¹Verily, verily, I say to you, He that enters not in by the door to the fold of the sheep, but mounts up elsewhere, *he* is a thief and a robber;

¹"Phenav tumenge o chachimos, kodo kai chi del pa wudar ande shtala le bakriangi, numa kai anklel pa kaver rig, si ek chor ai nasul manush.

²but he that enters in by the door is [the] shepherd of the sheep.

²Numa kodo kai avel pa wudar si o pastuxo le bakriango.

³To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.

³Phutren o wudar angla leste, ai le bakria ashunen lesko glaso, ai akharel leske bakrorhen pa anaveste, ai ingerel le avri.

⁴When he has put forth all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.

⁴Kana ankaladia avri sa peske bakrorhan, phirel angla lende, ai le bakriorha zhan pala leste, ke prinzharen lesko glaso.

⁵But they will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him, because they know not the voice of strangers.

⁵Chi zhana pala iek streino; numa nashena dur lestar, ke chi prinzharena o glaso le streinosko."

⁶This allegory spoke Jesus to them, but they did not know what it was [of] which he spoke to them.

⁶O Jesus phendia lenge kadia paramichi, numa chi haliarde pa soste delas duma.

⁷Jesus therefore said again to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.

⁷O Jesus mai phendia lenge, "Phenav tumenge o chachimos, me sim o wudar le bakriango.

⁸All whoever came before me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not hear them.

⁸Sa le kaver kai avile mai anglal mandar si chor ai nasul manush, numa le bakrorha chi ashunde lenge.

⁹I am the door: if any one enter in by me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and shall go out and shall find pasture.

⁹Me sim o wudar. Kon avela andre mandar, avela skepime; dela andre ai anklela avri, ai arakhela ek kimpo kai si char (arakhel xabe).

¹⁰The thief comes not but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I am come that they might have life, and might have [it] abundantly.

¹⁰O chor avel ferdi te chorel, te mudarel, ai te pharhavel; me avilem te avel le manushen o traio, ai te avel len but traio ando mishtimos.

¹¹I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep:

¹¹"Me sim o lasho pastuxo. O lasho pastuxo del pesko traio pala peske bakriorha.

¹²but he who serves for wages, and who is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf seizes them and scatters the sheep.

¹²O buchari (o manush pochindo) kai nai o pastuxo, ai nai leske le bakriorha, nashel kana dikhel ke avel o ruv, ai o ruv lel len ai rhespil len.

¹³Now he who serves for wages flees because he serves for wages, and is not himself concerned about the sheep.

¹³Wo nashel ke si o buchari kai si pochindo, ai chi lel sama andal bakriorha.

¹⁴I am the good shepherd; and I know those that are mine, and am known of those that are mine,

¹⁴Me sim o lasho pastuxo. Zhanav murhe bakrorhan, ai won zhanen man.

¹⁵as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.

¹⁵Sar O Dat zhanel man, ai me zhanav le Dades. Me zhanav murhe bakriorhan ai won zhanen man; ai me dav murho traio pala murhe bakriorha.

¹⁶And I have other sheep which are not of this fold: those also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one flock, one shepherd.

¹⁶Mai si ma aver bakriorha, kai nai ande kadia shtala; trobul te anav vi len, te phiravav len te ashunen murho glaso; ai avena iek fialo bakriorha, ai iek pastuxosa.

¹⁷On this account the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it again.

¹⁷"O Dat drago mange ke dav murho traio, te lav les aver data palpale.

¹⁸No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have authority to lay it down and I have authority to take it again. I have received this commandment of my Father.

¹⁸Khonik chi lel murho traio mandar, numa dav les me mandar. Si ma e putiera te dav les, ai si ma e putiera te lav les palpale. Kadia si o zakono kai dia ma O Dat."

¹⁹There was a division again among the Jews on account of these words;

¹⁹Anda kodia le Zhiduvuria chi haliarenas mashkar pende pala kadala vorbi, ke chi pachan iek fielo.

²⁰but many of them said, He has a demon and raves; why do ye hear him?

²⁰But anda lende phenenas, si le iek beng ande leste! Dzilo lo! Sostar ashunen leste?"

²¹Others said, These sayings are not [those] of one that is possessed by a demon. Can a demon open blind people's eyes?

