1Give ye thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.
1Aw TOUPA kiangah kipahthu hilh un; amah tuh a hoih ngala: a chitna leng khantawnin a om ding ahi ngala.
2Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the oppressor,
2TOUPA mi tatten huchibang gen uhen, doumi khut akipan a tatten.
3And gathered out of the countries, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.
3Gam teng akipan a pi khawma, suahlam leh tumlam, simlam leh mallam akipan tekhawngin.
4They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way, they found no city of habitation;

5Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them:
5Gilkial leh dangtakin a hinna uh a gilsung uah a bahta hi.
6Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he delivered them out of their distresses,
6Huaitakin a buaina uah TOUPA a sam ua, aman a lungkhamna ua kipanin a humbitta.
7And he led them forth by a right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
7Mihing omna khuaa a pai theihna ding un, lampi tangtak ah a pikheta hi.
8Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;
8Aw, mihingten TOUPA a chitna jiak leh, mihing tate tunga a thillamdang hihte jiakin phat himhim le u aw!
9For he hath satisfied the longing soul and filled the hungry soul with good.

10Such as inhabit darkness and the shadow of death, bound in affliction and iron,
10Mial nuaia leh sihna lima tu-a, gimthuakna leh sikkhau a hente mahmah;
11Because they had rebelled against the words of ùGod, and had despised the counsel of the Most High; ...
11Pathian thu tungahte a hel ua, Tungnungpen lunggel tuh a ngaihneu jiak un:
12And he bowed down their heart with labour; they stumbled, and there was none to help:
12Aman a lungtang uh sepgimnain a minsakta a; a puk ua, panpihpa ding himhim lah a om ngal kei a.
13Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he saved them out of their distresses;
13Huai takin a buaina uah TOUPA a sam ua, aman a buaina ua kipan a pi khia a, a hennate uh a suktat sakta hi.
14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder.
14Mial nuai akipan leh sihna lim akipan a pi khia a, a henna uh a suktat sakta hi.
15Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;
15Aw, mihingten TOUPA a chitna jiakin leh, mihing tate tunga a thillamdang hihte jiakin phat himhim le u aw!
16For he hath broken the gates of bronze, and cut asunder the bars of iron.
16Aman dal kongkhakte tuh a chimsaka, a kalhna sik tawnte tuh a hihtanta ngala.
17Fools, because of their way of transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted;
17Mi haite a tatlekna jiak un leh, a gitlouh-satlouhnate u jiakin a kihihgim nak uhi.
18Their soul abhorreth all manner of food, and they draw near unto the gates of death:
18A hinna un nek theih chiteng a kiha; sihna kulh kongkhakte a naih jel uhi.
19Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he saveth them out of their distresses;
19Huaitakin a buaina uah TOUPA a sam ua, aman a mangbatna ua kipanin a hondam jel hi.
20He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their destructions.
20A thu tuh a sawl khia a, amau tuh a damsak jel hi, a mahthatna ding ua kipanin a humbit jel hi.
21Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men,

22And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works in joyful song.
22Amau kipahthugen kithoihnate tuh lan uhenla, a thilhihte uh lasain hilh uhen.
23They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters,

24These see the works of Jehovah, and his wonders in the deep.
24Huaiten TOUPA thilhihte leh, tui thupi-a a thillamdang hihte a mu jel uhi.
25For he speaketh, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof:
25Aman thu a pia a, huihpi a nungsaka, huaiin a tuikihawtte tuh a sangsak hi.
26They mount up to the heavens, they go down to the depths; their soul is melted because of trouble;
26Vanah a pai tou luamluam ua, thukpi ah a pai suk nawn luamluam jel uhi: mangbatna jiakin a hinna uh a zulbei jel hi.
27They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and they are at their wits' end:
27Zukham bangin a sawi hoihoi ua, a tuan loklok ua, omdan ding himhim a theikei nak uhi.
28Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses;
28Huaitakin a buaina uah TOUPA a sam ua, aman a mangbatna ua kipanin a pi jel hi.
29He maketh the storm a calm, and the waves thereof are still:
29Huihpi a daisak duama, huchiin a tuikihawtte a dai duam jel hi.
30And they rejoice because they are quiet; and he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

31Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;

32Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the session of the elders.

34A fruitful land into a plain of salt, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
34Gam hoih tuh gam keu mah leng a suaksak jel, a sunga omte genhak jiakin.
35He maketh the wilderness into a pool of water, and the dry land into water-springs;
35Gamdai tuh dilin a suaksak jela, gam keu leng tuinak a suaksak jel hi.
36And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, and they establish a city of habitation;
36Huaiah gilkialte a omsaka, omna ding khua a bawl ua.
37And sow fields, and plant vineyards, which yield fruits of increase;
37Loute a neih ua, grep huante a bawl ua, a gah hong pungte a muh theihna ding un.
38And he blesseth them, so that they are multiplied greatly; and he suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
38Amau tuh vual a jawla, huchiin nakpi taka hihpunin a om ua; a gante uh a kiam a phal kei hi.
39And they are diminished and brought low, through oppression, adversity, and sorrow:
39Huan, nuaisiahte, gimthuaknate, lungkhamna te jiakin a kiamta hiaihiai ua, a kun ngiungiauta leuleu uhi.
40He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;
40Aman miliante tungah muhsitna a sungbuaa, gamdai, lampi himhim omlouhna ah a vak saksaka.
41But he secureth the needy one on high from affliction, and maketh [him] families like flocks.
41Himahleh gentheite tuh gimthuakna akipanin mun sangah a khatou hi, gan hon bangin inkuanpihte asiamsak hi.
42The upright shall see it, and rejoice; and all unrighteousness shall stop its mouth.
