1And Moses answered and said, But behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice; for they will say, Jehovah has not appeared to thee.
1അതിന്നു മോശെഅവര് എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കാതെയും എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കാതെയുംയഹോവ നിനക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറയും എന്നുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
2And Jehovah said to him, What is that in thy hand? And he said, A staff.
2യഹോവ അവനോടുനിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഇരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. ഒരു വടി എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.
3And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.
3അതു നിലത്തിടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അവന് നിലത്തിട്ടു; അതു ഒരു സര്പ്പമായ്തീര്ന്നു; മോശെ അതിനെ കണ്ടു ഔടിപ്പോയി.
4And Jehovah said to Moses, Stretch out thy hand and take it by the tail -- and he stretched out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand --
4യഹോവ മോശെയോടുനിന്റെ കൈ നീട്ടി അതിനെ വാലിന്നു പിടിക്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അവന് കൈ നീട്ടി അതിനെ പിടിച്ചു; അതു അവന്റെ കയ്യില് വടിയായ്തീര്ന്നു.
5that they may believe that Jehovah, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.
5ഇതു അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും ആയി അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി എന്നു അവര് വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആകുന്നു
6And Jehovah said moreover to him, Put now thy hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom, and took it out, and behold, his hand was leprous, as snow.
6യഹോവ പിന്നെയും അവനോടുനിന്റെ കൈ മാര്വ്വിടത്തില് ഇടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അവന് കൈ മാര്വ്വിടത്തില് ഇട്ടു; പുറത്തു എടുത്തപ്പോള് കൈ ഹിമം പോലെ വെളുത്തു കുഷ്ഠമുള്ളതായി കണ്ടു.
7And he said, Put thy hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again, and took it out of his bosom, and behold, it was turned again as his flesh.
7നിന്റെ കൈ വീണ്ടും മാര്വ്വിടത്തില് ഇടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അവന് കൈ വീണ്ടും മാര്വ്വിടത്തില് ഇട്ടു, മാര്വ്വിടത്തില്നിന്നു പുറത്തെടുത്തപ്പോള്, അതു വീണ്ടും അവന്റെ മറ്റേ മാംസംപോലെ ആയി കണ്ടു.
8And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the other sign.
8എന്നാല് അവര് വിശ്വസിക്കാതെയും ആദ്യത്തെ അടയാളം അനുസരിക്കാതെയും ഇരുന്നാല് അവര് പിന്നത്തെ അടയാളം വിശ്വസിക്കും.
9And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also those two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour [it] on the dry [land]; and the water that thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry [land].
9ഈ രണ്ടടയാളങ്ങളും അവര് വിശ്വസിക്കാതെയും നിന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കാതെയും ഇരുന്നാല് നീ നദിയിലെ വെള്ളം കോരി ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തു ഒഴിക്കേണം; നദിയില് നിന്നു കോരിയ വെള്ളം ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തു രക്തമായ്തീരും.
10And Moses said to Jehovah, Ah Lord! I am not eloquent, neither heretofore nor since thou hast spoken to thy servant, for I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue.
10മോശെ യഹോവയോടുകര്ത്താവേ, മുമ്പേ തന്നെയും നീ അടിയനോടു സംസാരിച്ചശേഷവും ഞാന് വാക്സാമര്ത്ഥ്യമുള്ളവനല്ല; ഞാന് വിക്കനും തടിച്ചനാവുള്ളവനും ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
11And Jehovah said to him, Who gave man a mouth? or who maketh dumb, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? [have] not I, Jehovah?
11അതിന്നു യഹോവ അവനോടുമനുഷ്യന്നു വായി കൊടുത്തതു ആര്? അല്ല, ഊമനെയും ചെകിടനെയും കാഴ്ചയുള്ളവനെയും കുരുടനെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതു ആര്? യഹോവയായ ഞാന് അല്ലയോ? ആകയാല് നീ ചെല്ലുക;
12And now go, and I will be with thy mouth, and will teach thee what thou shalt say.
12ഞാന് നിന്റെ വായോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു നീ സംസാരിക്കേണ്ടതു നിനക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചുതരും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
13And he said, Ah Lord! send, I pray thee, by the hand [of him whom] thou wilt send.
13എന്നാല് അവന് കര്ത്താവേ, നിനക്കു ബോധിച്ച മറ്റാരെയെങ്കിലും അയക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു..
14Then the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also behold, he goeth out to meet thee; and when he seeth thee he will be glad in his heart.
14അപ്പോള് യഹോവയുടെ കോപം മോശെയുടെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു, അവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തുലേവ്യനായ അഹരോന് നിന്റെ സഹോദരനല്ലയോ? അവന്നു നല്ലവണ്ണം സംസാരിക്കാമെന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു. അവന് നിന്നെ എതിരേല്പാന് പുറപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു; നിന്നെ കാണുമ്പോള് അവന് ഹൃദയത്തില് ആനന്ദിക്കും.
15And thou shalt speak unto him, and put the words in his mouth; and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.
15നീ അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ചു അവന്നു വാക്കു പറഞ്ഞു കൊടുക്കേണം. ഞാന് നിന്റെ വായോടും അവന്റെ വായോടും കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും; നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്യേണ്ടുന്നതു ഉപദേശിച്ചുതരും.
