¹ALEPH. Blessed are the perfect in the way, who walk in the law of Jehovah.

¹ خوشا به حال کسانی‌که زندگی پاک و بی‌عیبی دارند و پیرو تعالیم الهی هستند.

²Blessed are they that observe his testimonies, that seek him with the whole heart;

² خوشا به حال آنهایی که دستورات او را بجا می‌آورند و از صمیم دل مطیع او هستند.

³Who also do no unrighteousness: they walk in his ways.

³ هرگز خطا نمی‌کنند، بلکه در راه خداوند، قدم برمی‌دارند.

⁴Thou hast enjoined thy precepts, to be kept diligently.

⁴ تو احکام خود را به ما دادی تا با دقّت کامل از آنها پیروی کنیم.

⁵Oh that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

⁵ می‌‌‌‌خواهم که از دل و جان اوامر تو را بجا آورم.

⁶Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

⁶ اگر در انجام احکام تو، کوشش به خرج دهم شرمنده نخواهم شد.

⁷I will give thee thanks with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

⁷ وقتی راه راست را در زندگی بیاموزم، با دل پاک، تو را ستایش خواهم نمود.

⁸I will keep thy statutes: forsake me not utterly.

⁸ من احکام تو را اطاعت خواهم کرد، هرگز مرا ترک مکن.

⁹BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his path? by taking heed according to thy word.

⁹ مرد جوان چگونه می‌تواند پاک زندگی کند؟ با اطاعت از احکام تو.

¹⁰With my whole heart have I sought thee: let me not wander from thy commandments.

¹⁰ از دل و جان طالب تو هستم، نگذار که از احکام تو روی گردان شوم.

¹¹Thy ùword have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.

¹¹ کلام تو را در دل نگاه می‌دارم تا مرتکب گناه نشوم.

¹²Blessed art thou, Jehovah! teach me thy statutes.

¹² خداوندا، تو متبارک هستی! احکام خود را به من بیاموز.

¹³With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

¹³ تمام دستوراتی را که به ما داده‌ای به دیگران بیان می‌کنم.

¹⁴I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as [much as] in all wealth.

¹⁴ پیروی از احکام تو را بیشتر از کسب ثروت دوست می‌دارم.

¹⁵I will meditate upon thy precepts, and have respect unto thy paths.

¹⁵ دربارهٔ احکام تو تفکّر می‌کنم و به تعالیم تو توجّه می‌نمایم.

¹⁶I delight myself in thy statutes; I will not forget thy word.

¹⁶ از احکام تو لذّت می‌برم و دستورات تو را فراموش نخواهم كرد.

¹⁷GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant [and] I shall live; and I will keep thy word.

¹⁷ به این بنده‌ات احسان کن تا زنده بمانم و از کلام تو پیروی کنم.

¹⁸Open mine eyes, and I shall behold wondrous things out of thy law.

¹⁸ چشمانم را بازکن تا حقایق عالی احکام تو را ببینم.

¹⁹I am a stranger in the land; hide not thy commandments from me.

¹⁹ در این دنیا غریب هستم، پس احکامت را از من پنهان مکن.

²⁰My soul breaketh for longing after thy judgments at all times.

²⁰ اشتیاق شدید برای دانستن احکام تو، پیوسته قلبم را به تپش در می‌آورد.

²¹Thou hast rebuked the proud [that are] cursed, who wander from thy commandments.

²¹ تو افراد متکبّر ملعون را که از احکام تو اطاعت نمی‌کنند، مجازات می‌نمایی.

²²Roll off from me reproach and contempt; for I observe thy testimonies.

²² چون من پیرو تعالیم تو هستم، مگذار که آنها مرا تحقیر و توهین کنند.

²³Princes also did sit [and] talk together against me: thy servant doth meditate in thy statutes.

²³ هرچند حاکمان علیه من توطئه می‌کنند، من دربارهٔ تعالیم تو تفکّر می‌کنم.

²⁴Thy testimonies also are my delight [and] my counsellors.

²⁴ دستورات تو مایهٔ شادی من است، زیرا آنها راهنمای من می‌باشند.

²⁵DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken me according to thy word.

²⁵ جان من به خاک چسبیده است، برحسب کلام خود مرا زنده بساز.

²⁶I have declared my ways, and thou hast answered me: teach me thy statutes.

