¹Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth [month], on the fifth of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

¹A stalo sa tridsiateho roku, štvrtého mesiaca, piateho dňa toho mesiaca, keď som bol medzi zajatými na rieke Chebáre, že sa otvorily nebesia, a videl som videnia Božie.

²On the fifth of the month, (it was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity,)

²Piateho dňa toho mesiaca (a to bol piaty rok zajatia kráľa Jojachina)

³the word of Jehovah came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of Jehovah was there upon him.

³stalo sa zreteľne slovo Hospodinovo k Ezechielovi, synovi Búziho, kňazovi, v zemi Chaldejov, na rieke Chebáre, a bola tam nad ním ruka Hospodinova.

⁴And I looked, and behold, a stormy wind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the look of glowing brass, out of the midst of the fire.

⁴A videl som a hľa, búrlivý vietor prišiel od severa, veľký oblak a plápolajúci oheň a vôkol neho žiara dookola, a zprostred neho sa videlo čosi na pohľad ako žeravý kov, zprostred toho ohňa.

⁵Also out of the midst thereof, the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the likeness of a man.

⁵A zprostred neho bolo vidieť podobu štyroch živých bytostí, a toto bola ich tvárnosť: maly podobu človeka.

⁶And every one had four faces, and every one of them had four wings.

⁶Každá mala štyri tváre a každá z nich mala štyri krýdla.

⁷And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled as the look of burnished brass.

⁷A ich nohy boly rovné, a spodok ich nôh bol ako spodok nohy teľaťa, a leskly sa na pohľad ako vyleštená meď.

⁸And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings:

⁸A pod ich krýdlami bolo vidieť ruky človeka po ich štyroch stranách, a všetky štyri maly svoje tváre a svoje krýdla.

⁹their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

⁹Ich krýdla boly pospájané jedno s druhým; neobracaly sa, keď išly, každá išla smerom svojej tvári.

¹⁰And the likeness of their faces was the face of a man; and they four had the face of a lion on the right side; and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four had also the face of an eagle.

¹⁰A podoba ich tvári bola jako tvár človeka; po pravej strane maly všetky štyri tvár leva, z ľavej strany maly všetky štyri tvár vola a maly, všetky štyri, aj tvár orla.

¹¹And their faces and their wings were parted above; two [wings] of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

¹¹Ich tváre a ich krýdla boly oddelené shora. Každá mala dve krýdla, ktoré spájaly všetky, a dve, ktoré kryly ich telá.

¹²And they went every one straight forward: whither the Spirit was to go, they went; they turned not when they went.

¹²Každá išla priamo smerom svojej tvári. Kam bol obrátený Duch ísť, ta išly; neobracaly sa, keď išly.

¹³And as for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, as the appearance of torches: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright; and out of the fire went forth lightning.

¹³A podoba tých živých bytostí bola na pohľad ako žeravé uhlie; horely na pohľad ako fakle; to chodilo pomedzi tie živé bytosti, a oheň mal žiaru, a z ohňa vychádzal blesk.

¹⁴And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

¹⁴A tie živé bytosti odbehávaly a zase sa navracovaly na pohľad ako blesk.

¹⁵And I looked at the living creatures, and behold, one wheel upon the earth beside the living creatures, toward their four faces.

¹⁵A keď som hľadel na tie živé bytosti, videl som, že hľa, po jednom kolese bolo na zemi vedľa tých živých bytostí, vo štyri smery jej tvári.

¹⁶The appearance of the wheels and their work was as the look of a chrysolite; and they four had one likeness; and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

¹⁶Kolesá a ich práca boly na pohľad ako farba taršíš, a všetky štyri maly jednu a tú istú podobu a boly na pohľad aj ich práca, jako keby bolo bývalo koleso v kolese.

¹⁷When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not when they went.

¹⁷Keď išly, išly na svoje štyri strany; neobracaly sa, keď išly.

¹⁸As for their rims, they were high and dreadful; and they four had their rims full of eyes round about.

¹⁸A čo do ich lúkotí, boly vysoké a strašné, a ich lúkote boly plné očí kolom dookola, ich všetkých štyroch.

¹⁹And when the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

¹⁹Keď išly živé bytosti, išly aj kolesá vedľa nich, a keď sa povzniesly živé bytosti od zeme, povzniesly sa aj kolesá.

²⁰Whithersoever the Spirit was to go, they went, thither would [their] spirit go; and the wheels were lifted up along with them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

²⁰Kam bol obrátený Duch ísť, ta išly, ta, kam chcel ísť Duch; a kolesá povznášaly sa spolu vedľa nich, lebo duch živej bytosti bol v kolesách;

²¹When those went, they went; and when those stood, they stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up along with them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

²¹keď išly tamtie, išly, a keď stály, stály; a keď sa povzniesly tamtie od zeme, povzniesly sa kolesá spolu s nimi, lebo duch živej bytosti bol v kolesách.

²²And there was the likeness of an expanse over the heads of the living creature, as the look of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

²²A nad hlavami tých živých bytostí bola podoba oblohy, na pohľad ako hrozný kryštál, roztiahnutá nad ich hlavami shora.

²³And under the expanse were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two which covered on this side, and every one had two which covered on that side their bodies.

²³A pod oblohou ich krýdla rovné, obrátené jedno k druhému. Každá mala dve, ktoré prikrývaly z jednej, a každá mala dve, ktoré prikrývaly z druhej strany ich telá.

²⁴And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, a tumultuous noise, as the noise of a host: when they stood, they let down their wings;

²⁴A počul som zvuk ich krýdel ako zvuk mnohých vôd, ako hlas Všemohúceho, keď išly, zvuk hukotu jako ruch tábora. Keď stály, spustily svoje krýdla.

²⁵and there was a voice from above the expanse that was over their heads. When they stood, they let down their wings.

²⁵A bolo čuť hlas zponad oblohy, ktorá bola nad ich hlavou. A keď tedy stály, spustily svoje krýdla.

²⁶And above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone; and upon the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

²⁶Shora nad oblohou, ktorá bola nad ich hlavou, bola podoba trónu, na pohľad ako kameň zafír a na podobe trónu bola podoba na pohľad ako človek, na ňom shora.

²⁷And I saw as the look of glowing brass, as the appearance of fire, within it round about; from the appearance of his loins and upward, and from the appearance of his loins and downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

²⁷A videl som niečo jako farbu žeravého kovu, niečo na pohľad ako oheň, čím bola obňatá dookola, od vidu jeho bedier a hore; a od vidu jeho bedier a dole som videl čosi na pohľad ako oheň, a ten na pohľad ako človek mal žiaru dookola.

²⁸As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Jehovah. And when I saw, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of one that spoke.

²⁸Na pohľad ako dúha, ktorá býva na oblaku v deň dažďa, taká bola na pohľad tá žiara dookola. To bol zjav podoby slávy Hospodinovej. A keď som to videl, padnul som na svoju tvár a počul som hlas hovoriaceho.
