1{To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.} I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a muzzle, while the wicked is before me.
1Ka leia thil ka hihkhelh louhna dingin ka omdante ka veng hoih dinga; mi gilou-saloute ka maa a om sung teng uh ka kam mukgak nain ka gak ding ka chi.
2I was dumb with silence, I held my peace from good; and my sorrow was stirred.
2Huchiin dai didein pau louin ka om a, a hoihlam ah leng ka dai dide a; himahleh ka lungngaihna tuh tohthohin a om zosopa.
3My heart burned within me; the fire was kindled in my musing: I spoke with my tongue,
3Ka sung ah ka lung a sa vutvut; ka ngaihtuah ka ngaihtuah in mei tuh a kuang khia a; huan, ka leiin thu ka genta hi.
4Make me to know, Jehovah, mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: I shall know how frail I am.
4Toupa, ka tawpna ding leh, ka damchiang ding, bangchi ahi, chih, hon theisak inla; ka hinna bek in dan hontheisak in.
5Behold, thou hast made my days [as] hand-breadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before thee; verily, every man, [even] the high placed, is altogether vanity. Selah.
5Ngaiin, ka damsung tuh khutpek tan phetin na siama; ka kum tuh na mitmuhin bangmah tham ahi keia; mi chih a hoih lai pen un a vek un bangmahlou lel ahi uhi. Selah.
6Verily, man walketh in a vain show; verily they are disquieted in vain; he heapeth up [riches], and knoweth not who shall gather them.
6Mi chih nuamsa bangin a vak ngei ua; a mawk buai ngei nak uhi. Gou a khawl khawm ua, a luah ding lah a theikei uhi.
7And now, what wait I for, Lord? my hope is in thee.
7Huan, Toupa, tunah bang ka ngak dia? Nangmah ah ahi ka lametna a om.
8Deliver me from all my transgressions; make me not the reproach of the foolish.
8Ka tatlekna tengteng lakah honhonkhia inla: mihai gensiat in hon omsak ken.
9I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; for *thou* hast done [it].
9Nangmah hih a hih jiak in ka pau keia, ka kam leng ka ka kei hi.
10Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thy hand.
10Na hasotna ka kiang akipan honlak suansak inla; na khut khaka hihman ka hi hi.
11When thou with rebukes dost correct a man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely, every man is vanity. Selah.
11Mi a tatlekna jiaka thuhilha na sawiin, a deihlai pen leikha bangin na hihse naka; mi chih bangmahlou lel ahi uhi. Selah.
12Hear my prayer, Jehovah, and give ear unto my cry; be not silent at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, a sojourner, like all my fathers.
12Toupa aw, ka thumna ngaikhia inla, ka kikou na ah na bil doh inla; ka khitui kia daihsan ken: na mikhual ka hi a, ka pipute tengteng bangin zintammi ka hi ngala.Aw, hiai a kipan ka pawta, ka omlouh paisuak vengveng main, ka halh nawnna ding in honhawi in.
13Look away from me, and let me recover strength, before I go hence and be no more.
13Aw, hiai a kipan ka pawta, ka omlouh paisuak vengveng main, ka halh nawnna ding in honhawi in.