²⁶ کارهایی را که در زندگی کرده بودم، برای تو بیان کردم و تو به من جواب دادی. اکنون احکام خود را به من بیاموز.

²⁷Make me to understand the way of thy precepts, and I will meditate upon thy wondrous works.

²⁷ احکام خود را به من بفهمان و من دربارهٔ کارهای عالی تو تفکّر خواهم کرد.

²⁸My soul melteth for sadness: strengthen me according to thy word.

²⁸ از شدّت غم و اندوه جانم به لبم رسیده است، مطابق وعدهٔ خود مرا تقویت نما.

²⁹Remove from me the way of falsehood, and graciously grant me thy law.

²⁹ مرا از راه خطا باز‌دار و از روی رحمت خود احکامت را به من بیاموز.

³⁰I have chosen the way of faithfulness; thy judgments have I set [before me].

³⁰ من راه راست را انتخاب کرده‌ام و اوامر تو را پیش روی خود گذاشته‌ام.

³¹I cleave unto thy testimonies; Jehovah, let me not be ashamed.

³¹ خداوندا، من از احکام تو پیروی کرده‌ام، مگذار که شرمنده گردم.

³²I will run the way of thy commandments when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

³² چون تو به من فهم و دانش بیشتری عطا می‌کنی، من با کمال اشتیاق از احکام تو پیروی خواهم نمود.

³³HE. Teach me, O Jehovah, the way of thy statutes, and I will observe it [unto] the end.

³³ خداوندا، راه انجام دستوراتت را به من بیاموز و من همیشه آنها را بجا خواهم آورد.

³⁴Give me understanding, and I will observe thy law; and I will keep it with [my] whole heart.

³⁴ به من حکمت و دانش عطا كن تا احکام تو را از صمیم قلب بجا آورم.

³⁵Make me to walk in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

³⁵ مرا به راه احکامت هدایت فرما زیرا از آنها لذّت می‌برم.

³⁶Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to gain.

³⁶ دلم را به اطاعت از اوامرت مایل گردان، نه به مال دنیا.

³⁷Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; quicken me in thy way.

³⁷ چشمانم را از دیدن چیزهای باطل بازدار و مرا به راه خود هدایت کن.

³⁸Establish thy ùword unto thy servant, who is [devoted] to thy fear.

³⁸ مرا از وعده‌های خود مطمئن ساز، وعده‏هایی که به ترسندگان خود داده‌ای.

³⁹Turn away my reproach which I fear; for thy judgments are good.

³⁹ مرا از رسوایی كه از آن ترسانم برهان، زیرا داوری‌های تو نیكوست.

⁴⁰Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

⁴⁰ اشتیاق دارم که احکام تو را بجا آورم، ای خدای عادل، زندگی تازه‌ای به من عطا کن.

⁴¹VAU. And let thy loving-kindness come unto me, O Jehovah, -- thy salvation according to thy ùword.

⁴¹ خداوندا، مرا از محبّت پایدار خود برخوردار کن و مطابق وعدهٔ خود مرا نجات بده.

⁴²So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me; for I confide in thy word.

⁴² آنگاه می‌توانم به کسانی‌که مرا سرزنش می‌کنند، جواب بدهم، زیرا به کلام تو توکّل نموده‌ام.

⁴³And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; because I have hoped in thy judgments.

⁴³ من را کمک کن تا همیشه حقایق احکام تو را بیان کنم، چون امید من به داوری‌های توست.

⁴⁴Then will I keep thy law continually, for ever and ever;

⁴⁴ من همیشه از شریعت تو اطاعت خواهم کرد. تا ابدالآباد

⁴⁵And I will walk at liberty, for I have sought thy precepts;

⁴⁵ با آزادی کامل زندگی خواهم نمود، زیرا مطیع تعالیم تو هستم.

⁴⁶And I will speak of thy testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed;

⁴⁶ احکام تو را بدون خجالت برای پادشاهان بیان خواهم كرد.

⁴⁷And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved;

⁴⁷ از انجام احکام تو شادمانم، زیرا آنها را دوست می‌دارم.

⁴⁸And I will lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I have loved, and I will meditate in thy statutes.

⁴⁸ اوامر تو را دوست دارم و به آنها احترام می‌گذارم.

⁴⁹ZAIN. Remember the word for thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

⁴⁹ وعده‌هایی را که به این بنده‌ات داده‌ای به یاد آور، زیرا آنها به من امید داده‏اند.

