¹And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,

¹Da tok Bildad fra Suah til orde og sa:

²Dominion and fear are with him; he maketh peace in his high places.

²Hos ham er herskermakt og redsel; han skaper fred i sine høie himler.

³Is there any number of his troops? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

³Er det tall på hans skarer? Og hvem overstråles ikke av hans lys?

⁴And how should man be just with ùGod? Or how should he be clean that is born of a woman?

⁴Hvorledes skulde da et menneske være rettferdig for Gud eller en som er født av en kvinne, være ren?

⁵Lo, even the moon is not bright; and the stars are not pure in his sight:

⁵Selv månen skinner ikke klart, og stjernene er ikke rene i hans øine,

⁶How much less man, a worm, and the son of man, a worm!
