¹{A Psalm of David; when he was in the wilderness of Judah.} O God, thou art my ùGod; early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh languisheth for thee, in a dry and weary land without water:

¹[Ny hetahetan'ny fanahy maniry an'Andriamanitra] Salamo nataon'i Davida, fony tany an-efitr'i Joda izy. ANDRIAMANITRA ô, Andriamanitro Hianao; mitady Anao fatratra aho; mangetaheta Anao ny fanahiko, maniry Anao ny nofoko, eto amin'ny tany maina sy mangentana tsy misy rano;

²To see thy power and thy glory, as I have beheld thee in the sanctuary;

²Toy izany no nijereko Anao tao amin'ny fitoerana masina, hahitako ny herinao sy ny voninahitrao.

³For thy loving-kindness is better than life: my lips shall praise thee.

³Fa tsara noho ny aina ny famindram-ponao; ny molotro hidera Anao.

⁴So will I bless thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in thy name.

⁴Toy izany no hisaorako Anao, raha mbola velona koa aho; amin'ny anaranao no hanandratako ny tanako.

⁵My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise [thee] with joyful lips.

⁵Toy ny voky tsoka sy tavy no hahavokisan'ny fanahiko; ary amin'ny molotra falifaly no hideran'ny vavako Anao.

⁶When I remember thee upon my bed, I meditate on thee in the night-watches:

⁶Raha mahatsiaro Anao eo am-pandriako aho, dia mieritreritra Anao amin'ny fiambenan'alina.

⁷For thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of thy wings will I sing for joy.

⁷Fa efa namonjy ahy Hianao, ary ao ambanin'ny aloky ny elatrao no hihobiako.

⁸My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

⁸Mifikitra amiko ny fanahiko; manohana ahy ny tananao ankavanana.

⁹But those that seek my soul, to destroy [it], shall go into the lower parts of the earth;

⁹Fa ireny dia mitady ny aiko ka mampidi-doza amin'ny tenany; hiditra any ambanin'ny tany izy;

¹⁰They shall be given over to the power of the sword; they shall be the portion of foxes.

¹⁰Hatolotra ho amin'ny herin'ny sabatra izy; ho anjaran'ny amboahaolo izy.[volpa]Fa ny mpanjaka hifaly amin'Andriamanitra; ho ravoravo izay rehetra mianiana aminy; fa hakombona ny vavan'izay rehetra mandainga.

¹¹But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

¹¹Fa ny mpanjaka hifaly amin'Andriamanitra; ho ravoravo izay rehetra mianiana aminy; fa hakombona ny vavan'izay rehetra mandainga.