⁵⁰This is my comfort in mine affliction; for thy ùword hath quickened me.

⁵⁰ حتّی در هنگام سختی، آرامش داشتم، زیرا وعدهٔ تو به من زندگی می‌بخشد.

⁵¹The proud have derided me beyond measure: I have not declined from thy law.

⁵¹ مردمان متکبّر همیشه مرا مسخره می‌کنند، امّا من هرگز احکام تو را ترک نكرده‏ام.

⁵²I remembered thy judgments of old, O Jehovah, and have comforted myself.

⁵² خداوندا، داوری‌های تو را از سالهای قدیم به یاد می‌آورم و آنها به من آرامش می‌بخشند.

⁵³Burning indignation hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked who forsake thy law.

⁵³ وقتی می‌بینم که اشخاص شریر احکام تو را بجا نمی‌آورند، از خشم به جوش می‌آیم.

⁵⁴Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

⁵⁴ هر کجا که زندگی کنم، برای احکام تو سرود خواهم ساخت.

⁵⁵I have remembered thy name, O Jehovah, in the night, and have kept thy law.

⁵⁵ خداوندا، شب هنگام تو را به یاد می‌آورم و دربارهٔ احکام تو تفکّر می‌کنم.

⁵⁶This I have had, because I have observed thy precepts.

⁵⁶ من خوشی خود را در اطاعت اوامر تو یافته‌ام.

⁵⁷CHETH. My portion, O Jehovah, I have said, is to keep thy words.

⁵⁷ خداوندا، تو همه‌چیز من هستی، قول می‌دهم که شریعت تو را بجا آورم.

⁵⁸I have sought thy favour with [my] whole heart: be gracious unto me according to thy ùword.

⁵⁸ از دل و جان خواستار رضای تو می‌باشم، مطابق وعدهٔ خود بر من رحم فرما.

⁵⁹I have thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

⁵⁹ به رفتار خود توجّه کردم و قول می‌دهم که از تعالیم تو پیروی کنم.

⁶⁰I have made haste, and not delayed, to keep thy commandments.

⁶⁰ بی‌درنگ و با شتاب، از اوامر تو اطاعت می‌کنم.

⁶¹The bands of the wicked have wrapped me round: I have not forgotten thy law.

⁶¹ شریران برای من دام گستردند، امّا من شریعت تو را فراموش نمی‌كنم.

⁶²At midnight I rise up to give thanks unto thee, because of thy righteous judgments.

⁶² نیمهٔ شب بیدار می‌شوم، و تو را به‌خاطر داوری عادلانه‌ات ستایش می‌کنم.

⁶³I am the companion of all that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.

⁶³ من دوست کسانی هستم که به تو احترام می‌گذارند و شریعت تو را بجا می‌آورند.

⁶⁴The earth, O Jehovah, is full of thy loving-kindness: teach me thy statutes.

⁶⁴ خداوندا، جهان از محبّت پایدار تو پُر است، احکام خود را به من بیاموز.

⁶⁵TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Jehovah, according to thy word.

⁶⁵ خداوندا، مطابق وعده‌ات به بندهٔ خود احسان نمودی.

⁶⁶Teach me good discernment and knowledge; for I have believed in thy commandments.

⁶⁶ به من حکمت و دانش بیاموز، زیرا به اوامر تو اعتماد دارم.

⁶⁷Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep thy ùword.

⁶⁷ پیش از آن که مرا تنبیه نمایی، من گمراه بودم، امّا اینک مطیع کلام تو هستم.

⁶⁸Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.

⁶⁸ تو چقدر خوب و مهربان هستی، اوامر خود را به من بیاموز.

⁶⁹The proud have forged falsehood against me: I will observe thy precepts with [my] whole heart.

⁶⁹ مردم متکبّر دربارهٔ من دروغ گفتند، امّا من با تمام دل اوامر تو را اطاعت می‌کنم.

⁷⁰Their heart is as fat as grease: as for me, I delight in thy law.

⁷⁰ اینها اشخاص بی‌شعور و تن‌پرور می‌باشند، ولی شریعت تو به من لذّت می‌بخشند.

⁷¹It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I might learn thy statutes.

⁷¹ تنبیه من به نفع من بود، زیرا سبب شد که اوامر تو را یاد بگیرم.