16And he shall speak for thee unto the people; and it shall come to pass that he shall be to thee for a mouth, and thou shalt be to him for God.
16നിനക്കു പകരം അവന് ജനത്തോടു സംസാരിക്കും; അവന് നിനക്കു വായായിരിക്കും, നീ അവന്നു ദൈവവും ആയിരിക്കും.
17And thou shalt take this staff in thy hand, with which thou shalt do the signs.
17അടയാളങ്ങള് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഈ വടിയും നിന്റെ കയ്യില് എടുത്തുകൊള്ക.
18And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father-in-law, and said to him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return to my brethren who are in Egypt, that I may see whether they are yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.
18പിന്നെ മോശെ തന്റെ അമ്മായപ്പനായ യിത്രോവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അവനോടുഞാന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു, മിസ്രയീമിലെ എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു, അവര് ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു നോക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യിത്രോ മോശെയോടുസമാധാനത്തോടെ പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു..
19And Jehovah said to Moses in Midian, Go, return to Egypt; for all the men are dead who sought thy life.
19യഹോവ മിദ്യാനില്വെച്ചു മോശെയോടുമിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോക; നിനക്കു ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാന് നോക്കിയവര് എല്ലാവരും മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
20And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them riding upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt. And Moses took the staff of God in his hand.
20അങ്ങനെ മോശെ തന്റെ ഭാര്യയെയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും കൂട്ടി കഴുതപ്പുറത്തുകയറ്റി മിസ്രയിംദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങി; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വടിയും മോശെ കയ്യില് എടുത്തു.
21And Jehovah said to Moses, When thou goest to return to Egypt, see that thou do all the wonders before Pharaoh that I have put in thy hand. And I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.
21യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുനീ മിസ്രയീമില് ചെന്നെത്തുമ്പോള് ഞാന് നിന്നെ ഭരമേല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള അത്ഭുതങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ചെയ്വാന് ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്ക; എന്നാല് അവന് ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് ഞാന് അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കും.
22And thou shalt say to Pharaoh, Thus saith Jehovah: Israel is my son, my firstborn.
22നീ ഫറവോനോടുയഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയിസ്രായേല് എന്റെ പുത്രന് , എന്റെ ആദ്യജാതന് തന്നേ.
23And I say to thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me. And if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will kill thy son, thy firstborn.
23എനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്വാന് എന്റെ പുത്രനെ വിട്ടയക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു; അവനെ വിട്ടയപ്പാന് സമ്മതിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് ഞാന് നിന്റെ പുത്രനെ, നിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനെ തന്നേ കൊന്നുകളയും എന്നു പറക.
24And it came to pass on the way, in the inn, that Jehovah came upon him, and sought to slay him.
24എന്നാല് വഴിയില് സത്രത്തില്വെച്ചു യഹോവ അവനെ എതിരിട്ടു കൊല്ലുവാന് ഭാവിച്ചു.
25Then Zipporah took a stone and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, A bloody husband indeed art thou to me!
25അപ്പോള് സിപ്പോരാ ഒരു കല്ക്കത്തി എടുത്തു തന്റെ മകന്റെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മം ഛേദിച്ചു അവന്റെ കാല്ക്കല് ഇട്ടുനീ എനിക്കു രക്തമണവാളന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
26And he let him go. Then she said, A bloody husband -- because of the circumcision.
26ഇങ്ങനെ അവന് അവനെ വിട്ടൊഴിഞ്ഞു; ആ സമയത്താകുന്നു അവള് പരിച്ഛേദന നിമിത്തം രക്തമണവാളന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു.
27And Jehovah said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him on the mountain of God, and kissed him.
27എന്നാല് യഹോവ അഹരോനോടുനീ മരുഭൂമിയില് മോശെയെ എതിരേല്പാന് ചെല്ലുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; അവന് ചെന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പര്വ്വതത്തിങ്കല്വെച്ചു അവനെ എതിരേറ്റു ചുംബിച്ചു.
28And Moses told Aaron all the words of Jehovah who had sent him, and all the signs that he had commanded him.
28യഹോവ തന്നേ ഏല്പിച്ചയച്ച വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ച അടയാളങ്ങളൊക്കെയും മോശെ അഹരോനെ അറിയിച്ചു.
29And Moses and Aaron went and gathered all the elders of the children of Israel;
29പിന്നെ മോശെയും അഹരോനും പോയി, യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.
30and Aaron spoke all the words that Jehovah had spoken to Moses, and did the signs before the eyes of the people.
30യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ച വചനങ്ങളെല്ലാം അഹരോന് പറഞ്ഞു കേള്പ്പിച്ചു, ജനം കാണ്കെ ആ അടയാളങ്ങളും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു.
31And the people believed. And when they heard that Jehovah had visited the children of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.
31അപ്പോള് ജനം വിശ്വസിച്ചു; യഹോവ യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളെ സന്ദര്ശിച്ചു എന്നും തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടത കടാക്ഷിച്ചു എന്നും കേട്ടിട്ടു അവര് കുമ്പിട്ടു നമസ്കരിച്ചു.
