2 Samuel

12

1And Jehovah sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.
1Huan, TOUPA'N David kiang ah Nathan a sawl a. Huan, a kiang ah a hoh a, Khua khat ah mi nih a om ua; khatpen mi hausa ahi a, khatpen mi genthei ahi.
2The rich had very many flocks and herds;
2Mi hausa in belam hon tampi leh gan hon tampi a nei a:
3but the poor man had nothing at all, but one little ewe lamb which he had bought, and was nourishing; and it grew up with him, and together with his children: it ate of his morsel, and drank of his own cup, and slept in his bosom, and was to him as a daughter.
3Mi genthei in bel belamnou a nu neuchik khat a lei a, a vulh khat kia ngallou bangmah a neikei a: a kiang ah a tate toh khanglian ahi uh; a kuang sawk pih leh a nou kikoppih, a angsung a om, a tanu bang geih a a ngaihtuah ahi.
4And there came a traveller to the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that had come to him; and he took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that had come to him.
4Huan, mi hausa kiang ah khualzinmi khat a vatung a; huan, amah kiang a mikhual tung amah belam leh gan goh phallou in mi genthei belamnou a kiang a hongpa a goh a, a chi a.
5Then David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As Jehovah liveth, the man that hath done this thing is worthy of death;
5Huchi in huai mi tungah a hehta mahmah a, Nathan kiang ah, TOUPA hinna lou in ka gen hi, huai thil hih mi hihlup mai tuak ahi;
6and he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.
6Huan, hichi bang thil ahih ziak leh hehpihna a neihlouh ziak in a belamnou a mun li in a dit ding ahi, a chi a.
7And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man! Thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel: I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;
7Huchi in Nathan in David kiang ah, Nangmah na ka, TOUPA, Israelte Pathian in hichi in a chi, Israelte kumpipa ding in sathau ka honnilh a, Saula khut a kipan in ka hon honkhia a;

8Huan, na pu in gou ka honluah sak a, na pu zite na angsung ah ka koih a, huan, Israel inkuante leh Judate ka hon pia a; huan, huaite a tawmluat lai uleh thil dangte leng hon piak beh lai ding ka kei maw.
9Wherefore hast thou despised the word of Jehovah to do evil in his sight? thou hast smitten Urijah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
9Bangdia TOUPA thu ngaineu a, a mitmuh a thil hoihlou na hih maizen? Hit mi Uria namsau in na hihlum a, a zi nang zi ding in na neihsak a, Amon suante namsau in na that.
10Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thy house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Urijah the Hittite to be thy wife.

11Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
11TOUPA'N hichi in a chi, Ngai in, nangmah inkuan lak a kipan mahmah in na tungah thil hoihlou ka suaksak ding a, na mitmuh mahmah in na zi ka hon laksak ding, na vengte ka pe dia, sun khovak in na zite a luppih ding uh.

13And David said to Nathan, I have sinned against Jehovah. And Nathan said to David, Jehovah has also put away thy sin: thou shalt not die.

14Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of Jehovah to blaspheme, even the child that is born to thee shall certainly die.

18And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead; for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke to him, and he would not hearken to our voice; and how shall we say to him, The child is dead? he may do some harm.
18Huan, hichi ahi a, a ni sagih ni in naupuang a sita. Huan, David sikhate'n naupang a sita chih a hilh ngamkei ua, Ngai in, naupang a damlai in a kiang ah thu i gen ua, a ngaikhe nuam ngalkei a, naupang a sita chih bangchin i hilh ngam dia, bang chichi hiam in a kihih kha ding, a chi ua.