⁷²The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

⁷² شریعت تو برای من بیشتر از هزاران سکّهٔ طلا و نقره ارزش دارد.

⁷³YOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, and I will learn thy commandments.

⁷³ تو مرا ساخته و آفریده‌ای، پس به من دانش عطا فرما تا شریعت تو را بفهمم.

⁷⁴They that fear thee will see me, and rejoice; because I have hoped in thy word.

⁷⁴ آنانی‌ که از تو می‌ترسند، از دیدن من خوشحال می‌شوند، چون من هم به وعدهٔ تو امیدوارم.

⁷⁵I know, Jehovah, that thy Judgments are righteousness, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.

⁷⁵ خداوندا، می‌دانم که قضاوت تو عادلانه است و مرا نیز از روی انصاف تنبیه نمودی.

⁷⁶Oh let thy loving-kindness be for my comfort, according to thy ùword unto thy servant.

⁷⁶ اکنون مطابق وعده‌ات، بندهٔ خود را از محبّت پایدارت آرامی ببخش.

⁷⁷Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live; for thy law is my delight.

⁷⁷ مرا از رحمت خود برخوردار کن تا زنده بمانم، زیرا شریعت تو مایهٔ شادمانی من است.

⁷⁸Let the proud be ashamed; for they have acted perversely towards me with falsehood: as for me, I meditate in thy precepts.

⁷⁸ اشخاص متکبّر که با دروغهای خود مرا متّهم ساختند، خجل و شرمنده شوند، امّا من همیشه به تعالیم و اوامر تو تفكّر خواهم نمود.

⁷⁹Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that know thy testimonies.

⁷⁹ آنهایی که از تو می‌ترسند پیش من بیایند، آنان كه اوامر تو را می‌دانند.

⁸⁰Let my heart be perfect in thy statutes, that I be not ashamed.

⁸⁰ مرا یاری كن تا با دلی پاک احکام تو را بجا آورم و شرمنده و سرافکنده نشوم.

⁸¹CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation; I hope in thy word.

⁸¹ خداوندا، از انتظار اینکه مرا نجات بدهی، خسته شده‌ام، امید من به وعده‌های تو می‌باشد.

⁸²Mine eyes fail for thy ùword, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?

⁸² چشمانم در انتظار وعده‌های تو تار گشته‌اند و می‌پرسم: «چه وقت مرا کمک خواهی کرد؟»

⁸³For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; I do not forget thy statutes.

⁸³ هرچند مانند مشک شرابِ پوسیده، بی‌فایده شده‌ام، امّا اوامر تو را فراموش نکرده‌ام.

⁸⁴How many shall be the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?

⁸⁴ تا کی باید صبر کنم؟ چه وقت آنانی را که مرا عذاب می‌دهند، مجازات خواهی کرد؟

⁸⁵The proud have digged pits for me, which is not according to thy law.

⁸⁵ متکبّران و آنانی که با کلام تو مخالفند، برای من چاه کنده‌اند.

⁸⁶All thy commandments are faithfulness. They persecute me wrongfully: help thou me.

⁸⁶ تمام اوامر تو قابل اعتماد هستند، مرا کمک کن زیرا متکبّران بی‌جهت مرا آزار می‌دهند.

⁸⁷They had almost consumed me upon the earth; but as for me, I forsook not thy precepts.

⁸⁷ گرچه نزدیک بود به زندگی من خاتمه بدهند، امّا من از اوامر تو سرپیچی نکردم.

⁸⁸Quicken me according to thy loving-kindness, and I will keep the testimony of thy mouth.

⁸⁸ به‌خاطر محبّت پایدارت بر من رحمت فرما تا شریعت تو را بجا آورم.

⁸⁹LAMED. For ever, O Jehovah, thy word is settled in the heavens.

⁸⁹ خداوندا، کلام تو تا ابد باقی است؛ آن کلام در آسمانها پایدار است.

⁹⁰Thy faithfulness is from generation to generation: thou hast established the earth, and it standeth.

⁹⁰ وفاداری تو در تمام نسلها پایدار است، تو زمین را آفریده‌ای و استوار خواهد بود.

⁹¹By thine ordinances they stand this day; for all things are thy servants.

⁹¹ تمام آفرینش به فرمان تو ایستاده است، زیرا همه در خدمت تو هستند.

