy hisy fitarainana any an-dalambenay.Sambatra ny firenena izay tahaka izany; Eny, sambatra ny firenena izay manana an'i Jehovah ho Andriamaniny.

¹⁵Blessed the people that is in such a case! Blessed the people whose God is Jehovah!
