¹{To the chief Musician. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.} Thou hast been favourable, Jehovah, unto thy land; thou hast turned the captivity of Jacob:

¹Til sangmesteren; av Korahs barn; en salme.

²Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people; thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

²Du har fordum, Herre, vært nådig mot ditt land, du lot Jakobs fangenskap ophøre.

³Thou hast withdrawn all thy wrath; thou hast turned from the fierceness of thine anger.

³Du tok bort ditt folks misgjerning, du skjulte all deres synd. Sela.

⁴Bring us back, O God of our salvation, and cause thine indignation toward us to cease.

⁴Du tok bort all din harme, du lot din brennende vrede vende om.

⁵Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger from generation to generation?

⁵Vend om til oss, vår frelses Gud, og gjør din harme imot oss til intet!

⁶Wilt thou not revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?

⁶Vil du evindelig være vred på oss? Vil du la din vrede vare fra slekt til slekt?

⁷Shew us thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, and grant us thy salvation.

⁷Vil du ikke gjøre oss levende igjen, så ditt folk kan glede sig i dig?

⁸I will hear what ùGod, Jehovah, will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his godly ones: but let them not turn again to folly.

⁸Herre, la oss se din miskunnhet, og gi oss din frelse!

⁹Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.

⁹Jeg vil høre hvad Gud Herren taler; for han taler fred til sitt folk og til sine fromme - bare de ikke vender tilbake til dårskap.

¹⁰Loving-kindness and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other:

¹⁰Ja, hans frelse er nær hos dem som frykter ham, forat herlighet skal bo i vårt land.

¹¹Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from the heavens.

¹¹Nåde og sannhet skal møte hverandre, rettferd og fred kysse hverandre.

¹²Jehovah also will give what is good, and our land shall yield its increase.

¹²Sannhet skal vokse op av jorden, og rettferd skue ned fra himmelen.

¹³Righteousness shall go before him, and shall set his footsteps on the way.

¹³Herren skal også gi det som godt er, og vårt land gi sin grøde.

¹⁴Rettferd skal gå frem for hans åsyn og stadig følge i hans spor.