⁹²Unless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

⁹² اگر احکام تو مایهٔ شادی من نمی‌بود، تا به حال از پریشانی تلف شده بودم.

⁹³I will never forget thy precepts; for by them thou hast quickened me.

⁹³ از تعالیم تو هرگز سرپیچی نمی‌نمایم، زیرا به‌خاطر آنهاست که تو مرا زنده نگاه داشته‌ای.

⁹⁴I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.

⁹⁴ من از آن تو هستم، مرا نجات بده، زیرا کوشش کرده‌ام تا اوامر تو را بجا آورم.

⁹⁵The wicked have awaited me to destroy me; [but] I attend unto thy testimonies.

⁹⁵ شریران قصد دارند مرا از بین ببرند، امّا من بر شریعت تو تفکّر خواهم نمود.

⁹⁶I have seen an end of all perfection: thy commandment is exceeding broad.

⁹⁶ هر چیز پایانی دارد، امّا کلام تو بی‌انتهاست.

⁹⁷MEM. Oh how I love thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

⁹⁷ شریعت تو را چقدر دوست می‌‌دارم، تمام روز به آن فکر می‌کنم.

⁹⁸Thy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies; for they are ever with me.

⁹⁸ احکام تو مرا از دشمنانم حکیمتر می‌سازد، زیرا که همیشه درنظر من هستند.

⁹⁹I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my meditation.

⁹⁹ از معلّمین خود داناتر شده‌ام، زیرا همیشه به تعالیم تو فکر می‌کنم.

¹⁰⁰I understand more than the aged, because I have observed thy precepts.

¹⁰⁰ از افراد پیر و سالخورده داناتر هستم، زیرا مطیع دستورات تو هستم.

¹⁰¹I have refrained my feet from every evil path, that I might keep thy word.

¹⁰¹ پای خود را از راه بد باز داشته‌ام، تا احکام تو را اطاعت کنم.

¹⁰²I have not departed from thy judgments; for it is thou that hast taught me.

¹⁰² از اوامر تو سرپیچی نمی‌کنم، چون تو آنها را به من آموخته‌ای.

¹⁰³How sweet are thy ùwords unto my taste! more than honey to my mouth!

¹⁰³ کلام تو به دهان من چقدر شیرین است، حتّی از عسل نیز شیرینتر است.

¹⁰⁴From thy precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false path.

¹⁰⁴ شریعت تو به من حکمت می‌آموزد، بنابراین از هر راه بد نفرت دارم.

¹⁰⁵NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

¹⁰⁵ کلام تو برای پاهای من چراغ، و برای راههای من نور است.

¹⁰⁶I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

¹⁰⁶ قسم خورده بودم و به آن وفادار هستم که از اوامر عادلانهٔ تو پیروی کنم.

¹⁰⁷I am afflicted very much; O Jehovah, quicken me according to thy word.

¹⁰⁷ خداوندا، سخت پریشانم، مطابق وعده‌ات مرا زنده بساز.

¹⁰⁸Accept, I beseech thee, Jehovah, the voluntary-offerings of my mouth, and teach me thy judgments.

¹⁰⁸ خداوندا، شکرگزاری مرا قبول فرما و احکام و اوامر خود را به من بیاموز.

¹⁰⁹My life is continually in my hand; but I do not forget thy law.

¹⁰⁹ جان من همیشه در خطر است، امّا شریعت تو را فراموش نكرده‏ام.

¹¹⁰The wicked have laid a snare for me; but I have not wandered from thy precepts.

¹¹⁰ شریران برای من دام گسترده‌اند، امّا من از فرمان تو سرپیچی نمی‌کنم.

¹¹¹Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever; for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

¹¹¹ احکام تو برای من گنجی بی‌پایان است، زیرا آنها شادی دل من هستند.

¹¹²I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes for ever, unto the end.

¹¹² تصمیم گرفته‌ام تا روزی که زنده‌ام از شریعت تو اطاعت نمایم.

¹¹³SAMECH. The double-minded have I hated; but thy law do I love.

¹¹³ از اشخاص دو رو بیزارم، امّا شریعت تو را دوست دارم.

¹¹⁴Thou art my hiding-place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

¹¹⁴ تو پناهگاه و پشتیبان من هستی، به وعده‌های تو امیدوارم.

