¹The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah hath anointed me to announce glad tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and opening of the prison to them that are bound;

¹ خدای قادر متعال مرا از روح پُر ساخته است. او مرا فرستاده تا به مسکینان بشارت، و شکسته‌دلان را شفا دهم، و رهایی اسیران و آزادی زندانیان را اعلام کنم.

²to proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

² او مرا فرستاده تا اعلام کنم زمان نجات قوم به وسیلهٔ خداوند و شکست دشمنان آنها فرا رسیده است. او مرا فرستاده تا به سوگواران تسلّی دهم.

³to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, that beauty should be given unto them instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness: that they might be called terebinths of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

³ به سوگواران صهیون به جای غم، شادی و خوشی و به جای غصّه، سرود تمجید بدهم. آنها مانند درختانی هستند که خداوند خودش کاشته است. آنها هر آنچه را راست و درست است، به جا می‌آورند، و خداوند به‌خاطر آنچه کرده است، ستایش می‌شود.

⁴And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the places desolate from generation to generation.

⁴ آنها شهرهایی را که مدّت زیادی ویران بوده دوباره خواهند ساخت.

⁵And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your ploughmen and your vinedressers.

⁵ ای قوم من، بیگانگان در خدمت شما خواهند بود. آنها از گلّه‌های شما نگهداری می‌کنند، و مزارع و تاکستانهای شما را کشت خواهند کرد.

⁶But as for you, ye shall be called priests of Jehovah; it shall be said of you: Ministers of our God. Ye shall eat the wealth of the nations, and into their glory shall ye enter.

⁶ و شما، کاهنان خداوند و خادمان خدا خوانده خواهید شد. از ثروت ملّتها لذّت خواهید برد و از اینکه همهٔ آنها متعلّق به شما خواهد بود، افتخار خواهید کرد.

⁷Instead of your shame [ye shall have] double; instead of confusion they shall celebrate with joy their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double; everlasting joy shall be unto them.

⁷ خجالت و شرمساری تو پایان یافته است. تو در سرزمین خودت زندگی خواهی کرد و ثروت تو دو چندان خواهد شد، و شادی تو ابدی خواهد بود.

⁸For I, Jehovah, love judgment, I hate robbery with wrong; and I will give their recompence in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

⁸ خداوند می‌گوید: «عدالت را دوست دارم و از ظلم و جنایت متنفّرم. من با قوم خودم پیمانی ابدی می‌بندم و وفادارانه به آنها پاداش خواهم داد.

⁹And their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are a seed that Jehovah hath blessed.

⁹ آنها در میان تمام ملّتها مشهور خواهند بود و هرکس آنها را ببیند خواهد دانست که آنها قوم من هستند و من آنها را برکت داده‌ام.»

¹⁰I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with the priestly turban, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

¹⁰ اورشلیم از آنچه خداوند کرده در وجد است. او مثل عروسی است که لباس بر تن دارد. خداوند او را به لباس نجات و پیروزی ملبّس کرده است. همان‌طور که بذرها در زمین جوانه می‌زنند و رشد می‌کنند، به همان نحو خدای متعال قوم خودش را نجات می‌دهد، و تمام دنیا او را ستایش خواهند کرد.

¹¹For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as a garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

¹¹ همان‌طور که بذرها در زمین جوانه می‌زنند و رشد می‌کنند، به همان نحو خدای متعال قوم خودش را نجات می‌دهد، و تمام دنیا او را ستایش خواهند کرد.
