¹{A Psalm of David: dedication-song of the house.} I will extol thee, Jehovah; for thou hast delivered me, and hast not made mine enemies to rejoice over me.

²Jehovah my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

³Jehovah, thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol, thou hast quickened me from among those that go down to the pit.

³TOUPA aw, nang ka hinna Sheol akipan na pi khia a; kokhuka ka paisuk louhnadingin nang na honhum hing jel hi.

⁴Sing psalms unto Jehovah, ye saints of his, and give thanks in remembrance of his holiness.

⁴A mi siangthoute aw, TOUPA phatin lasa unla, a min siangthou phat un.

⁵For a moment [is passed] in his anger, a life in his favour; at even weeping cometh for the night, and at morn there is rejoicing.

⁵A hehna tuh mitphiatkal phet ahi ngala; a deihsakna ah hinna a om hi; kahna giak dingin nitaklam chiah a honglut theia, jingsangin bel nuamna a hongtung nak hi.

⁶As for me, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.

⁶Ken jaw nuam ka sak laiin, Chikmah chiangin ka ling kei ding, ka chi a.

⁷Jehovah, by thy favour thou hadst made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face; I was troubled.

⁷TOUPA nang na deihsakna jiakin ka mual tuh na ding kipsak ta a; himahleh na mai na sela, ka hong mangbangta hi.

⁸I called to thee, Jehovah, and unto the Lord did I make supplication:

⁸TOUPA aw, nang kon sama; TOUPA kiang mahah hehpihna ka ngen hi:

⁹What profit is there in my blood, in my going down to the pit? shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

⁹Kokhuka ka paisuk leh, ka sisan ah punna bang ahia om ding! Leivuiin honphat ding hia? na thutak a gen sin maw?

¹⁰Hear, O Jehovah, and be gracious unto me; Jehovah, be my helper.

¹⁰TOUPA aw, ngaikhia inla, hon hehpihin: TOUPA, nang honpanpihpa hiin.

¹¹Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

¹¹Ka sunna kei dingin lamna na suak saka; ka saiip puan non suahsaka, kipahna nontengsak hi.Ka thupina dai nilouh lou-a, nangmah phata la a sakna dingin TOUPA ka Pathian aw, khantawnin kipahthu ka honhilh gige ding hi.

¹²That [my] glory may sing psalms of thee, and not be silent. Jehovah my God, I will praise thee for ever.