¹¹⁵Depart from me, ye evil-doers; and I will observe the commandments of my God.

¹¹⁵ ای بدکاران از من دور شوید، تا من اوامر خدای خود را بجا آورم.

¹¹⁶Uphold me according to thy ùword, that I may live; and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

¹¹⁶ خداوندا، مطابق وعده‌ات به من قوّت عطا کن تا زنده بمانم و نگذار كه امیدم به ناامیدی تبدیل شود.

¹¹⁷Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe; and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.

¹¹⁷ مرا محافظت کن تا در امنیّت باشم و اوامر تو را بجا آورم.

¹¹⁸Thou hast set at nought all them that wander from thy statutes; for their deceit is falsehood.

¹¹⁸ کسانی که اوامر تو را اطاعت نمی‌کنند، از حضور خود می‌رانی و نقشه‌هایشان را باطل می‌سازی.

¹¹⁹Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth [like] dross; therefore I love thy testimonies.

¹¹⁹ همهٔ مردم شریر را مانند تفاله دور می‌ریزی، بنابراین من تعالیم تو را دوست دارم.

¹²⁰My flesh shuddereth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.

¹²⁰ از ترس تو به خود می‌لرزم و از داوری‌هایت وحشت می‌کنم.

¹²¹AIN. I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.

¹²¹ کارهای من درست و پسندیده بوده‌اند، مرا به دست دشمنانم مسپار.

¹²²Be surety for thy servant for good; let not the proud oppress me.

¹²² مرا مطمئن ساز که کمکم می‌کنی و نمی‌گذاری که اشخاص متکبّر بر من ظلم کنند.

¹²³Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the ùword of thy righteousness.

¹²³ چشمانم در انتظار نجات تو تار گشته‌اند، برای نجاتی كه وعده داده‏ای.

¹²⁴Deal with thy servant according to thy loving-kindness, and teach me thy statutes.

¹²⁴ مطابق محبّت پایدار خود با من رفتار نما و اوامر خود را به من بیاموز.

¹²⁵I am thy servant; give me understanding that I may know thy testimonies.

¹²⁵ من بندهٔ تو هستم، مرا دانایی عطا فرما تا تعالیم تو را بفهمم.

¹²⁶It is time for Jehovah to work: they have made void thy law.

¹²⁶ زمان آن رسیده است که خداوند اقدام نماید، زیرا مردم شریعت او را اطاعت نمی‌کنند.

¹²⁷Therefore I love thy commandments above gold, yea, above fine gold.

¹²⁷ من اوامر تو را از طلای ناب بیشتر دوست دارم.

¹²⁸Therefore I regard all [thy] precepts concerning all things to be right: I hate every false path.

¹²⁸ تمام کارهای خود را مطابق احکام تو انجام خواهم داد و از هر راه نادرست نفرت دارم.

¹²⁹PE. Thy testimonies are wonderful; therefore doth my soul observe them.

¹²⁹ تعالیم تو بسیار عالی است، از دل و جان آنها را انجام خواهم داد.

¹³⁰The entrance of thy words giveth light, giving understanding unto the simple.

¹³⁰ درک تعالیم تو ذهن آدمی را روشن می‌کند و ساده دلان را حکیم می‌گرداند.

¹³¹I opened my mouth wide and panted; for I longed for thy commandments.

¹³¹ با اشتیاق برای فرامین تو لَه‌لَه می‌زنم.

¹³²Turn unto me, and be gracious unto me, as thou art wont to do unto those that love thy name.

¹³² همان‌طور که بر دوستدارانت رحمت داری، بر من نیز رحمت فرما.

¹³³Establish my steps in thy ùword; and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

¹³³ مطابق کلامت مرا از لغزش محافظت فرما تا مغلوب بدی و شرارت نشوم.

¹³⁴Deliver me from the oppression of man; and I will keep thy precepts.

¹³⁴ مرا از شر کسانی‌که در پی آزار من هستند، نجات ده تا از احکام تو پیروی کنم.

¹³⁵Make thy face to shine upon thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.

¹³⁵ با نور حضور خود مرا برکت بده و شریعت خود را به من بیاموز.

¹³⁶Mine eyes run down with streams of water, because they keep not thy law.

¹³⁶ سیل اشک از چشمانم جاری است، زیرا مردم از شریعت تو پیروی نمی‌کنند.