²¹Numa aver phenenas, "Iek manush kai si les beng ande leste nashti del duma kadia! Sar sai iek beng phutrel le iakha le korhenge?"

²²Now the feast of the dedication was celebrating at Jerusalem, and it was winter.

²²E vriama avili te keren O Dies O Baro le Zhidovongo ande Jerusalem; sas ivend.

²³And Jesus walked in the temple in the porch of Solomon.

²³Ai O Jesus phiravelaspe ande tampla ando kalidori le Solomonosko.

²⁴The Jews therefore surrounded him, and said to him, Until when dost thou hold our soul in suspense? If thou art the Christ, say [so] to us openly.

²⁴Le Zhiduvuria thodepe kolo lestar, ai phende leske, "Sode vriama zhi kana tu manges amen te zhanas? Phenes amenge o chachimos; "San tu O Kristo?"

²⁵Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye do not believe. The works which I do in my Father's name, these bear witness concerning me:

²⁵O Jesus phendia lenge, "Mai phendem tumenge, numa chi pachan ma. Le buchia kai kerav ando o anav murho Dadesko, sikaven pa mande.

²⁶but ye do not believe, for ye are not of my sheep, as I told you.

²⁶Numa tume chi pachan, ke tume chi san anda murhe bakria, sar phendem tumenge.

²⁷My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me;

²⁷Murhe bakria ashunen murho glaso, ai zhanav le, ai aven pala mande.

²⁸and I give them life eternal; and they shall never perish, and no one shall seize them out of my hand.

²⁸Ai dav le o traio le rhaiosko; ai chi xasavona shoxar, ai khonik chi lena le anda murho vas.

²⁹My Father who has given [them] to me is greater than all, and no one can seize out of the hand of my Father.

²⁹Murho Dat kai dia le mange, wo mai baro lo savorhendar; ai khonik nashti lel le anda vas murhe Dadesko.

³⁰I and the Father are one.

³⁰Me ai O Dat sam iek.

³¹The Jews therefore again took stones that they might stone him.

³¹Antunchi le Zhiduvuria mai line bax te shuden pe leste.

³²Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewn you of my Father; for which work of them do ye stone me?

³²O Jesus phendia lenge, "Sikadem tumenge but lashe buchia kai avile katar murho Dat; anda savi buchi tume mangen te shuden bax pe mande?"

³³The Jews answered him, For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy, and because thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

³³Le Zhiduvuria phende, phenenas, "Nai anda ek lashi buchi ke mangas te shudas bax pe tute, numa ke rimos le Devles, ai tu san ek manush ai keres anda tute Del!"

³⁴Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

³⁴O Jesus phendia lenge, "Si ramome ande tumaro zakono, Me phendem, 'Tume san dela?'

³⁵If he called *them* gods to whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken),

³⁵Ai ame zhanas ke e vorba le Devleski si chachi sa data ai nashtil te thol la rigate; ai O Del akhardia le dela, kodolenge kai O Del dia peske vorba.

³⁶do ye say of him whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am Son of God?

³⁶Ai man, O Dat alosardia ma ai tradia ma ande lumia. Sar, antunchi, sai phenen "Tu tromas te les o than le Devlesko," ke phendem, "Me sim O Shav le Devlesko?

³⁷If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not;

³⁷Chi pachan ma, antunchi, te na kerava le buchia murhe Dadeske.

³⁸but if I do, even if ye believe not me, believe the works, that ye may know [and believe] that the Father is in me and I in him.

³⁸Numa te kerava le, makar tume chi pachan ma, pachan ma pala murhe buchia kai kerav, kaste te sai zhanen, ai pachan, ke O Dat si ande mande, ai me sim ando Dat."

³⁹They sought therefore again to take him; and he went away from out of their hand

³⁹Pe kadia mai zumade te len les; numa skepisailo anda lenge vas.

⁴⁰and departed again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was baptising at the first: and he abode there.

⁴⁰O Jesus mai gelo inchal o Jordan kotse kai o Iovano mai anglal ambolelas, ai beshlo kotse.

⁴¹And many came to him, and said, John did no sign; but all things which John said of this [man] were true.

⁴¹But zhene avile leste ai phende, "O Iovano chi kerdia chi iek miraklo: numa so godi o Iovano phendia pa kado manush sas chacho."

⁴²And many believed on him there.

⁴²Ai but pachaiepe ande leste kotse.
