1{An instruction of David; when he was in the cave: a prayer.} I cry unto Jehovah with my voice: with my voice unto Jehovah do I make supplication.
1Ka awin, Toupa ka sama; ka awin Toupa kiangah hehpihna ka gen jel
2I pour out my plaint before him; I shew before him my trouble.
2A maah ka mangbat thu ka gena; a maah ka buaina ka theisak jel.
3When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then *thou* knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they hidden a snare for me.
3Ka kha ka sunga a bahlaiin, nangmah ngaiin ka lampi na theia. Ka paina lampi-ah ka awkna dingin thang a guk kam uhi.
4Look on the right hand and see; there is no man that knoweth me: refuge hath failed me; no man careth for my soul.
4Ka taklamah om inla, en dih, kuamah honthei himhim a omta kei ua; ka kihumbitna a omta keia; kuamah himhimin ka hinna a limsakta kei uhi.
5I cried unto thee, Jehovah; I said, Thou art my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.
5Toupa aw, kon sama; nang ka kihumbitna, mihing gama ka tantuam na hi, ka chi a.
6Attend unto my cry, for I am brought very low; deliver me from my persecutors, for they are stronger than I.
6Ka kikou husa ngaikhia in; nakpi taka hihniamin ka omta ngala. Honsimmohte lakah honhumbit in; kei sangin a hat zo ngalua.Na min ka phat theihna dingin, ka hinna suangkulh akipanin pi khia in: mi diktatten honum suak ding ua; nang hoihtaka non hih ding jiakin.
7Bring my soul out of prison, that I may celebrate thy name. The righteous shall surround me, because thou dealest bountifully with me.
7Na min ka phat theihna dingin, ka hinna suangkulh akipanin pi khia in: mi diktatten honum suak ding ua; nang hoihtaka non hih ding jiakin.