¹³⁷TZADE. Righteous art thou, Jehovah, and upright are thy judgments.

¹³⁷ خداوندا، تو عادل هستی و از روی عدل و انصاف داوری می‌کنی.

¹³⁸Thou hast commanded thy testimonies in righteousness and exceeding faithfulness.

¹³⁸ قوانین تو، همه از روی عدل و انصاف است.

¹³⁹My zeal destroyeth me, because mine oppressors have forgotten thy words.

¹³⁹ آتش خشم، سراسر وجودم را می‌سوزاند، زیرا دشمنان من به احکام تو اعتنا نمی‌کنند.

¹⁴⁰Thy ùword is exceeding pure, and thy servant loveth it.

¹⁴⁰ وعده‏های تو به درستی آزموده شده‌اند و من آنها را دوست دارم.

¹⁴¹I am little and despised: thy precepts have I not forgotten.

¹⁴¹ من بنده‏ای ناچیز و نالایق هستم، امّا از انجام احکام تو سرپیچی نمی‌کنم.

¹⁴²Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth.

¹⁴² عدالت تو ابدی و شریعت تو درست است.

¹⁴³Trouble and anguish have taken hold upon me: thy commandments are my delights.

¹⁴³ سختی و مشکلات مرا فراگرفته است، امّا احکام تو موجب شادی من است.

¹⁴⁴The righteousness of thy testimonies is for ever: give me understanding, and I shall live.

¹⁴⁴ تعالیم تو همیشه عادلانه است، مرا در درک آنها یاری فرما تا زنده بمانم.

¹⁴⁵KOPH. I have called with [my] whole heart; answer me, O Jehovah: I will observe thy statutes.

¹⁴⁵ خداوندا، از صمیم دل به درگاه تو التماس می‌کنم، دعایم را مستجاب فرما تا اوامر تو را بجا آورم.

¹⁴⁶I call upon thee; save me, and I will keep thy testimonies.

¹⁴⁶ نزد تو دعا می‌کنم، مرا نجات بده و من شریعت تو را بجا خواهم آورد.

¹⁴⁷I anticipate the morning-dawn and I cry: I hope in thy word.

¹⁴⁷ سحرگاهان به پیشگاه تو دعا می‌کنم و از تو کمک می‌‌‌‌خواهم و امید من به وعدهٔ تو می‌باشد.

¹⁴⁸Mine eyes anticipate the night-watches, that I may meditate in thy ùword.

¹⁴⁸ شب تا سحر بیدار می‌مانم و به تعالیم تو فکر می‌کنم.

¹⁴⁹Hear my voice according to thy loving-kindness: O Jehovah, quicken me according to thy judgment.

¹⁴⁹ خداوندا، به‌خاطر محبّت پایدارت دعایم را بشنو، بر من رحمت فرما و مرا از مرگ نجات بده.

¹⁵⁰They have drawn nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.

¹⁵⁰ مردم بدخواه برای حمله به من نزدیک می‌شوند. آنها کسانی هستند که از شریعت تو پیروی نمی‌کنند.

¹⁵¹Thou, Jehovah, art near, and all thy commandments are truth.

¹⁵¹ امّا تو ای خداوند، با من هستی و احکام تو همیشه درست است.

¹⁵²From thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

¹⁵² از قدیم، تعالیم تو را آموختم و دانستم که همهٔ آنها ابدی هستند.

¹⁵³RESH. See mine affliction, and deliver me; for I have not forgotten thy law.

¹⁵³ درد و رنج مرا ببین و رهایی‌ام بده، زیرا از شریعت تو سرپیچی نکرده‌ام.

¹⁵⁴Plead my cause, and redeem me: quicken me according to thy ùword.

¹⁵⁴ از حق من دفاع کن و آزادم نما و مطابق وعده‌ای که داده‌ای، نجاتم بده.

¹⁵⁵Salvation is far from the wicked; for they seek not thy statutes.

¹⁵⁵ مردم شریر نجات نخواهند یافت، زیرا از شریعت تو اطاعت نمی‌کنند.

¹⁵⁶Many are thy tender mercies, O Jehovah; quicken me according to thy judgments.

¹⁵⁶ خداوندا، رحمت تو عظیم است، مطابق عدالت خود مرا رهایی‌ بده.

¹⁵⁷Many are my persecutors and mine oppressors; I have not declined from thy testimonies.

