1The king's heart in the hand of Jehovah is [as] brooks of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
1ရှင်ဘုရင်၏ စိတ်နှလုံးသည် ရေချောင်းကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ လက်တော်၌ရှိသဖြင့်၊ အလို တော်ရှိသည်အတိုင်း လှည့်စေတော်မူ၏။
2Every way of a man is right in his own eyes; but Jehovah weigheth the hearts.
2လူတို့သည်မိမိတို့ ကျင့်သမျှသော အကျင့်တို့ကို နှစ်သက်တတ်၏။ ထာဝရဘုရားမူကား၊ စိတ်နှလုံးတို့ကို ချိန်တော်မူ၏။
3To exercise justice and judgment is more acceptable to Jehovah than sacrifice.
3ယဇ်ပူဇော်ခြင်းကို နှစ်သက်သည်ထက် ဖြောင့် မတ်စွာပြုခြင်း၊ တရားသဖြင့် စီရင်ခြင်းကို ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သာ၍နှစ်သက်တော်မူ၏။
4Lofty eyes, and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, is sin.
4ထောင်လွှားသောမျက်နှာ၊ မာနကြီးသောနှလုံး၊ မတရားသောသူတို့၏အလင်းသော်လည်း အပြစ်ပါ၏။
5The thoughts of the diligent [tend] only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty, only to want.
5လုံ့လဝိရိယပြုသောသူ၏အကြံအစည်သည် ကြွယ်ဝခြင်းနှင့်၎င်း၊ သမ္မာသတိမရှိသော သူ၏အကြံ အစည်သည် ဆင်းရဲခြင်းနှင့်၎င်း ဆိုင်ပေ၏။
6The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting breath of them that seek death.
6မုသာစကားအားဖြင့် ဘဏ္ဍာကိုဆည်းဖူးခြင်း အမှုသည် သေမင်းကျော့ကွင်းတို့တွင် ပျောက်လွင့်သော အနတ္တဖြစ်၏။
7The devastation of the wicked sweepeth them away, because they refuse to do what is right.
7မတရားသော သူတို့သည် တရားသဖြင့်မစီရင် လိုသောကြောင့်၊ မိမိညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်းအပြစ်သည် မိမိကို ဖျက်ဆီးလိမ့်မည်။
8Very crooked is the way of a guilty man; but as for the pure, his work is upright.
8လမ်းလွှဲသွားသောသူသည် ကွာဝေးရာသို့ ရောက်တတ်၏။ စင်ကြယ်သော သူပြုသောအမှုမူကား မှန်ပေ၏။
9It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a contentious woman, and a house in common.
9ရန်တွေ့တတ်သောမိန်းမနှင့် အတူလူများသော အိမ်၌နေသည်ထက်၊ အိမ်မိုးပေါ်ထောင့်ထဲမှာ နေသော် သာ၍ကောင်း၏။
10The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.
10မတရားသောသူသည် မနာလိုသောစိတ်ရှိ၏။ အိမ်နီးချင်း၌ ကျေးဇူးပြုချင်သော အလိုမရှိ။
11When the scorner is punished, the simple becometh wise; and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
11မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသောသူသည် အပြစ်ဒဏ်ကို ခံရသောအခါ၊ ဥာဏ် တိမ်သောသူသည်သတိရတတ်၏။ သတိရသောသူသည်လည်း သွန်သင်ခြင်းကိုခံသောအခါ၊ ပညာတိုးပွါးတတ်၏။
12One that is righteous wisely considereth the house of the wicked: he overthroweth the wicked to [their] ruin.
12တရားသောသူသည် မတရားသောသူ၏အိမ်ကို ပညာစိတ်နှင့် ဆင်ခြင်တတ်၏။ မတရားသောသူတို့ မူကား၊ မိမိတို့ပြုသောဒုစရိုက်အားဖြင့် ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ ရောက်တတ်ကြ၏။
13Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also himself shall cry, and shall not be heard.
13ဆင်းရဲသောသူ၏အော်ဟစ်သံကို မကြားလို၍၊ နားကိုပိတ်သော သူသည် ကိုယ်တိုင်အော်ဟစ်၍၊ အဘယ် သူမျှမကြားရ။
14A gift in secret pacifieth anger; and a present in the bosom, vehement fury.
14တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ ပေးသောလက်ဆောင်သည် သူ့စိတ်ကို၎င်း၊ ရင်ခွင်၌ချထားသော လက်ဆောင်ပဏ္ဏာ သည် ပြင်းစွာသော အမျက်ကို၎င်း ဖြေတတ်၏။
15It is joy to a righteous [man] to do what is right; but it is ruin for the workers of iniquity.
15ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူသည် တရားသဖြင့်စီရင်၍ ဝမ်းမြောက်တတ်၏။ အဓမ္မအမှုကိုပြုသောသူမူကား၊ ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။
16The man that wandereth out of the way of wisdom shall abide in the congregation of the dead.
16ဥာဏ်ပညာလမ်းမှ လွှဲသွားသော သူသည် သင်္ချိုင်းသား အစုအဝေး၌ နေရာကျလိမ့်မည်။
17He that loveth mirth shall be a poor man; he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.
17ကာမဂုဏ်၌ မွေ့လျော်သောသူသည် ဆင်းရဲ ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။ စပျစ်ရည်နှင့်ဆီကို ကြိုက်သော သူသည်လည်း ငွေကိုမရတတ်ရ။
18The wicked is a ransom for the righteous, and a treacherous [man] in the stead of the upright.
18မတရားသောသူသည် တရားသောသူအဘို့၊ လွန်ကျူးသော သူသည်ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူအဘို့ ရွေးရန် ဖြစ်၏။
19It is better to dwell in a desert land. than with a contentious and irritable woman.
19စိတ်တို၍ရန်တွေ့တတ်သောမိန်းမနှင့် နေသည် ထက်၊ တောလွင်ပြင်၌ နေသော်သာ၍ကောင်း၏။
20There is costly store and oil in the dwelling of a wise [man]; but a foolish man swalloweth it up.
20ပညာရှိသောသူ၏အိမ်၌ နှစ်သက်ဘွယ်သော ဘဏ္ဍာနှင့် ဆီရှိတတ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူမူကား၊ ကုန်စေ တတ်၏။
21He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
21ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းတရားနှင့်ကရုဏာတရားကို ရှာသောသူသည် အသက်ရှင်ခြင်း၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်း၊ ဂုဏ် အသရေထင်ရှားခြင်းကို တွေ့တတ်၏။
22A wise [man] scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.
22ပညာရှိသောသူသည် ခိုင်ခံ့သောမြို့ရိုးကို တက် ၍၊ မြို့သားကိုးစားစရာခွန်အားကို ရှုတ်ချတတ်၏။
23Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
23မိမိနှုတ်နှင့်လျှာကိုစောင့်သော သူသည် မိမိ စိတ်ဝိညာဉ်ကို ဒုက္ခနှင့်လွတ်စေခြင်းငှါ စောင့်ရာရောက် ၏။
24Proud, arrogant, scorner is his name who dealeth in proud wrath.
24ပြင်းစွာသော ဒေါသအမျက်၌ ကျင်လည်သော သူကို၊ ထောင်လွှားစော်ကားသောသူ၊ မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသော သူဟူ၍ သမုတ်အပ်၏။
25The desire of the sluggard killeth him; for his hands refuse to work:
25ပျင်းရိသောသူသည် အလုပ်မလုပ်ချင်သော ကြောင့်၊ မိမိတပ်မက်သောအားဖြင့် သေတတ်၏။
26He coveteth greedily all the day long; but the righteous giveth and spareth not.
26တနေ့လုံးတပ်မက်အားကြီးတတ်၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ် သော သူမူကား မနှမြောဘဲစွန့်ကြဲတတ်၏။
27The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more when they bring it with a wicked purpose!
27မတရားသော သူပူဇော်သော ယဇ်သည် စက်ဆုပ်ရွံ့ရှာဘွယ်ဖြစ်၏။ ထိုမျှမက၊ မတရားသော စိတ်နှင့်ပူဇော်လျှင် သာ၍ဖြစ်၏။
28A lying witness shall perish; and a man that heareth shall speak constantly.
28မမှန်သော သက်သေသည် ပျက်တတ်၏။ ကိုယ်တိုင်ကြားသောသူမူကား၊ တည်ကြည်စွာ ပြော တတ်၏။
29A wicked man hardeneth his face; but as for the upright, he establisheth his way.
29မတရားသောသူသည် မိမိမျက်နှာကို ခိုင်မာ စေတတ်၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူမူကား၊ မိမိသွားရာလမ်း ကို ပြင်ဆင်တတ်၏။
30There is no wisdom, nor understanding, nor counsel against Jehovah.
30ထာဝရဘုရားတဘက်၌ ဥာဏ်မတည်၊ ပညာ မတည်၊ အကြံတစုံတခုမျှ မတည်နိုင်။
31The horse is prepared for the day of battle; but safety is of Jehovah.
31စစ်တိုက်ရာကာလအဘို့မြင်းများကို ပြင်ဆင် သော်လည်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ကျေးဇူးတော်ကြောင့် ချမ်းသာရပါ၏။