¹⁵⁷ من دشمنان و بدخواهان زیادی دارم، امّا از انجام شریعت تو غفلت نمی‌ورزم.

¹⁵⁸I beheld them that deal treacherously, and was grieved; because they kept not thy ùword.

¹⁵⁸ وقتی به شریران نگاه می‌کنم از آنها نفرت می‌کنم، زیرا احکام تو را بجا نمی‌آورند.

¹⁵⁹See how I have loved thy precepts: quicken me, O Jehovah, according to thy loving-kindness.

¹⁵⁹ خداوندا، ببین که به تعالیم تو چقدر علاقه دارم، محبّت پایدار تو تغییر ناپذیر است، پس زندگی مرا حفظ فرما.

¹⁶⁰The sum of thy word is truth, and every righteous judgment of thine is for ever.

¹⁶⁰ تمام احکام تو حق و عدالت تو ابدی است.

¹⁶¹SHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause; but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

¹⁶¹ حکمرانان بدون علّت مرا اذیّت می‌کنند، امّا ترس کلام تو در دل من است.

¹⁶²I have joy in thy ùword, as one that findeth great spoil.

¹⁶² مانند کسی‌که گنج بزرگی را یافته باشد، از وعده‏های تو شادمانم.

¹⁶³I hate and abhor falsehood; thy law do I love.

¹⁶³ از دروغ و ریا متنفّرم، ولی شریعت تو را دوست دارم.

¹⁶⁴Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

¹⁶⁴ به‌خاطر داوری‏های عادلانه‌ات هر روز هفت مرتبه تو را ستایش می‌کنم.

¹⁶⁵Great peace have they that love thy law, and nothing doth stumble them.

¹⁶⁵ کسانی‌که شریعت تو را دوست می‌دارند، از امنیّت کامل برخوردارند و هیچ چیزی نمی‌تواند آنها را گمراه سازد.

¹⁶⁶I have hoped for thy salvation, O Jehovah, and have done thy commandments.

¹⁶⁶ خداوندا، امید من به این است که تو مرا نجات دهی، من احکام تو را اطاعت می‌کنم.

¹⁶⁷My soul hath kept thy testimonies, and I love them exceedingly.

¹⁶⁷ از صمیم قلب تعالیم تو را بجا می‌آورم و آنها را دوست می‌دارم.

¹⁶⁸I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies; for all my ways are before thee.

¹⁶⁸ احکام و دستورات تو را اطاعت می‌کنم زیرا تو از هر کار من آگاه هستی.

¹⁶⁹TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, Jehovah: give me understanding according to thy word.

¹⁶⁹ خداوندا، ناله و زاری مرا بشنو و مطابق وعده‌ات به من فهم و دانش عطا فرما.

¹⁷⁰Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy ùword.

¹⁷⁰ دعای من به پیشگاه تو برسد و مرا طبق وعده‌ات رهایی بده.

¹⁷¹My lips shall pour forth praise when thou hast taught me thy statutes.

¹⁷¹ پیوسته تو را ستایش می‌کنم، زیرا شریعت خود را به من می‌آموزی.

¹⁷²My tongue shall speak aloud of thy ùword; for all thy commandments are righteousness.

¹⁷² دربارهٔ شریعت تو سرود می‌خوانم، زیرا تمام اوامر تو عادلانه است.

¹⁷³Let thy hand be for my help; for I have chosen thy precepts.

¹⁷³ برای کمک من آماده باش، زیرا که پیرو اوامر تو هستم.

¹⁷⁴I have longed for thy salvation, O Jehovah, and thy law is my delight.

¹⁷⁴ در آرزوی نجات از جانب تو می‌باشم و از شریعت تو لذّت می‌برم.

¹⁷⁵Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.

¹⁷⁵ به من طول عمر عطا فرما تا تو را ستایش کنم و تعالیم تو مرا یاری دهند. مانند گوسفند گمشده‌ای سرگردان شده‌ام، بیا و بنده‌ات را دریاب، زیرا شریعت تو را فراموش نکرده‌ام.

¹⁷⁶I have gone astray like a lost sheep: seek thy servant; for I have not forgotten thy commandments.

¹⁷⁶ مانند گوسفند گمشده‌ای سرگردان شده‌ام، بیا و بنده‌ات را دریاب، زیرا شریعت تو را فراموش نکرده‌ام.
